Was hung up on

I tired to set up a new internet provider with Dodo, they use a very strange sales technique. You fill in your information but once you get to a spot it times out, which gives them reason to call. After two calls I explained I think I will go with someone else. The lady then hung up straight away. I am so glad I didn't sign up with you guys if that is how your customer service is. Wow! Also get in touch I can tell you the time and number I used when I called, as the message said it was being recorded so you may want to listen to your fantastic sales team.....

Awful customer care. Very ignorant

As a business owner myself I am usually in full force for ensuring great reviews are left when using anyone's service. Unfortunately this company has chosen to ignore me one I signed up after I asked to cancel due to the internet continuously failing. I asked to cancel and they assured me they could do something about it. I was given a day and time for them to come visit but after being home all day I did not receive a knock on the door nor a phonecall that day. This was over 3 weeks ago and after leaving messaged on my online account I have yet to receive a reply. I'm simply appalled at the day this has been dealt with. I am paying for something that is not working and nobody is willing to support this.

Canberra nbn Fibre to the premises terrible

I am in Canberra and have Fibre to the premises. My house is only 7 years old and has cat6 cable throughout. Despite this our internet is slow and unreliable. We were told that after we upgraded to 250 speed it will be fast. I have raised several tickets and spent a lot of time on the phone with dodo support. After all this our internet is still total garbage. We do speed tests regularly and the findings are terrible. They keep closing my tickets without addressing the issues.

Customer Service Horrible


The Dodo Call Centre does not adhere to ACC standards and struggles with English proficiency. There is no formal process in place for resolving queries effectively. While their prices are similar to other service providers, their sales and customer support are outsourced overseas, leading to a poor customer experience. If you contact them to resolve an issue, their credit team may block you instead. It’s better to avoid them altogether.

GOOD SERVICE WITH INCREASING COSTS

I started with Dodo, and it was a great experience initially. However, the prices began to increase soon after I subscribed to their services, and these adjustments were made without any notification. While Dodo does a fantastic job overall, a more consistent and transparent pricing strategy would likely help them retain customers for longer. I’ve used Dodo for electricity and internet, but I've had to leave two or three times due to these unexpected price hikes

Dodoo is pathetic. Their customer service department is unhelpful. You are on hold for over 20mins only to be told the wrong information.

Scammers

Dear customers, please check your direct debit account after cancelling your service. They continuously took money our of my account for six months after cancelling their services and when I called customer care, they said it's a system error and they can refund only a half of the amount they stole from my credit card. Glad that I recorded the call from the beginning and I said I would contact consumer affairs and file a case and then they got scared and agreed to pay me full amount. I had to again make 2 more calls as they didn't pay on time. Finally, I got it.

fabricating meter readings

I signed up for power at 86c a day line charge.. after 1 month they put it up to $1.56.. they were still signing new people up at 86c after mine had gone up.. so you get sabotaged.. got the run around on the ph.. so tried to pull out.. the final bill was 3 times larger than what i had used.. they kept threatining me with legal action. wont use them again. check your meter reading as they made up wrong figures.

Liar staffs for Dodo benefit

Internet was ok. But the service becomes more and more expensive. Therefore I have called to negociate. The staff was agreed to reduce $5 per month but nothing happen. Because the staff doesn't really do the work. And second time, I called to cancel the service, the staff doesnot do it again. I will have to chase them to cancel the service. I consider that the staffs are liar for Dodo benefit. Not recommend to anyone.

I have a current issue where Dodo are being deceitful about their billing practices. Contacted Dodo and in their arrogance, the manager I spoke to said, Weve been directed to push people off their contract discounts by inflating their prices artificially.

There was no clear communication on the significant price increase, and they continued to say they do not have a responsibility to provide clear pricing, that its my job as the consumer to check my bills.

Theyre disgusting and a complete conjob. They could not explain why theyve raised my price more than 40% on my billing, whilst theyre advertised price was 45% cheaper.

Do not use Dodo, if youre an existing customer, go over your bill with a fine tooth comb and lodge any discrepency with EWON.

Can not cancel a NO CONTRACT service

Sold our business and have been trying to cancel the account for more than 3 weeks. Disgusting stall tactics and trying to prevent cancellation on a NO CONTRACT SERVICE. I also cannot delete my payment details so will have to cancel my card and report to the ombudsman. So frustrating, it has been a worse experience than trying to cancel a dodgy gym membership.

I love them

I love them. I use them for home internet, and it's been great. I'm on the NBN50 plan, and I constantly get speeds of 52MBPS - which is AMAZING value! I even get forwarding and static IPs!

Dodo is a thief in business form. I did cancel my NBN services on date 15 Jan2024, spoken with couple customer services. Everyone says difference things with all excuses. At the end still taking my money from my credit card for the services I do not use as I have moved from that address. And the NBN internet is very poor performance. The big problem is customer services has difference knowledges of their jobs. When you talk with difference staffs, they will give you differences excuses. I am so sick to hear the excuses.
THIS IS SO MISSCONDUCT, BAD CONDUCT. MAKE ME SO ANGRY.

Customer service is terrible

Customer service is terrible. They do not answer the phones nor respond to online requests. I have tried for 2 days to call. I used three different numbers all of which DODO recommended. I waited 15 minutes on hold each time and no response.

DODO should be extinct like the bird. They'll now and then increase your daily charge, price per kw, and internet out of nowhere. They'll warn you, but by email, and if it is in your spam section, you'll find out when paying the bill. disappointed by the customer service, they barely reply to your request and, when dealing with them on the phone, will sometimes be really vague with answers

Hard to cancel the service

I have three times tried to cancel the service due to selling the house, but Dodo won't cancel-they want to transfer the service to another property or person. I've put 2 stars, because staff are following obvious company direction not to disconnect service and to make disconnection hard. Another thing others have said-(male) customer service agents-so rude, they talk down to you and don't listen, assume they must be from an overseas call centre where women are not of equal value in their culture. If that's not the case, then Dodo have a real gender culture problem to address.

Here is what Dodo sent me in relation to cancelling the service:

"We tried to call regarding your request but unable to reach you. We understand that moving home can be a stressful time, as such we would love to be show you how easy it is for us to set up your Dodo services at your new home. Please let us know of your availability and best contact number as we will need to speak to you to arrange a new account for you for at your new address. Alternatively, we can also transfer the service to another person for $1 if someone is willing to takeover. Let us know how you'd like to proceed. Our hours of operation are 9am – 6pm Monday - Friday AEDST. We look forward to hearing from you! Thanks The Dodo Team

completely unresponsive customer servce

i've been a dodo customer for a long time and have always been an apologist for them, but this month for some reason they've changed their email settings and i've been flooded with spam, while my own sent emails from my dodo address have been bouncing or spammed. i have tried to contact them at least a dozen times now and they say they'll respond, but they never do. presumably a case of the falling customer service standards in most cost-cutting companies these days, and i'll be switching ISP
