Dealing with my older sister & brother in law’s health and financial issues made me aware that my wife and myself needed to get our own house in order. We already had wills in place but no Power of Attorney’s, and having spotted an advert in a local “freebie” we contacted Dorset & Wight to make an appointment. This was duly kept on the correct day & time, with full details of prospective costs and time scales being provided. Following this presentation we both decided for Dorset & Wight to arrange our LPA’s and these were duly processed within the approximate time period previously agreed. Yes, LPA’s can be dealt with by making your own applications, but our advice would be to let someone as competent as Dorset & Wight deal with it, because any small error will delay your application and could result in the application being rejected and additional costs being incurred.

A very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable service from Nigel in our own home. He was very respectful of our wishes and guided us through the process with great care. There were 2 visits, the 1st to sort out all the details and the 2nd to get all the documents signed and witnessed in the right order. Communication was great all the way through. Although my will would be classed as a simple straightforward document, Nigel treated me with the respect of someone with a large and complicated document. Every step along the way was dealt with very professionally and nothing was too much trouble to explain any query I may have had. The one thing I very much appreciated was the speedy way he dealt with me via email if I had a query. I am hard of hearing so phone calls were out of the question. I knew after a few minutes into the making of the will I knew I was in good hands and I trusted his recommendations at every step of the procedure.
