We married in 2020 and the team made sure everything was to our liking. The correspondence between Yuki and us was always reliable and friendly. We were planning during Covid and managed to make it in right after borders opened for a short while, just to see them close again. They were very helpful during this process.
The wedding itself was just as planned and very elegant. The merchant’s courtroom was so beautiful and this elegance came through on our Skype call. Many “attendees” said they felt like they were there in person and could even feel the essence of the moment through our video call.
They were very accommodating and gave us alcohol free champagne since I don’t drink alcohol. The bouquet and boutonnière were stunningly beautiful. They matched our outfits to a tee (I showed Louise a photo of just my husband’s suit beforehand) and we couldn’t have been happier.
The island was also very romantic and beautiful.
We highly recommend Danish Island Weddings.

We have had a lovely wedding and enjoyed our time very much on the island.
The team has been very warm welcoming and tolerant with us: we missed our cruise and could not make it on time for the government registration, yet the team managed to reschedule it and helped us avoid troubles. I am very thankful for what they did.
Not to mention the beautiful bouquet that Louise had prepared and also the wonderful wedding cake.
If there is anything that I could make a suggestion about, it would be the hairdresser. She was very kind, but I thought she could upgrade her utensils(the combs weren’t very clean). And the fact that I am Asian and had straight hair which is harder to work with, my hair kept falling that day.
However this shouldn’t be considered as a big problem, taking under account of the limited resources on the small island and all the benefits we have had. Only to avoid surprises, I suggest the bride-to-be to spend more effort communicating with the hairdresser ;)
After all this has been a wonderful experience and would become a life long memory.

The service was flawless from the first moment on. Yuki in particular guided us through every step of the process. The replies on our questions were always within half an hour if not shorter. Also excellent service with helping us getting married at the CPH City Hall, the hassles of our different passports and the border restrictions due to covid-19. We are more than happy and can't thank them enough!!

Thank you for everything!!! You are an amazing team of dedicated and fantastic people. We will be forever grateful for your tremendous help especially during these hard Covid-19 times. Hallo, wenn man in Deutschland eine/n Ausländer/in heiraten möchte, kann es ganz schön schwierig werden, All die Dokumente, die beglaubigt werden müssen, die unzutreffenden Aussagen einiger Bürokraten, die einem Zeit und Geld rauben so wie Kosten die auf jemanden zukommen können, haben meine Frau und mich dazu bewegt, in Dänemark zu heiraten. Der Weg dorthin hat viel Zeit und Geld gekostet. Viele Informationen haben wir aus dem Internet erhalten, aber auch Dr. Google weiß nicht alles. Nach der Kontaktaufnahme zu einigen Heiratsagenturen in Dänemark, erschien Y. von Danish Island Weddings am ... sympatischsten. Sie konnte auf unsere Fragen antworten, hat schnell reagiert, uns Tips gegeben und alles organisiert.
Auch die Kostenübersicht stimmt, keine versteckten Kosten, und wenn man etwas ändern möchte, ist dies auch möglich. Ich war auch ein bisschen misstrauisch, ob mein überwiesenes Gled verloren gehen würde. Aber der gute E-Mail-Kontakt hat sich auch in Dänemark bestätigt. Wir wurden vor der Hochzeit herzlich von Y. empfangen und wir haben uns gut unterhalten und viel gelacht. Wir hatten einen Sonderwunsch auf den sie eingegangen ist und mit in die Zeremonie mit eingebunden hat. Die Trauung war kurz, aber Y. hat sich um die Details gekümmert, uns unterstützt und ihren Teil dazubeigetragen, einen weiteren Sonnenstrahl auf unserem Traumtag scheinen zu lassen. Aeroskobing ist eine schöne Stadt, das Zimmer, in der die Trauung statt fand, eine schöne Kulisse.

Ich kann DIW guten Gewissenes und frohen Sinnes weiter empfehlen.

We are absolutely satisfied with DIW. Am not sure if have ever met a friendly, compassionate and well organised set of people before. We got all the needed assistance from day 1, starting from the documents needed for the wedding to answering every bit of questions we had.

Danish Island Weddings is simply awesome! From the first email requesting information we received superior service. This is back in April 2020 when our journey started and the pandemia put the world in a frenzy.

Yuki, was our wedding planner and she guided us every step of the way. From sharing the available services, requirements for the license application, corrections, tips and tricks due to COVID, The Merchants Court set up, you name it, she covered it and made our journey a successful one. Double points for making it happen with so much uncertainty due to COVID.

Our ceremony was on Oct. 16th and everything was perfect! We planned a zoom session to have family and friends attend and were provided with ample time for the set up and support with the logistics.

Throughout all the difficulties presented by the current pandemic, they have done everything possible to accommodate the necessary changes and to make sure that we had an incredible, beautiful day. Louise, Anna, Yuki, and John are some of the kindest, most professional people we have ever had the privilege of meeting or working with. Our wedding was tasteful, elegant, and perfect for us in every way! We are so glad that we trusted them with our special day!

Just got back from Ærø and had the most incredible and special wedding day all organised by Danish Island Weddings. We could not have asked for more. The team were absolutely brilliant and responded to all our queries quickly before we arrived and the excellent service continued in person on arrival in Ærø.
Louise has the most magical touch with decor and the flowers were spot on. We als had Neli Garnet as our photographer and she was amazing.
We are so glad we put our trust in Danish Island Weddings, we cannot recommend them highly enough!

The Danish Island Wedding team took excellent care of everything. From first contact, through following up with a few missing items, trying to arrange an alternative hairdresser & make up artist (though we ultimately decided to hair & makeup ourselves) and also finding an amazing photographer.

We felt in safe hands, had a very nice place to get married and the Champagne was excellent as well :)

I'd say we'd come again, but we really hope this one lasts!

I'm Malaysian and my (now) husband is Scottish. One of the main reasons we decided to hire Danish Island Weddings for our small and intimate wedding in Aero was because Denmark is very welcoming with the union of international couples. We also really didn't want anything huge nor for our special day to be catered to anyone else but us. Our decision to work with Danish Island Weddings was one of the best decisions we ever made for ourselves!

I contacted Anna since the end of 2019, and communication between us was always prompt and clear. She helped me through every step of the application process to register for our wedding in Denmark. Even during this pandemic, she went above and beyond to ensure that we were able to go through with our special day. She was just brilliant and so helpful!

Other than that, the whole team made our wedding completely stress-free and just very beautiful. Down to the smallest detail, from scheduling, to our cake, to my bouquet of beautiful white flowers, we didn't have to worry about anything because everything was sorted out for us. The venue that we chose, the Merchant's Court, was also very rustic and gorgeous!

Our day was perfect, emotional, very special and memorable and we couldn't have had such a brilliant day without Danish Island Weddings! I can't imagine any other way of getting married, I'm just so grateful it was relaxed and completely stress-free. If you're considering getting married in Aero and contacting Danish Island Weddings, what are you waiting for?! I highly recommend them! You won't regret it!
