Enterprise ruined our entire holidays.

We planned our summer holydays in Ireland. We booked a car with Entreprise Dublin Airport from Monday 1 August until Friday 5 August. The Entreprise employee told us everything was in place and ok with the car.
Monday 1 August
. 3pm- accident resulting in one flat tyre and the other one with a large bulge on it.
. 4:50pm- recovery vehicle tow us to Kwik Fit in Belfast. The front tyre is replaced, but not the rear one because there was no locking nut key in the car. Enterprise tells us that that at 8pm we would be towed to Belfast International airport where we would be given another car. We had to wait outside at the parking of Kwik Fit, with no food or access to WC for almost 3 hours.
. 8:50pm- A recovery van arrived, but it’s not a tow truck and the employee wasn’t informed about our situation. The only solution was to drive very slowly.
. 9.40pm- At Enterprise Belfast International Airport, they told us that they couldn’t give us a new car.
. 11pm- even with the tyre on those conditions putting us at risk, we drove to Larne to our hotel.
Tuesday 2 August
. 10:30am- We had to make several phone to know at what time the assistance vehicle would arrive to change the tyre.
.11am- check out from the hotel room and waiting with our luggage at the hotel lobby for the car assistance.
. 12:40pm- we received a call telling us that they couldn’t do the job because they couldn’t charge Enterprise Dublin Airport.
. 1:40pm- the Kiwk Fit Mobile van arrived, but the technician also wasn’t informed about the missing locking nut key. Because of that he couldn’t do anything.
. 4.12pm- We are informed that a tow truck will come to pick us up and takes back again to Enterprise Belfast International Airport to get a new car.
. 5:50pm- The tow truck from Agnew Company arrived and took us to Enterprise Belfast International Airport.
. 6:45pm- We arrive at Enterprise Belfast International Airport, where we are given a new car.
20:30pm- We arrive at our previously booked hotel, in Bushmills
Enterprise Rent-a-Car Customer Service failure
. Enterprise Rent-a-Car failed when gave us a car without the locking nut key in it.
. Enterprise Rent-a-Car failed to solve our problem in an acceptable time frame. The problem lasted from 3:15pm Monday 1 August when it was first reported until 6:45pm Tuesday 2 August when we were given a new car.
. Enterprise Rent-a-Car failed completely at customer service:
a) No one took proper care of our problem up until 1:03pm Tuesday 2 August.
b) During the first day (Monday 1 August) we had to speak several time to different people, always being forced to repeat all the details of the situation.
c) At the end of an exhausting and extremely stressful day (Monday 1 August) one of your employees yelled at us and treated us with disrespect (see above). You must keep record of all my calls from my phone number. I have the record of all the calls made to and from your numbers.
d) Enterprise Rent-a-Car deceived us in many ways:
a. On the first day (Monday 1 August) you told us that we would have a replacement car at Enterprise Belfast International Airport, but when we got there we didn’t.
b. On the second day (Tuesday 2 August) we had to call you and repeat the details of the problem all over again, and still the assistance van arrived with no locking nut key.
c. Even then, from this call on we had to wait 7 hours in a hotel lobby for a solution to a problem that you were informed about many times during the previous day.
d. Enterprise Rent-a-Car is a company that practises misleading advertising. We chose you because of price and also based on your customer service allegations.
In short, we paid for a service that wasn’t provided from a company that doesn’t comply to what it sells and advertises.
Consequences to our holiday plan
. Two of our five holiday days were spent waiting for your help or going from one place to another mislead by you.
. The plans that we had for these two first days were the main reason why we decided to do this trip (Giant Causeway Coastal Route).
. Due to this car problem that Enterprise Rent-a-Car didn’t solve in an acceptable time frame, we weren’t able to do what we had planned for these two first days. Nonetheless we tried to change our hotel bookings in order to see if it was still possible to do what we had planned during the next days. But it wasn’t possible.
. We were exhausted and extremely stressed for the rest of our holidays due to this situation. Furthermore we are still spending a considerable amount of time of our holidays addressing this situation (getting information on Irish and European customer service legislation, writing complaint, talking to Enterprise Rent-a-Car Dublin on the last day for a resolution).
. In short, we had only one proper day of holiday.
Reparation
. We demand a full holiday refund:
a) Aeroplane tickets
b) Hotels
c) Rental car (full petrol tank and full coverage)
d) Phone calls made to solve this problem
e) Meals
. We demand a compensation for health and psychological damages (stress)
We are prepared, resolved and determined to take this case to its last resort.

