After a serious leak flooded the…

After a serious leak flooded the downstairs of our house, I purchased the Daewoo 30L Dehumidifier to help dry out the affected area. Overall, I’m very pleased with its performance. It’s currently extracting around 400ml of moisture per day, which might not sound like much at first, but given that the space has a concrete floor covered with ceramic tiles, drying conditions are far from ideal. In that context, it’s doing a solid and consistent job.

One of the standout features is how easy it is to use. It’s genuinely plug-and-play—no complicated setup or confusing controls, which was a huge relief during an already stressful situation.

That said, there is one design flaw worth mentioning. The water tank includes a long, narrow viewing window that’s meant to show the water level, but in practice, it’s too opaque to be useful. I often had to remove the tank entirely just to check how full it was, which is a bit inconvenient.

As for the purchasing experience, everything went smoothly. The ordering process was straightforward and professional, delivery was prompt, and I appreciated being kept informed throughout.

All things considered, despite the minor issue with the water level window, this dehumidifier has proven to be a reliable and effective solution for a challenging drying job.

Faulty 16l dehumidifier, no interest from Daewoo

Bought a 16l dehumidifier from ASDA George. The first two units were faulty and had to be returned, the 3rd worked for 18 months until the display and control buttons stopped working. Daewoo would not help, because I had not registered for their extended warranty. Shoddy products and poor customer service.

Under the Consumer Rights Act your consumer rights are valid against the retailer who sold you the product in question, We offer a free extended Guarantee which is in addition to your statutory rights however this is down to each individual customer on whether they decide to take this out as to the terms provided in the instruction manual that came with the appliance.

I bought a Daewoo Compact Lyte Handheld…

I bought a Daewoo Compact Lyte Handheld vacuum in December. It no longer works. It's plugged and the blue light indicates full energy but as soon as I disconnect it to use it, it suddenly goes red and shuts off. Waste of money. Also can't get in touch with anyone in customer service.

Very impressed

Received counter top oven next day after order.
It wouldn't fit where I wanted so asked for return.
Deawoo replied straight away that they would have item picked up on a day to suit me.
My son managed to reposition oven and it is working very well.
Very happy.

Mi televisor DAEWOO

Daewoo soup maker problems

Daewoo soup maker absolutely useless, my first one started turning off and on, sometimes coming back on only displaying half the lights, I gave up and returned the item, I did wonder if it was my fault opening the unit partly through cooking and steam getting into the electrics on the handle. I returned the unit ordered a new, not opening the lid at all during cooking, now today the unit switches off again and after a while resumes cooking, I shall return this one as well, how hard can it be to design a pot that heats up and spins a blending blade, when I contacted customer service the first time was given the impression that there had been numerous returns of this item. Daewoo probably wont read this review again but here's 3 ideas :-
1. Supply a small cheap plastic guard to cover blades when washing and drying.
2. You have a 4 digit LED display on the unit, the unit knows why its turning off, use the 4 digits to display Error Codes to help the customer know what's wrong, maybe there will be less returns.
3. Nobody else seems to do it, but what about a display on the outside of the jug to show the current fill level to avoid overfilling, may be a little bit more convenient than relying on the internal level. indicator.

I am sorry to hear that the item appears to be faulty.
As to the manual the item comes with a 2 year EXTENDED warranty (subject to registering within 28 days of purchase).
The 1st 12 months of the warranty are with the retailer as to your statutory rights, so you will need to visit your local store or contact the retailer to arrange an exchange/refund.

If the retailer is unsure of the procedure in regards to the warranty ask them to contact their head office/sales team for further information/clarification.

Good product bad customer service

Food warmer / Slow cooker bought for 27.99 and after a couple of uses (good product no issues there), the bottom of box gave away and 2 of the bowls broken. Contacted customer service to request 2 bowls and happy to pay - was redirected by them to go to retailer where I purchased this but they were not helpful. Came back to Daewoo and they want £30 for 2 replacement bowls when the slow cooker with 3 bowls cost around 28 - not sure how that can be justified. So don't expect them to come to help too eagerly if you have an issue.

Original order was placed with Robert dyas Order Confirmation - Order #1223162023. (Adding asbRequested by Daewoo. I contacted them and they asked me to check with Daewoo as they dont have spares)

Brilliant, just Brilliant

Ordering process was simple and efficient. Delivery fantastically speedy and FedEx, delivery company were brilliant.
I purchased the smaller food mixer which, having now been used is very very impressive. It's action is efficient and quick. I like the way the beater slots in and secured. The mixer is exceptionally quiet. The proof is in the eating....the cake has been gone down extremely well - it is light and moist and has received rave reviews from those who have tried it.

All in all an extremely positive experience.

Customer service was exceptional

Customer service was exceptional. There was a fault in one area of the decorative finish on the toaster I ordered. I emailed customer services and they replied very quickly and organised a replacement to be sent out straight away. Fantastic customer care.
