The most perfect location for a weekend away! I live 10 minutes down the road and this place still feels like a luxury getaway! We booked this for a peaceful hen weekend, and the staff were so understanding and accommodating when we said we were after a peaceful non roudy activities weekend! It was not a blanket no like most places, so long as we were respectful and followed their rules. The pods are so beautiful! Hot tub, fire pit, picnic table and fully equipped pod of everything you could possibly need! Dilham is sat in the heart of Norfolk right on the canal. We set up camp on the canoe field one day where we hired canoes and paddleboards with a 20% discount when you’re staying there. They were kind enough to let us use their bbq & stay all day long on the field! We went to dilham cross keys pub for dinner one night which is around a 30 minute pleasant walk from the retreat. I couldn’t recommend enough & will personally be back myself! (Along with the majority of the hen party!) communication with staff via email on the run up was really good, and they welcomed us for a viewing before booking. Thanks so much Dilham Hall!

If we’d not have had a chance meeting and a wonderful introduction with the owner on our way into the retreat then we wouldn’t have seen anyone from Dilham Hall during our exceptional 3 night stay. And that is just how Luke & Louise want it to be and every small detail has been meticulously thought of. Total privacy, peace and quiet and the ultimate in relaxation are all high on the agenda with a stay at Dilham Hall Retreats - even to the point that there are robotic lawn mowers so no one disturbs you.
Staying in an adult only pod in the Broad Fen area of the retreat, we were treated to luxury accommodation with a comfy bed, powerful shower, more than enough kitchen appliances, sofa and a large TV - although I can’t comment on the quality of the TV as we didn’t even have the need to turn it on! Outside was a splendid wood fired hot tub, table & chairs, fire pit and gas BBQ all within the privacy of your own area of Broad Fen. Whilst the other 2 pods were occupied during our stay, you wouldn’t have know it such was the thoughtful way the pods have been laid out and screens put in place.
We did, however, see plenty of wildlife from the comfort of the pod patio area. Numerous hares, deer and pheasants were seen enjoying the sunshine just a few yards away from us whilst we listened to the birdsong coming from the many different birds in the trees.

There is also a fantastic canoe hire on the side of the privately owned canal with a 20% discount offered for guests staying on the retreat. Due to its private nature you’re not going to encounter any motorised vessels, just maybe passing another kayak or canoe. The waterway is full of hundreds, maybe thousands, of dragonfly and damselfly and we even saw a Kingfisher after its next meal. A perfect way to spend the afternoon before heading back to the hot tub and a glass of fizz for a bit more tranquility.

As well as the adult only Broad Fen, there is a family and dog friendly set of pods that line the canal.

This was our second stay at Dilham Hall and certainly won’t be last, looking forward to returning in the near future for another thoroughly relaxing break.

We stayed at the campsite and hired a canoe for the day and we couldn't have been made more welcome a cuppa offered when we stopped at the other canoe hire site and a friendly chat. Useful recommendations for a cafe and top tips along the way. It was a glorious sunny day and everyone we saw was having a great time too. We really cannot recommend this enough.

Our second stay at Dilham Hall Retreats and this time we stayed in one of the ‘couples’ pods. So peaceful. Amazingly fitted out accommodation with so many clever and thoughtful touches to make our stay extra special. Massively recommended.

This was a lovely place, really beautiful setting by the river.
The host was very helpful and got back to me immediately with answers.
The pod was perfect for our needs, the beds comfortable, lovely shower. We also had fun in the hot tubs and the fire pit .

What a amazing experience. we just returned from staying over new Year and had a wonderful time. Whilst the temperature was 0C outside the POD was warm and comfortable. The woodburning hot tub was fun and a definite highlight. POD had everything you needed. Shame the weather was so cold as it is a great place to be able to sit outside in total relaxation... Gaydon Arms is also worth a visit

Lovely place to stay!
We stayed in the couples glamping pods. It was so peaceful and quiet and in a lovely area. The pods are just the right size for a cozy getaway and have a perfect blend of luxury and nature. The pod was clean and nicely decorated, with a super comfy bed. The hot tub was amazing, it was peaceful and private. Highly recommend!

This is the place to go for complete relaxation, with minimum amount of people nearby the excellent glamping pods are just amazing.

You can be totally off grid here whilst having all you need in the pods or a few miles drive away.

The tree are pubs nearby and Cromer is 30mins drive away sheringham an hour so what’s more to want,

The nearest beach is 15mins drive at the most and depending on the time of year lat oct - Jan you can see seals at horsey.

Have been to Dilham 5 times now and each time brings a different adventure, if you’re looking for a relaxed stay, with all the mod cons the book now.

Absolutely lovely place to relax & chill! we stayed in a couples glamping pod which had everything you need for a self catering break. Very clean & comfortable & great wood burning hot tub. We stayed on site as only there for 2 days and walked along the Dilham canal. Beautiful walk and plenty of wildlife including a very friendly pheasant!!
A place I would highly recommend & will definitely be visiting again.