On the make.

Well I have just had £82.00 filched from my account from this outfit who are very enterprising when it comes to making money from another company's customers. We spoke to our brake down company when we had a car failure and this was company we had to use. First they dropped the car off with no preamble - the people spoke very little English code for cheap workers. A call to the local Enterprise office revealed we were covered by the AA though not this was an extra charge. We had to call the AA out and got charged by Enterprise for doing so. Anyway staying in a holiday cottage we got a call from them to give Enterprise a ring. Why bother when they have the card details and just took the money anyway. It really is a crime giving card details. It really is a licence for the company you give them to to take money at will.

By the way Enterprise has the dubious claim to be: "Always looking for someone to enter our management training programme".

Bad management and poor customer service

We booked our car through Rentalcars.com with Alamo, service being provided by Enterprise Barcelona Sants Train Station. We returned the car on time, without any damage and the staff member who attended us at the drop off told us everything was fine and our deposit would be returned to us in a couple of days. However, a couple of days later only a part of the deposit was credited back to our credit card. We tried to reach the Entrerprise office several times by phone during working hours but noone picked up. Luckily we could still pass by the office in person and try to solve the issue. After some waiting we were finally attended by a staff member who could have a look at our issue. It turned out that there had been some mistake and therefore we didn't get all the money back. The staff member then sent an internal email asking to return the rest of the deposit to us which eventually happened a few days later. Luckily. However, throughout all this experience we haven't heard a single word of apology for all the inconvenience caused by a mistake made by someone in Enterprise. Even though it was not the fault of the particular staff member who was attending us, it is still polite to apologize. Not to mention the fact that we were not able to solve this issue by phone with them but had to come in person. This is just not how a customer should be treated by a serious company.

Unfair billing

They practically stole my money. I returned a car less than 24 hours after renting in the same condition as I took it, handed the keys to one employee who said my buddy and I are good to go, and that the keys will go into their dropbox. Their website says even after hours, if keys are placed in the dropbox, you don't get overcharged. But they charged me more than twice the amount of the rent and wouldn't refund all my money. I will never rent from them again and neither will I recommend them to anyone I love

Harassed at Melbourne Airport by staff named Kate

We had a HORRENDOUS experience at Melbourne airport on March 26, 2016 evening – absolutely harassed by a staff named KATE at the Enterprise/ Redspot counter. We expect an apology and that the staff be recommended some basic manners and customer service.
We had fully paid car booking with enterprise through rentalcars at 6:30pm, they didn’t have our car, instead they ‘demanded’ we either downgrade to a smaller vehicle (which wudnt fit our luggage!) or wait till their next expected car return at 9pm! We were travelling with an infant baby, they didn’t even have a waiting area, and we were stranded out in the open with a baby and luggage in the CHILLY Melbourne evening!
They wouldn’t even give us cab fare to get to our hotel, refused all responsibility of the rental saying its booked thru rentalcars (what?! Isn’t rentalcars representing them!). On top of all this Kate, along with her colleague Jessica, were absolutely RUDE, apathetic to our situation. We were on the verge of calling in the POLICE – they harassed us so much! When another car BY CHANCE came in at 8pm (1.5 HOURS LATE), and we told them their customer service sucked, they THREATENED us that either u take what u have ‘quietly without complaint’ or they’ll CANCEL the booking! After making us wait so long and knowing fully well how much trouble that wud mean for us with a baby! Basically cornered us. We felt HARASSED in a foreign country.

AVOID!!

Such a disappointment

I had used Enterprise shortly prior to this last time as my car was being repaired. When I rented the car, it was known that my insurance company would be paying for the rental (as they had previously) and how long I was to have the car was also known. Several days after the car rental, I started receiving phone calls starting 8:30 in the morning from different people at the car rental place wanting to know why I had not brought the car back, that I owed money, etc. After THINKING I had the matter straightened out, I received 3 more phone calls and a message on my voice mail stating I was 2 days overdue returning the car and I owed money. The garage that fixed my car was very upset too and told them it was poor management. They are the only car rental place in town or I would certainly go elsewhere.

excellent service à l'aéroport de Béziers Cap d'Agde

tout a bien fonctionné, j'ai même eu droit à un surclassement gratuit, le personnel est super agréable et j'ai pu rendre ma voiture sans frais à l'aéroport de Montpellier .... super et merci à vous ....

ceci a faisait suite à des ennuis la veille avec Hertz aéroport de Montpellier qui refusait ma carte de crédit disant à tort que c'était une carte de débit !!! Enterprise a bien vu que c'était une carte de crédit ...

