This team is amazing, freindly, organized, very patient and always ready to help and hear you out. They made sure our special day to be magical and Hassel free. Yuki is very sweet and kind and very very good at her Job and Louise made the best bridal flowers of my choice. I would highly recommend for any one who is in love and want to get married with out so much fuss and just be there and enjoy their own wedding, i would suggest Danish Island Weddings for sure. They helped with booking restaurants and cafes and guided us through out. We cant thank them enough for making everything so beautiful and Special for us.

They are the best wedding planners! Everything was perfect, from processing of papers up to the very last details. It was fast and smooth. My supposed HMUA had a medical emergency 3 days before the wedding and they managed to find new HMUA just in time for the wedding (it was almost already holiday season). Stressed-free. Best decision ever to have the wedding in Ærø with the team if DIW. We had a romantic and intimate winter holiday in the middle of december.

Everything was set up on time and it was very organized. We had a great time with our families.

As an international couple, we struggled a lot with getting legally married in our home countries (Ireland and Russia) as well as in our country of residence (France). We decided to get married in Denmark and more specifically, on Aero since we wanted to make this moment special. We spent a few days on the island, had a little ceremony, took some pictures and even got to hang out in a local bar!
“Danish Island Weddings” did everything to make our wedding day perfect. They advised us on absolutely everything from how to get to the island by plane/car and where to park it to where to have dinner and much more. We were very well taken care of and the whole experience was like a dream come true!
Individual approach and a great attention to details makes “DIW” a wonderful company. We were guided throughout the whole process that was smooth and pleasant. Every question we had was immediately answered, even when we had some additional requests or weren’t sure about something. Everything was organized - from bridal makeup to flowers, ring box, champagne, music and many more details that felt so natural that we cannot even think of them individually.
I would also like to highlight that we had to change our wedding date for a month later due to some personal rearrangements. “DIW” made it possible very quickly after we’ve informed them about the change and we didn’t stress about it at all. Overall, it was very easy to organize our elopement with “Danish Island Weddings” and we would without a doubt recommend them to all couples!

It's been exactly 1 month since my husband and I got married in the dreamy little town of Ærøskøbing. We had an intimate but very beautiful ceremony all thanks to the Danish Island Weddings team. Louise and Yuki assisted us in every step towards our big day. They answered every query that we had very patiently. They were very responsive and we received timely feedback from them. When our application got approved, we asked them if they could plan our wedding in just two weeks and they confidently confirmed this. Despite giving them a very small time window to plan, they absolutely delivered. They helped us with our lodging (in their awesome family-owned farmhouse!), booked us our reception place, linked us up with our incredible photographer and make up artist! We were so calm on our wedding day and it was just stress-free since Louise & Yuki just took care of everything. Jon, Louise's husband, drove me from the farmhouse to the town and he was such a good company! We loved that our theme was really followed! The pink trabby, my bouquet, my husband's boutonniere, our super delicious wedding cake, the set up in the Old Merchant's house. Everything was perfect! What a great experience they gave us!! The ease of turning in the paperwork and planning was just amazing. I am glad we went this route for our wedding. We did the Merchant House package and Anna was so great and attentive to all the questions and requests. The room that we got married in is beautiful with candles and flowers. All of the details were covered and we really didn't have to stress about anything on our day, which is just amazing.
We had the lemon cake and it was delicious and the Champagne was just perfect. Really everything went so smooth and it was so amazing! Definitely 5 star experience!

My husband and I had an amazing experience with our photographer, Neli Garnet, at DIW. I had been admiring her work for the last few years and I was elated when she was available to photograph our wedding. She was everything I imagined and more! Not only are her pictures amazing, she was lovely to work with. It has been two months since our wedding on Aeroe, and I catch myself looking at our pictures daily. Her pictures were the absolute perfect representation of the best day of our lives. Our friends and family love the pictures as well and we've received endless compliments on how lucky we were to have had such a talented photographer. What I love most about the photos is that they capture the joy and the beauty of the island in such an artistic and thoughtful way. She's a true talent. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Neli!

