My daughter ordered a champaign colored dress and it came in two colors. She disliked it immediately. The website showed the dress in one solid color. The back of the dress was sewn incorrectly because the center seam did not match-up to show a diagonal drape across the back. Back and lower right side was sagging noticeably. Back and left upper side the fabric was frayed. She has been given the run around by 4 different people 4 different times

I left a previous review, which has now been removed after months, along with many others--mostly negative-- that had been here. I bought a prom dress for my daughter back in April. It was terrible. It had fabric bunched up and sewn into the seams, uneven hems, and came late. As with everyone else who's had a complaint, they gave me the run around for days, claiming the dress was fine, that I could fix it "in the local," and offered me 10 percent off my "next purchase." They do NOT stand behind their "satisfaction" guarantee. They try to delay until it's too late to dispute the charge. I got my money back by making a fraud complaint with Paypal and disputing the charge to my credit card through Paypal. Don't let them rip you off--keep yelling until someone listens. This company is a total scam.

UNLESS YOU ARE A GAMBLER AND HAVE MONEY TO THROW AWAY, DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SITE. My dress came way too small even though my measurements matched their size chart almost exactly. Arugued with dressale for weeks that they sent a dress that was too small (even sent pictures of the dress measurements with a tape measure). Finally, had a professional seamstress who confirmed that their measurements were correct HOWEVER, they lined the dress with a no-stretch lining making the dress way too small. When I contacted dressale AGAIN, they basically told me I was out the $185 but would remake the dress for a 10% discount! Doing the math, that would make the dress over $325(with NO GUARANTEE that the new one would fit!)! THEIR PRICES ARE CHEAP BECAUSE THEIR SIZES ARE WRONG! You will end up with a dress that is useless unless you order TWO sizes bigger! (BE CAREFUL--ONE REVIEW SAID HER DRESS WAS TOO BIG!!!) I would NOT recommend this site to anyone unless you are a gambler and have money to throw away!

I ordered a dress for my son's wedding. I paid extra for the custom sizing. I watched the tutorial on how to measure and provided accurate measurements. I CAN'T GET THE DRESS ON! I gave them a 42 inch hip measurement. I very carefully measured the dress at the hip and it measures 40 3/4 and the fabric has absolutely no give. The silhouette of the dress is very different then the dress as pictured on the website. And besides that there are several small blobs of what appears to be dried glue on the front of the dress and well as some pulls in the tulle ans many stray threads, one of which is right on the bust between the layers of satin and tulle and can' be accessed to be removed. I sent photos to Dressale of the hip measurement and all the other problems. Here is the response I received:

Since all the pictures shown on our website are for reference and the dresses are custom made, they're 90% similar to the pictures instead of 100%. And due to the effect of light as well as screen display, it's inevitable to have some deviation.Hope that you can understand .

About the hips (from your photos): 20.25+20.75=41 inches .

Since all the dresses are made by hand, there is certainly will be difference. When it refer to size difference, it's common to have +1 inch or -1 inch difference. Actually this difference won't effect much when customers trying to wear them.

About the glue:can you try to alter it in the local or you can deal with it in the local .It'll be easy and fast .we will make compensation for that ."

This answer is so ridiculous it's funny. Ultimately they offered me a discount on my next purchase! Even more ridiculous. I tried to open a dispute with Paypal but was told that the don't do disputes on custom items. I have opened a dispute with Discover Card and they have been very helpful. It's not just the money though. It's disappointment, aggravation and the unbelievable way they tried to justify the bad product they provided.

Don't waste you money!

Not sure how I got so lucky. Ordered my wedding dress march 28th and got it yesterday April 18th. Was so scared after I bought it after reading reviews. I ordered shoes too. Both were just like picture, correct sizes. I got custom sized dress 37 27 37 and it was perfect. You can tell it's not perfect high quality but it is beautiful I am so happy. I am a real person this is a real review. I may have gotten lucky but I am so happy I got my dress and shoes from here now. Not sure if I would recommend after reading the reviews but my dress and shoes are perfect!

