I did not understand the lack of follow-up from the team on the assignment 2 - but somebody cleared it up quickly for me.

I feel scammed. I was sold the concept of an interactive course, and you basically get a bunch of videos. The quizzes are worded awkwardly, and the draconian rules around their test taking are ridiculous. I was told over and over this would be a great course for a small business owner. BS.

I'm currently working through the Certified Digital Marketing Course and I couldn't be more impressed with the overall experience. The content is thorough, up-to-date, and extremely valuable for anyone looking to deepen their knowledge in digital marketing. The lessons are well-structured and provide practical insights that I can immediately apply to my work.

A huge plus was the fantastic customer support. Anytime I had a question or needed assistance, the team was quick to respond and very helpful. I want to give a special shoutout to Allison Byrne in customer support—her prompt assistance made the learning journey smooth and stress-free. She went above and beyond and I am very appreciative.

Alison was awesome to work with and really put my mind at ease. She was very responsive, kind, caring and empathetic. I'm so grateful to have her support so I could complete my studies during a very difficult time.

Overall, good experience.
First, the good: the handbook was thorough so it made doing the assignments less frustrating.
Second, the not good: the line staff is overwhelmed and responses varied from a few days, to months, and in one case never.
Third, the best: the course materials and information were excellent, and being able to walk through a project is better than reading about it.

The course material is great and what I've learnt has been very valuable to my job role BUT the visual content itself is very poor.

The videography isn't great - sometimes the presenter isn't even centred aligned, the chroma key isn't done very well which can be quite distracting because it just makes the presenter look a little strange from time to time. I've also spotted a lot of noise and general poor quality from the presenter when watching the videos which again can be distracting - especially when placed onto a white background.

Module 7 looks like a much older module that has been repurposed for this course - the presenters look different to 'usual' and the quality on the videos is nowhere near the level of the other 9 modules (with the low quality, you can actually see the green screen in certain videos).

The summary video at the end of each lesson too isn't great, the AI generated voice sounds like a train announcement - which isn't very engaging (I'd definitely look at getting one of the main tutors to do the voiceover for these as it would make it much more engaging).

The material of the course is good, you can clearly tell that the opinions of experts have been used and it's a great touch to see the lessons getting updated in line with any major updates to tools that are showing.

Resources are also useful, and really handy that you can download them to then apply straight into your day-to-day work.

Overall, I wouldn't say the course is good value for money - for such an expensive price and large company I would expect the actual lessons to be of a lot higher standard. With my experience with smaller & local training providers the quality of the courses have been of a much better standard for a fraction of the price.

I want to thank the Digital Marketing Institute for their incredible support throughout my journey. Although it took me longer to complete due to medical issues and complications with my chosen assignment company, the team was always there for me—special thanks to Darragh for his constant support and encouragement and to Niamh, whose help was invaluable. Michelle also went above and beyond, even responding to my messages during her time off – a testament to exceptional customer care. I couldn’t have done it without them, and I’m genuinely grateful for their dedication.

I previously successfully accomplished the Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing (DMI PRO) c/o DMI. I just completed the Postgraduate Diploma in Digital Marketing (DMI EXPERT). Both are part of the DMI’s Certification Roadmap. These DMI credentials will afford me the digital competences to work at a supervisory or strategic stage.

DMI supports digital marketers theoretically / instrumentally / experientially – DMI is the keystone species in the DM ecosystem & the ne plus ultra provider in accredited trainings. The courses guarantee that one will be knowledgeable re: the strategies / tools / techniques of DM campaign management; likewise, one will have the requisite skills to contribute to planning / implementing DM strategies.

I especially want to acknowledge & appreciate Darragh, Niamh, & Michelle for their considerable understanding and flexibility re: the multiple extensions c/o my medical conundrums & life dramas. They have the patience of Job! Thank you very much again!

After many attempts on the phone and not receiving an answer, Alison Byrne was extremely helpful via email and the Support box function. Alison was able to help me figure out my exam information and was truly a gift when I was frustrated with not being able to receive real help from a person. I can't thank Alison enough.

Alison was wonderful with helping me with my course access after some medical issues. I have been learning so much and I appreciate the extended access more than you will ever know.

I bought a course from DMI - before I bought it, I said 'I have a disability, can I get help', they replied 'Yes, of course, we will help you when you need it'.
Perfect I thought and bought the not-so-cheap course.
When I needed help, I got in touch and I was told they'd give me an 'extension as a gesture of good will' because I hadn't provided proof of my disability which I had never been asked for.
It came to the exam, which was paid for as part of the course fee, and they knew nothing about my disability so I couldn't take it as no allowances had been made. I was in tears by this point, and very distressed because I'd worked very hard to prep for that exam and I felt ready to take it.
I went back to the DMI and they said again, I needed to send proof, which I did and all they offered was a rebook but again, no provisions for my disability would be made. I advised I can't do it under those conditions so maybe just refund the exam fee? I was totally put off the exam after the last experience and this was several months after the initial try so I would need to study again for it.
They said they would escalate the situation to a supervisor and someone would be in touch.
I never heard from them again.
It's so exhausting having to fight your own corner when you're disabled - I wasn't asking for the world, either some help/slight modifications for me to take the exam, or a refund of the exam fee but I was just dismissed.
I gave up in the end and I would never use DMI again as they didn't even do the bare-minimum to aid someone with disabilities.

**Edit: since this review, I have been given a refund on my exam fees. I was offered the option to rebook the exam as they have a new exam partner who could better deal with my disability. I didn't want to do that after the traumatic experience. However, the refund came quickly and the representative I spoke to was very helpful. As such, I've changed my rating slightly. I still want to point out the situation/my experience for other disabled users but I'll give them the DMI the benefit of the doubt that things are now changing for the better.
