Sneaky Rip-Off
As I usually pay the invoice online with a credit card, when I received
a "friendly reminder" invoice from DOXO I assumed they were your regular
subscription service.
I received a renewal notice for my Travel & Leisure subscription and paid my bill on my BofA credit card (just as I would have anyway).
Imagine my surprise this month to find that there were 2 "cash advance" charges on my credit card. I have never, ever, made a cash advance.
Not only was I charged $1.59 transaction fee and $0.19 interest, when I researched the DOXO invoice there was an additional $3.99 payment delivery fee by doxo. Why should I have to pay an additional $5.77 for paying by credit card as I have done for years with my T&L subscription?
There was not any mention on the payment page that I should expect any of these extra charges OR that I was signing up for "membership".
Most consumers would not check their credit card for the upcharge of $5.77since it's such a small amount; I would never have checked except
for the cash advance notices on my credit card.
What a sneaky rip-off.

Other than the MGC bill showing I don't owe anything but doxo charges/pays my bill, I really do like the service. I have now added my electric, water, and sanitary bill to the service.

Doxo may be a scam, I'm thinking
Doxo charged me 8.23 for a 200.00 payment on my credit card. It was put in as a cash advance, which no one on earth would have anticipated, thus I was charge 16.00 in advance fees. Trust pilot and the internet reviews do not seem to capture the same picture of this company. I think they are a scam operation.