We were engaged for almost two years and couldn't have the wedding that we wanted initially due to corona and some other reasons. So we finally decided to elope and get married on a beautiful island of Aero. Honestly, I didn't even hope that our wedding day would be so perfect that I would actually end up being thankful for all of the obstacles on our way which led us to getting married with the Danish Island Weddings. We planned our ceremony only about a month in advance and DIW could have done it even faster, but we needed a bit of time to prepare. Yuki was constantly in touch with us and helped us with the documents and just made so easy for us! She also recommended us a nice place to stay and a restaurant to celebrate our wedding. All recommendations were spot-on.
Once we got to the island we met Louise, who was super nice and helped us every step of the way. She also picked out some amazing flowers for my bouquet and for the decoration of the room. We got married at an Old Merchant's House, which is conveniently located on the central square of Aeroskobing and right above DIW office, it was just a 3 minute walk away from our hotel. It is a cozy, beautiful room with lots of light.
We got married just the two of us but the people on the island were so warm and welcoming that we felt lucky to share our day with them. The ceremony was led by a very pleasant lady, and it just felt very personal. Our photographer was Neli Garnet (also recommended by DIW) and she was great. The place where we stayed was Vestergarde 44 and we really recommend it, the owner Susanne is an amazing and very welcoming lady with a great sense of humour :) In the evening we enjoyed a gourmet dinner at a family-owned restaurant called Arnfeldt and it was soooo delicious. What makes Aero so special are definitely the people!
If you are hesitating about getting married with DIW, just don't. It will be an amazing day to cherish for the rest of your life. And we can't wait to go back there for our anniversary.

Honestly I can't thank Danish Island Weddings enough for how they made our day so special. They are so wonderfully warm, caring and genuine. Thank you especially to Anna and Yuki. They made the whole process from start to finish so easy. We married in the beautiful Old Merchant's House and had no guests, but with Yuki there, it felt like we had a good friend present. DIW is a highly professional, family-run business and you can tell they really love what they do. Highly recommended!

Danish Island Weddings family, (AKA Louise, Yuki, John, Neli, & Mira) organised and orchestrated a wonderful day for my (now) wife and I!
We contacted DIW in early 2021, mostly speaking to Yuki, and they were consistent and helpful every step of the way. We were married in the end of September, and everything went off without a hitch. We even had the luck of the weather on our side, we were blessed with a sunny ceremony.

Yuki was especially helpful throughout our many emails, organising everything we needed as two foreigners getting married in Denmark during such a wild time.

John performed a lovely ceremony. For us, the standard Danish government reading was fine but we wanted something with more heart and boy did John deliver! He was poetic and sweet, without being sappy or long-winded. Both us and our families were thoroughly touched by his readings, and I would highly recommend having him officiate!

Louise was such a superstar! My biggest excitement leading up to the wedding was about the flowers, and she did not disappoint. With her flower crowns, decorative flowers, and beautiful bouquet, I was overwhelmed by her ability to artistically arrange everything and I could tell she really took my/my wife's sensibilities into account (thanks again for adding thistle!) really, what a dream. I plan to press the flowers and preserve them for years to come.

Neli was our photographer and she did a splendid job. We never felt uncomfortable, pressed for time, or pressured in any way. She really made us feel at ease and kept the whole vibe organic. When people say she's more than a photographer, they're right, she's a storyteller. We could see her dedication to her work twofold, as she had recently broken her ankle and never once complained. What a trooper. We can't recommend her any higher, and she was a strong reason for us choosing Aero to wed on.

Due to an oversight (I never requested hair and makeup!) the day before a wedding I thought we'd be scrambling to find someone, but Louise sent a text to the makeup artist Mira and we had her confirmed within a couple hours so I could breathe easy. My mom loved Mira, so did I. She was easy to talk to, an important quality in someone you'll spend a chunk of your wedding day with, and did an excellent job to boot. I don't think I've ever had so many compliments on my makeup, and the way she did my hair made me feel like Shirley Temple and an angel all rolled up in one. I felt really special, and she was such a big reason for that.

Overall, we had an amazing day. Delicious cakes (we got the lemon and chocolate and no one could decide what was better, they were both so good), good people, the cutest town, and lots of great dinner and accommodation recommendations along the way to make sure everything went smoothly. Couldn't ask for anything more. We are already planning our anniversary trip back to Ærøskøbing next year!