What a superb find! We stayed in Moorhen pod which includes a double bed and a bunk bed tucked away behind the shower to make max use of the space. You'll need a short child for the top bunk mind. Our 13yo fitted into the bottom bunk no probs.

The pod had everything we needed. The range of kitchen utensils was great as was the cutlery. The crockery was really good quality and the fridge, microwave, 2 ring gas hob and storage cupboard were ample. No need to bring any pots or pans as that's all taken care of too.

There was plenty of towels too and there was plenty of hot water. The shower was great too.

The WiFi was a bit hit or miss but we expected that given we were in the middle of the countryside. Our own phone connectivity worked fine. We tethered the smart TV to our phone hot-spot to get BBC iPlayer, Netflix, etc ... We couldn't bear to miss Celebrity Traitors!

The hot tub was easy to use. A bit of a squeeze for 4 I think but we coped with just the three of us. And there's zero light polution so on a cloud free night you tilt your head back and gaze at the stars.

Looking further afield, the location is very handy for the Eastern beaches such as Horsey and Winterton. North Walsham is close with a Sainsbury's and Waitrose and Cromer and Norwich are both a half hour drive. We're National Trust members so we also visited Blickling Hall but you can also easily reach Felbrigg Hall.

If you are looking for a night off the cooking we went to The Rising Sun in Coltishall. We didn't book and got a table fairly easily (maybe we got lucky. The food was great with a large menu and the staff were super friendly.

The Dilham Hall team were very responsive to any questions we had. Can't fault them at all.

In summary, the pod was really high spec and value for money. We'll defo be back and would recommend to friends.

Me and my mum stayed at Dilham Hall Retreats with my 2 young boys.
It was so idyllic!
Perfect, quiet setting on the canal where we had plenty of open space.
My boys loved the space to play around and explore and they especially loved the hot tub and being able to ‘light’ the wood so it made it a hands on experience.
It’s a lovely location, with the broads 15 mins away and the coast also 15 mins.
The pod was so clean and had everything we needed to make it a comfortable and easy experience. All cooking appliances and utensils you’d need and clean linen and towels.
We all slept like logs as it was lovely and warm and peaceful as it has heating too.
We loved being able to sit by the fire outside at night and we cooked our hot dogs on it too before jumping in the hot tub under the stars.🌟 Just brilliant!
Will definitely be returning and have already recommended it to friends. ☺️

Everything good, the pod are very comfort, out of peak, it is so silent & peaceful .
The hot tub is great experience, canoe ride is fantastic too.

We stayed for 2 nights in Dragonfly (at Broad Fen), one of the couple’s pods, for our anniversary. The surroundings are very peaceful and seeing the free roaming wildlife really made the break for us! We saw a hare, a covey of 18 partridges, a muntjac, and a very charming Reeves pheasant, who is so tame and spent a long time with us one evening. We walked around the canal, and used the hot tub both evenings, which was wonderful, especially when the stars came out. The pod was well equipped, comfortable, and clean. The free mugs, key rings, and delicious Norfolk apple juice were lovely touches. We will be back again!

Just back from a weekend at Dilham Hall, we stayed in the Dragonfly pod (for couples). The accommodation was lovely, very clean, well thought out in a peaceful location. We used the hot tub on both evenings and enjoyed watching the muntjac and barn owls as we relaxed in the tub, and there was a very tame reeves pheasant that paid regular visits! Will definitely recommend and hope to visit again in the not too distant future 🙂

We had a wonderful time at Dilham Hall in Harvest Mouse. So peaceful and the accommodation was v well equipped - had everything we needed. The location gave us the tranquility we really needed! We’ll definitely come back. Thank you.

Have just returned from a lovely two night stay in Damselfly couples glamping pod for a birthday treat for my partner. First saw these glamping pods when Luke and Louise won the Tv programme Four in a bed and we just had to go and see for ourselves how good they were really were. We were definitely not disappointed, the pods have everything you need, are very spacious and very well equipped! The hot tubs are extremely relaxing and very quiet in the beautiful surrounding countryside with the local wild life..We would definitely return and highly recommend a visit.

Me and my partner spent 2 nights at the DragonFly couples pod, safe to say we had the most amazing, peaceful experience and we will definitely go back, we’ve recommended to all our friends and family! We loved it so so much and highly highly recommend!!

Just returned from a 3 night stay and was absolutely stunning. We stayed in “Heron”, spotlessly clean and fully equipped. We walked, paddle boarded and relaxed in the hot tub at the end of the day! Nice touch with the Norfolk cider, complementary Mug and Key ring . We will be back

We've just returned from a very relaxing three night stay in Harvest Mouse. Such an amazing set up! The pods have everything you could need and are immaculately clean. The bedding and towels are lovely too. Really nice touches such as the Norfolk apple juice in the pods. The views are amazing and couldn't beat sitting under the stars in the hot tub.