Please do not waste your money. This has been the worst experience I have ever had with shopping online. I picked out my wedding dress and decided I would give this company a chance. I was very specific how I measured watching the tutorials to make sure I measured just like I was supposed to. Then I had a seamstress measure me as well. I sent the measurements in and the dress is over 4 inches too big and it is too short. I sent an email to the company stating this and they asked for pictures. With my seamstress help, we took the dress and showed using a tape the differences in the measurements I sent and the measurements the dress was made to. I have sent over 15 pictures now and all I am getting is that we allow for +/- 1 inch. Well that is great if it is just one place but when you have a dress and it is 1 inch too big here and then 1.5 inches too big there and then 3 inches too short you realize this has to be the wrong dress. They have given me excuse after excuse, even telling me to use 2-3 inches for "boobs affect" which I am still trying to figure out what they are talking about. Not once have they offered for me to send it back and them tailor it, not once have they said sorry we measured wrong however I will get a discount on the next dress I purchase there. NO THANK YOU! I will never purchase anything from this company ever again. The experience has been horrible and not what any bride wants to go thru. Please do not waste your money by shopping thru them. It is cheap for a reason, both quality and customer service. It is unfortunate but I learned the hard way.

The ONLY reason I went with this company is because they had a dress I could not find anywhere else. I ordered the dress, they called for measurements and gave me a date of delivery, which is the only thing about them that actually was right. But it goes to hell from there.

It arrived in a small bag, wrinkled to the hilt, it was the wrong color and looked NOTHING like the pictures on the website. They did not extend the sleeves as I asked, nor did they add the lace up back like I asked, after I was assured would be no problem. There was suppose to the stretch satin on the bodice, but there was absolutely not a bit of stretch, and the organza was heavy instead of being light and airy like the pictures indicated, and the sewing looked like a 5-year old made it. Terrible! I would not be caught dead I that dress and it is in NO WAY the dress in the pictures. What they seem to be doing is taking pictures from other bridal shops and making their version of the dresses...only doing it terribly.

They are not good with customer service either. Everyone passes the buck and is shocked that you are unhappy. They actually expect me to send them pictures to provide evidence of what is wrong for their "manufacturers". They messed up the order and expect me to tell them what they did wrong. They have absolutely no professionalism, no quality control, no care or concern for their customers satisfaction, and absolutely no intention of making it right.

If you are looking for a wedding dress, don't let DresSale.com ruin your wedding day, go to a reputable, local company, where you can actually see what you are buying. You will spend a lot less money and experience a lot less stress.

On March 11th. I ordered a prom dress for my daughter @ DeesSale, $210, talked to the seamstress, she asked my daughters height and the height of her heels. My daughter is 5'11", and to be safe I told the 4" heels. I thought everything would be fine. Until March 31st, when I received the package. It was small, opened it up and I knew right away, that it wasn't right. #1, it wasn't like the picture. #2, it wasn't long enough. Then I submitted a ticket, of my complaints..#1, it didn't look like the dress I ordered, sheer bottom. Question them on that, this would be lie #1, they told me it was my computer screen, or the lightening, and that if I wanted it to look like the picture it would have cost more. Mind you, on the website said nothing about that, believe me, I checked, NOWHERE. They told me to measure the dress, I did and it was only 56" long, my daughter is 5'11", 71 inches long They asked me to measure it again, in a different way, came out again 56". Then they sent me a email, and told me the LENGHT they had was 71.05". Wow I got them now, I thought. Wrong. I had to measure it again, still, 56".. Then I sent the the size chart, the size that I ordered on the chart, should have been 65". It is 9" off by the size chart. Lie # 2, then I get another email, they said it should be 65" long. If only it was, but it is not... Yesterday April 8th, it has been over week now, I get a email, stating, please keep the dress because the seamstress spent a lot on time and money on it, which in laughable, looked like a 5 year old made it, and if I keep the dress they would give me $20 off my next order. Like I would EVER order from them again!!!! You could only imagine how it looks on her, coming to her shin bone, about 9" to short.. Prom is April 12th, I had to go out and buy her another Prom dress. They turned her DREAM PROM, into a Carrie like NIGHTMARE..

This place is quite possibly the worst site run company I have ever dealt with.

