This is ridiculous I top up £50 on my gas in the morning November 1 , 2025 and today is the 3rd of November and it’s down to £19 already I’m not even home and it’s not like the heat is running right through
I was forced to have E gas and…
I was forced to have E gas and electricity due to previous tenant, first was contact centre, I could not understand the call operator.
Second was tariffs, tariff prices not explained and the amount of details needed personal and data based including meter readings and tenancy contract was excessive.
Third was attitude, once I explained that I was planning to leave and join British gas, the operators attitude changed
My flat is a studio flat, 1 bedroom/lounge, 1 very small bathroom, 1 kitchen and hall.
4 radiators.
At the time of this review I have been in this flat for 17 days and it has cost me £60, at this rate it would cost me £120 a month this is to much for a studio flat. I am on a prepay meter and on Sunday afternoon around 2pm my gas ran out, there was nowhere open to top up so I had to do without gas, I work and was not able to top up on Monday as I finished work at 5pm so again I had to do without gas for a second day.
I have now joined British gas which it is costing me £45 a month for my gas.
E gas and electricity is not a company that anyone should join and someone should investigate this company's integrity and pricing system.

Topping up is easy But that's if the site is running and when it is takes days to update by that time it does the credit has gone down so much, my connection with meters non existent. I pitty people who's meter is so low down to manually put the code in cause the app isnt working.

Great company
Had an issue with the customer service rep when I called up so I made a 1 star review explaining the issue , next day I had a call from Karl about the issue i raised , he was very helpful in resolving the issue . I have been a customer for 8 years and I have only ever had 2 issues with their customer service and both times I have had a call back the next day to resolve the problem.
