I would not recommend Dr Khalil as doesn't seem to have confidence in himself

I would not recommend Dr Khalil. Last year I was due to have a procedure, on the day of the procedure, it became apparent that due to the Pre-op not being undertaken properly as there was no management plan in place for prescribed medications, something which is in the quotation and in the contract that you pay for and as such I was in excruciating pain for over 5 hours waiting for my procedure only for the surgeon, Dr Khalil to cancel the procedure as I had raised concerns as to why no plan was in place. I was advised by the nurses at Pall Mall that as there was no Pre-op management plan in place for pain management before surgery, I would not be able to have any pain relief for my chronic pain for the time I was waiting for the Surgery to be undertaken, at this time it was approx 3 hours to my surgery and 5 hours in pain. I advised I was upset at this as I could have taken pain relief before attending the hospital if i had known however the communication from Pall Mall for the Pre-op management plan had been disregard. The nurse recommended that I re-arrange the surgery due to my chronic pain. I said I would be happy to do this, the nurse left the room and then returned to advise that, despite Pall Mall not putting in place any Pre-op medication plan which is confirmed would be done in their Pre-op booklet, if I wished to re-arrange Pall Mall would charge me a 50% re-arrangement fee (£3997.50). How disgusting given that it was Pall Mall who had breached their contract and not provided the service that they promised in their quotation and the whole point of the Pre-op appointment. Following this, there were numerous calls with a Pall Mall representative, myself and also Dr Khalil to whom Pall Mall and myself confirmed the procedure should proceed as I did not wish to re-arrange for a cost of £3997.50 for something that clearly was not my fault and it was in fact Pall Mall who had failed in their duty to provided the service they had quoted me for. Following one call however, Dr Khalil requested a private call with the Pall Mall representative to discuss matters without my attendance, clearly this is very suspicious. Following this call Dr Khalil returned to my room to advise that procedure was not going ahead. I asked Dr Khalil why the procedure was not going ahead as Pall Mall had requested it proceed as did I. Dr Khalil's response was "it just isn't". No further information than that. I advised Dr Khalil that before I left the building, I required an email or letter to confirm it was Dr Khalil's decision not to proceed so that a full refund would be made to me as Pall Mall had already advised I would lose £3997.50 to re-arrange if I wished which had raised a red flag bearing in mind it was Pall Mall who had not provided the Pre-op service I had paid for. He left my room advising he would get this. After 15 minutes, he did not return. Again very suspicious, by this time it was clear there was some sort of problem with Dr Khalil and so, I placed my phone on video recording and I went to the nurse station room wherein I noticed Dr Khalil with his backpack on attempting to leave the building, I called to Dr Khalil and asked where my email or letter was as I was waiting to leave, he replied saying they will send one. I asked him if Pall Mall had been made aware it was Dr Khalil who did not wish to proceed and he replied "yes". This is obviously fully recorded and ironically at no time has Pall Mall requested to see this footage. I returned to my room where the nurse provided me with pain medication for which I had been overdue for a number of hours and in chronic pain. You will note that in the terms and conditions with Pall Mall it clearly states that should the surgeon cancel the surgery on the day, a full refund will be made. Well what it doesn't tell you is this clause will be manipulated to fit Pall Mall's narrative. Upon my request for a full refund the following day and after protracted conversations, Pall Mall advised that the reason Dr Khalil had cancelled the procedure was my own fault, yes honestly, my fault, due to myself feeling pressured to undertake the surgery as otherwise I would lose £3997.50. What was not mentioned is the fact that Myself and the Pall Mall representative had on numerous occasions advised that the procedure should continue and so this argument was void. Pall Mall offered 50% refund. I requested the records, Dr Khalil wrote was worried about legal issues, why if youre good. I refused 50%, went through all complaint procedures, then Clinivi, who Pall Mall say are independent but are not as Pall Mall pay them for advice, guess what... found 50% refund appropriate so now awaiting solicitors details to issue court proceedings against Pall Mall. If anyone requires copies of any documents for evidence happy to provide. But clearly Dr Khalil does not have confidence in himself.