I was looking for an inexpensive, simple dress for our beach wedding in the beginning of May. I came across dressales's website on a google search and found this simply yet pretty dress, reasonably priced. I had to get it quick because in a few hours, it wouldn't be on sale anymore (haha.. it's still on sale for the same price, by the way..scam #1). I went and ordered one.. paid the extra $20.00 for custom sizing and another $25.00 for better than average customer service. I received a call right after I placed my order.. and struggled to understand the person on the other end.. after several back and forths to confirm everything, we parted ways and I was told I'll have my dress on March 31st.

That is the only thing that went as planned...the dress was here on March 31st... in a sad little plastic bag... wrinkled so badly it'll need dry cleaning. On further inspection.. omg.. this thing looked like it could've been sewn by a 5 year old! Uneven hems, unfinished edges along the front pleats, fabric folded into a finishing seam, fraying edges, strings everywhere, and uneven pleats.. I was like ok.. it'll take some doing, but maybe I can fix it.. then I tried it on. It's like sucked onto my hips and my shoulders are popping out of the stupid thing.. really??! Measured it... I told them to make the hips 45.5 inches, it measures on the back end @ 22 inches.. 22 + 22 does not equal 45.5! I'm sorry.. and if if was @ exactly 45.5 inches.. it would still be wrong because there's no tolerance for a person to wear it.

I contacted Dressale and told them the problem and asked what do I do to get this dress back to them and get my money back... let the marathon of the run around begin.. they want pictures and 3 days to decide IF they're going to refund me my money.. I sent them pictures in a PDF format showing them the issues in each picture and a description what they were supposed to be looking at.. evidently their customer service team is not only insanely unprofessional.. (I think the same kid making the dress is the same kid servicing their customer service desk), they are rude as well! They also can't figure out how to open a PDF file.. or say they can't.. so they ask for pictures again. I replied back that the PDF has a whole bunch of pictures in it, they then tell me to email it to this other email address. Completely fed up and needing my money refunded soon so I can replace the dress, I have now escalated the claim with Paypal. I'm awaiting the decision as I type.

If you're a bride on a budget.. don't be lured in by the prices.. it's going to cost you a lot more in the end. Go to some place reputable like David's bridal or find something at a little mall boutique store. I wish I had...This whole experience has been a total nightmare.

I ordered two Tiffany Style light shades and paid for them in early 2014. Then two weeks later they wrote me asking that I pay more money for the items as they would lose money. I wrote back to them that they had already been paid for an no I would not pay anymore for the two items. Never heard anymore form them. Then about three weeks later without any more correspondence a credit showed on my charge account. So I never got the lights. I paid extra for expedited shipping but was told items would ship in one month.
I went to their website and wrote a bad review but they removed the review.

thought I'd be smart and ordered 1 dress, arrived on time, sewn well. paid extra for personal measurements. I was worried about their sizing. showed my dress maker, she agreed alol good, lace probably looks a bit cheap, but all ok.
then ordered a more expensive dress, chiffon overlay, stupid thing to do. It has pin holes where it's obviously been tacked to hold pleats in place, stitching on neck looks like a kindergarten child has done it. I don't presume to be able to sew, but even I couldn't do as bad a job. there is puckering on seams, then when you think it couldn't get worse it has exposed, not over locked edges, literally pieces of material that shouldn't be. not sure what or where they've come from or supposed to go,
but don't worry, customer service says the pin holes should be expected when hand sewn and no one will notice, rest looks ok they think, then they decided I could get a local tailor to fix, much cheaper for me!! my dress maker was mortified and said no one could fix all the problems if any. I have now sent it back after refusing to accept a discount on my next order!! not in my lifetime.
by the way this is the first posting I have ever done.
I can't believe I didn't do my homework and look for reviews.

I received my dress and it doesn't look anything like the picture. I took it to a seamstress
and she stated the front panel is placed wrong and the sides where it is to flow away from the body is cut to low so it does fall soft. The lace is not very structured for the trim and falls over. And they took 3 months and won't refund. I am paying another $180 to remake the dress. I wish I could upload the picture of the advertised dress and what I received.