BAD COMPANY! BEWARE!

Rented car in Denver that had hail damage from day before. Returned car and they charged my credit card $3k for hail damage. Good thing I recorded the conversation I had when I picked up the car. Took 3 months and an attorney to get Wells Fargo to remove Enterprise's SCAM charge from my credit card.

Affiliated with Locauto

I have rented cars from Enterprise and had a good experience. Unfortunately they are affiliated with Locauto Italy who charged me 850 for a mark which would polish out easily. I complained to Enterprise hoping they would be reputable enough to get my money back, however they sided with Locauto.

Excellent service in Manchester

I rented a car for 24 hours at the Enterprise office in central Manchester, UK. The staff were helpful, serviceminded, professional, friendly and (dare I say) even charming and funny. Everything worked smoothly, the car was in excellent condition, and the price was good.

günstige Preise und oft schlechter Service

Ich bezahle lieber etwas mehr und habe dann keinen Ärger.
Berufsbedingt benötige ich von Zeit zu Zeit einen Mietwagen und in 4 von 6 Fällen gab es bei Enterprise ein Problem oder das Auto war ohne Ankündigung dermaßen verdreckt...ungern gehe ich wieder zu Enterprise.

Zu empfehlen sind sie nur bei Umzügen. Günstige Transporter!

Banditter og svindlere hele vejen igennem!

Onsdag d. 8. juli leverede jeg min udlejningsbil tilbage til Enterprise Rent-A-Car i Nice lufthavn (Vouchernummer EU9162257-1), og får at vide at jeg har lavet en skade på bilen. DET HAR JEG IKKE! Skaden bestod i ridser under kofangeren foran, som man skulle godt ned i knæ og ind og mærke med hånden for at opdage.

Da jeg ankom til udlejningsstedet lørdag d. 27/6 for at hente min bil, var det den berømte ugentlige "skifte dag", og der var mange mennesker og travlt over alt. De ansatte drønede rundt i stor hast for at få kunderne ekspederet hurtigst muligt, og mit tjek af bilen sammen med en ung mand ved navn Adrien gik derfor også hurtigt.

Da jeg ikke er vant til at leje biler, var jeg ikke klar over hvor katastrofalt det kunne ende for mig, at jeg ikke selv var nede på knæ i min kjole og mærke med hænderne hele vejen rundt inde under bilen. Jeg havde fuld tillid til at den unge mand, som i al hast gik rundt om bilen og påpegede skrammer og ridser hist og her (der var en del), gjorde hans arbejde ordentligt. Dette hastværk og mangelfulde/overfladiske gennemsyn kan nu komme til at koste mig op til 1.200 Euros – pengene er forøvrigt allerede hævet på min konto - fordi den unge mand ikke på noget tidspunkt var nede i knæ eller inde under bilen for at mærke efter ridser. Havde han været det, ville ridserne under kofangeren foran være blevet opdaget.

Da jeg kommer tilbage for at aflevere bilen i Nice lufthavn onsdag aften d.8/7 var gennemgangen af bilen en helt anden. Der var nu 2 personer til at tjekke bilen efter, og nu var man både helt nede i knæ, og der blev mærket efter med hænderne hele vejen rundt under bilen. Det tog dem ikke mange sekunder at finde ridserne, og herefter få mig ned i knæ og mærke efter med hånden for at erkende at der var "sket en skade".

Jeg blev temmelig chokeret over hvad der herefter skete, for jeg vidste jo at jeg IKKE havde lavet nogen skrammer. For at kunne komme videre over og nå mit fly hjem, skulle jeg først underskrive et papir hvorpå der stod at JEG havde lavet skaden under kofangeren. Jeg spurgte om jeg kunne tale med en overordnet - det kunne jeg ikke. Jeg spurgte om jeg kunne se bilen/skaden igen (så jeg kunne tage nogle billeder) - det kunne jeg ikke, da bilen allerede var kørt i garage, som de sagde. Samtidig beholdte de den røde kopi af biltjekket som jeg fik udleveret da jeg d.27/6 hentede bilen. Alt gik meget hurtigt, og de gjorde det helt tydeligt for mig, at jeg var irriterende og at de ikke havde i sinde at hjælpe mig på nogen måde. Jeg skulle bare gøre som de sagde, og så komme afsted. De gav mig et papir med en fransk e-mailadresse, og sagde, at hvis jeg ville klage så kunne jeg gøre det her.

