Bought some ox heart and chose 4th June for delivery, obviously not arrived. Only had an email when ordered stating order processing and not had one since. Very disappointing

People can tell you I've eaten a lot of pies over the years. So when David Cox Butchers opened a branch in the Gorbals and advertised an award winning pie I had to try it. It was a large steak pie and we had it for supper. My word, outside of homemade this was probably the best pie I've had. The missus agrees wholeheartedly. Exceptional. Truly exceptional. Cannot recommend highly enough. The generous filling and superb pastry puts to shame other store bought brands and for what passes for pie in some pubs, cafes and restaurants.

Ordered 5kg of mince and 7kg of chicken. The order came 3 days after the agreed delivery date, and the mince came spoiled (had to go in the bin). £172 spent and £100 worth of mince completely useless. Ordered on the 6/1 for 9/1 (paid £12 delivery) emailed on 11/1, arrived on 12/1 and got an email on 17/1 saying my order was on its way but still no reply to my email on 11/1. Avoid!

I have now purchased products from all 3 of the shops and the high standards flow from shop to shop. The staff are always welcoming and very knowledgeable. I get varied items and everything is always fresh and of high quality. The Steak Pie (2 times gold award winning) is phenomenal and I was always very fussy and wouldn't want a premade one till I had theirs!!

I get breakfast items, pies, spiced raw beef ham, steak etc but the chicken breasts are also something else!! so big and no waste like you get from supermarket ones.

Prices are fair when you see and taste the quality. Cant beat it. Proper family business that cares about the customers and the community.

Just received my 5th online order & as always the quality of the food is fantastic & arrived very quickly, on the second day after ordering.
I’ve tried quite a few Scottish butchers who deliver to England via courier with mixed results, since finding David Cox I haven’t needed to look anywhere else. Not only is the quality & freshness top notch but you can tell it’s a family butchers that take great pride in what they do.

I had not used this butchers before but I read the reviews which were good so I ordered 4 filet steaks
I received a phone call telling me that due to unforeseen circumstances my order was going to be delayed by one day this wasn't a problem as I had not planned when I was going to use them. The gentleman that rang me was very apologetic and could have not been nicer, he promised the order would arrive the next day which it did we had them last night and were very impressed they were so tender and full of flavour, will definitely be back.

All goods well packaged arrived next day after placing order excellent communication and all products received were of a very high standard highly recommend this company to all .