I order a dress - and shortly after they called to check the measurements. I gave them the measurements I had already given on the order and then double checked the delivery time. I paid for Expedited Shipping because I ordered the dress for a Gala Charity event. They told me I would have the dress by 21st February. I didn't think any more about it until I sent an email to check that the dress would be ready. They told me on LiveChat that it would be ready and by email too. I ordered shoes a week later and asked them to ship them with the dress as they were for the same event. Emails telling me it was a holiday and nobody was in the factory and so shoes would not be ready and would I accept a March 2nd delivery if they gave me a gift to go with them. I accepted that since at that point I had no idea of the kind of company I was dealing with. On Thursday 20th February two days before the event I spoke to 'Pency' on LiveChat who assured me that the dress had been shipped (even though it still said 'processing' on the account on their webpage). She said that the shipping people don't usually give them a tracking number until 2-3 days later....I said 'But the dress should be here by then!!!!' Her response was 'don't worry dear your dress will be there'.

It wasn't. It simply didn't arrive. I contacted them by email to tell them I didn't want the dress since they hadn't sent it in time and they had promised they would. I also spoke to them online. I got email responses telling me the dress was ready and it was unfair of me not to take it when they had worked 'day and night' to get it ready. I said I just wanted a refund. They kept telling me they would report my case to a manager. This went on for a week. I spoke online and again this 'Pency' person told me the dress had shipped. It hadn't and in any case I simply didn't and don't want the dress now. No dress and no refund. I've contacted PayPal and it's in their hands.

Second case was the shoe order. Also did not arrive....also 'report to the manager' and still no news.

I am so shocked that this company hasn't been shut down. Can't anyone do something about the amount of bad reports it's getting? I am pretty sure that all the reviews that are good are written by their own people or at the very least people they pay to say something good. You can tell because the names are Western names but the review is written in stilted English.

I hope very much that these people are taken to task for their awful business. People ordering wedding dresses and prom dresses - such important events and these people are ruining them.

What can I say? Dress arrived with beading missing, the hook missing from the hook and eye, stitching coming undone, the decorative beading that was supposed to be under the bust stretched from bust to waist, making the rest of the dress hang dreadfully. The back was supposed to be scoop back down to the waist but what I got was a straight back at bust level. it didn't fit - very badly sized and bore no resemblance to the "made to measure" measurements I'd given them. It was dirty when it arrived. The material was cheap so instead of draping my figure with rolling pleats it fell in a rather awkward A line.

I told them of the quality issues and the fact the dress was actually substantially different to the one in the picture and they responded with "we think it looks good!". It does not look good. Now pursuing a chargeback through the bank to get my money back as they are refusing to refund. I'd be better off getting something from Shanton.

I ordered 2 dresses in IDENTICAL size. One dress arrived in completely wrong colour, but at least correct size. Second dress is 2 sizes too small in the Bust area with broken zipper, horrible embroidery, completely different colour and design to the original. Dressale refuse to aknowledge any of the faults, nor to pay the full refund as clearly stated in their return policy for the above mentioned faults. The company is a FRAUD! Every positive comment you see on any review site is either posted by themselves, or by someone they paid to post. Professional dressmaker inspected both dresses and confirmed how UNPROFESSIONAL and totally unacceptable they both were, she was stunned how anyone can pass something like that as quality. I would NEVER EVER bought anything if I read all the negative reviews out there BEFORE I placed my order. Every word people say how Dressale treat customers and refuse to refund money for a total rubbish products is complete truth. I received the same set of rubbish emails in response to loads of pictures and video evidence. More than enough proof was supplied yet Dressale continue to deny that the size is incorrect and cover up with "hand made" approach for all other faults. The Company acts under false advertising, breach of copyright and Fair Trade!

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS SITE!!! I ordered a wedding dress from them. When it arrived it was a complete mess. The embroidered deign was off center, the sheer back was twisted so it wouldn't lay flat. The hem was uneven and not even sewn in spots. There were threads hanging everywhere. The "built in bra" was about 12 inches to high. They would not do anything to make it right and they refused to refund. I was a few weeks from my wedding with no dress. I really don't recommend anyone order from them.
