During this challenging time we are grateful to have DWI supporting us. Yuki has been responding to us and providing advise and guidance to us to make our special day happen. Louise and John were there to on our big day and everything went smoothly. DWI is very reliable and we are very happy to have our wedding with DWI!

Everything about our experience with Danish Island Weddings was the epitome of perfection. From our first contact via email right up until the moment we left the island, nothing could have been better.

There can be a lot of paperwork involved in getting married, particularly when you and your partner are of different nationalities and then you live in a different country again! DIW take away the stress of this by dealing with it all on your behalf. There are no painful discussions in foreign legalese which are incomprehensible at the best of times, just a simple form to fill in with clear instructions on exactly what documentation needs to be provided and when. And any questions I had (about absolutely anything) were dealt with quickly, efficiently and, most importantly, in the friendliest of manners.

Deciding to get married during a global pandemic probably wasn't the best decision on our part, and yes, we did have to suffer a cancellation because of it. However, I never once doubted the team's ability to make it all come together eventually, which it duly did two weeks ago, and in the most romantic, dreamy and picture-perfect way possible. Flowers, cake, hair, make-up, photography, location, organisation, attention to detail, accommodation and restaurant recommendations, even the weather... all were beyond our wildest dreams.

But, without doubt, the icing on the cake for us was the way in which we were made to feel like we were the only couple in the world and that nobody else mattered except us. One only needs to look at the fabulous gallery of photos of happy couples plastered all over the walls in the DIW office to know that this clearly was not the case, but their personal attention and ability to make you feel valued was second to none.

We could not have wished for a more perfect wedding, and for that we have the whole of the DIW team to thank.

The service DIW offer is just perfect. You get one person's contact, in my case Anna, and she answered all our emails really fast no matter the hour or day. She would clarify everything for us, and preparation for the wedding was extremely easy since they take care of everything. Once in Aero, we met with Neli (photographer) and Loulou the day before the wedding and they were just so warm and welcoming. They ensured we got all our requests done and they showed us the place where the ceremony would happen, which was in the merchants house, really nice. On the wedding day they decorated the place with flowers and the day was just perfect. John also came that day and he was as warm and friendly as Loulou and Neli. We would totally recommend them to anyone that wants a romantic, stress free wedding!

We had the best experience on our big day. We felt the team was as happy as we were on our day this added so much good vibes to our day.

Everything was as promised and discussed. They were. available to answer round the clock and the whole process went super smooth.

Yuki und ihr Team haben uns eine traumhafte Hochzeit ausgerichtet. Sehr liebevoll alle Details zusammengestellt bis hin zur passenden Musik. Der Rahmen und die Begleitung waren perfekt. Alle unsere Wünsche würden erfüllt. Die Blumen waren perfekt auf die Farben meines Kleides abgestimmt. Selbst das Fotoshooting mit Nely entsprach unseren Wünschen.

Amazing, Danish Island Weddings delivered better than promised. We had a perfect day and Yuki did a terrific job - warmly recommended!

Marrying on Ærø was a dreamlike experience. Everything was just perfect - the water, the sand, the weather, the flowers, the food... we had four months of planning time ahead during which we had several nice and informative chats with the DIW team. Everything went very smoothly despite our frequent anxious checkings of the current Covid regulations and their potential interfering with our plans. Ultimately, we had a lovely time on this Danish fairytale island. Two days before the ceremony, we met our official who also had her share in making this moment as personal and intimate as we hoped it would be. Together with Louise from DIW, we visited the locations on the beach and made final decisions regarding flowers, nibbles and schedule. DIW regular photographer Neli took the time as well and planned the photo shooting with us. Given how meticulous and caring her visual arrangements were, we are very much looking forward to enjoying the results. Altogether, the team seemed very close and relaxed yet professional and attentive to details, a mixture we highly appreciate. This includes DIW regular makeup artist Mira, who thankfully agreed to do our hair and makeup with extremely agreeable results. After the ceremony, we spent a cheerful afternoon in the family's beach hut devouring the deliciously lemony cake. We would like to subscribe for a weekly delivery of this cake. It was the first wedding cake ever of which everyone in the wedding party not only finished the first slice but had a second right away.
However, if we have to name a personal highlight among many, it probably would be the flowers - beautiful in colour and composition while seasonal, fresh and pristine. Louise did a great job there.
In conclusion, we would like to express our gratitude to the whole team for sharing this journey with us and helping us make it unforgettable. If we ever consider a renewal of our vows, you guys would be our first choice again.

Words cannot begin to express the beauty of Ærø, or the intimate and lovely service that Danish Island Weddings provided to our families. From the venue, to the service, to the cake, and wedding pictures nothing was left to chance. I want to thank everyone involved for making us feel like we were a part of the Ærø family.

The Danish Island Wedding dream team made it happen for us. I got in touch with Yuki in Feb-Mar 2020 and we got married in June 2020. We were planning this wedding for more than a year! And finally, it happened because they made it happen for us. What I love in particular:

Very professional. I love how they organized everything. From papers to events. I think this is a full service worth taking. On my wedding week, I had so much going on (personal stuff) - submitting my MBA thesis and resigning from my job. I was already stressed. But the DIW took care of everything so I didn’t have to worry about anything. Our wedding had maximum hygge.

Very personal. I love how the team is attentive to every detail. From the flowers to the wedding champagne, everything was just perfect. Thank you Louise for the beautiful flowers and John for taking care of the weather :-D

Very creative. I love their rustic Danish theme. It feels very personal to me.

I would definitely recommend their Merchant Wedding Service because you have this personal space. If you marry at the registry office, you are in line with a bunch of people waiting to be on the list. Since we had guests, we chose the Merchant venue. But if it would be just the two of us, we would have loved to take the lighthouse venue. It had a symbolic feeling. Maybe when we renew our vows, this is definitely something we would love to take.

Also, if you are worried that Aeroskobing may seem far, do not be: it is worth the travel. The island is super relaxing., charming, and it is a perfect destination for a get-away trip. I believe that the island puts the Danish way of living on a pedestal. Louise and Yuki called it a fairytale island. They were right.

Yuki and her team gave us an amazing amount of support before, during, and after our wedding. Like many other cases, ours was complicated from a bureaucratic point of view, but the Danish Island Weddings team have so much experience that they knew exactly what to do, where to get which document etc. They advised beforehand which café and restaurant to choose, organized a delicious wedding cake, negotiated the lunch menu for us, sent a list of recommended accomodation for our guests, and so much more. On the day of our wedding, Yuki was always there to help whenever we had a question. After our wedding we both thought: if we had planned our wedding like „normal“ people who don’t have the bureacratic hassle, we would have wished for getting exactly the same as we actually did! So we highly recommend getting married on Ærø - it’s a dream - and of course through Danish Island Weddings.