Jeg stiller nu mig selv en masse spørgsmål:

"Hvor mange andre har været ude for problemer med Enterprise Rent-A-Car, i stil med det jeg har"?

"Hvorfor var alle de skrammer der allerede var på bilen ikke lavet da jeg får bilen udleveret"?

"Hvor mange andre er blevet charged for lige præcis den skade på bilen, som de nu vil have mig til at betale for"?

"Og hvem bestemmer prisen på skaden"?

I et brev jeg har modtaget fra Paris i dag med posten står der (på engelsk), at der kan gå helt op til 3 måneder før det endelige regnings beløb foreligger? Hvorfor skal det tage så lang tid? Og efter hvad jeg kan forstå på forskellige kommentarer på Enterprise Rent-A-Car´s facebookside, så er der personer der endda ikke engang efter 3 måneder, endnu hverken har fået regning eller penge tilbage??

Jeg HVERKEN KAN ELLER VIL betale for en skade som jeg ikke selv har forvoldt. Jeg havde ikke købt nogen tillægsforsikring til billejen, og jeg har heller ikke nogen privat forsikring der kan gå ind og dække, så alt hvad firmaet her finder på at jeg skal betale, vil blive af min egen lomme. Penge som jeg ikke har.

Hvis ikke jeg meget hurtigt får tilbageført mine 1.200 Euros til min konto, så bliver jeg nød til at lave dårlig reklame for Enterprise Rent-A-Car, alle vegne hvor jeg kan komme til det - inklusiv hos dansk TV.

Jeg ved at dette er en slags trussel, men jeg er så harm og frustreret over min behandling, og over at kunne komme til at betale så mange penge for noget, som jeg ikke selv har gjort, at det desværre er der jeg er kommet til.

God service/good service in Dubrovnik

Vi ankom til Dubrovnik og havde bestilt en bil, der viste sig at være alt for lille til vores behov. Vi skulle bruge en bil i en måned, men de kunne opgradere os både en og to klasser uden problemer.
Bilen havde en del skrammer, de blev alle noteret ved afhentning og der blev ikke lavet nogen numre da vi afleverede. Vi skulle afl. den med 80% fuld tank hvilket også forløb upåklageligt. Til to opgradering skete til en fair pris og der kunne oven i købet forhandles en smule rabat.

NIEMALS WIEDER!

Nachdem ich m Dezember 2014 über Opodo ein Fahrzeug bei der Niederlassung in Sindelfngen buchte und bezahlte, wollte ich dies gegen 14:00 Uhr abholen.

Zunächst wurde ich mit dem Hinweis begrüßt, dass ich zu spät käme, da das Fahrzeug für 11:30 h gebucht sei. Auf meine Entgegnung, ich hätte die Fahrzeugmiete ja bereits bezahlt und benötige es erst jetzt ab 14:00 h, wurde mir von einer Mitarbeiterin, in diesem herablassenden, einstudierten Floskeldeutsch, das man wohl in Seminaren zur Optimierung der Kundengespräche vermittelt bekommt, erklärt, -Sie werden sicher verstehen, dass wir das Fahzeug anderweitig vergeben, wenn Sie es nicht pünktlich abholen-
Obwohl die Miete ja bereits bezahlt ist

Da ich über keine Festnetznummer verfüge, musste ich irgendeine Festnetz Nummer von irgendjemandem angeben, da ich ansonsten das Fahrzeug nicht mieten kann.

Letztendlich scheiterte dann das Zustandekommen eines Vertrages an einer fehlenden Kreditkarte meinerseits, zur Stellung der Kaution von EUR 250,00. Bargeld wurde kategorisch abgelehnt. Auch die telefonische Übermittlung der Kreditkarten Daten einer Freundin, die bereits Kundin von Enterprise ist, wurde abgelehnt, mit der Begründung, der Karteninhaber müsse auch der Fahrer sein.

Dies alles geschah in einem derart arrogant - unfreundlichen Ton, in dem weder ein "Bitte", noch ein "Danke" vorkam.

Auf meine Frage, ob man mir sagen könne, ob und wie ich die bereits an Opodo bezahlte Fahrzeugmiete wieder erhalten könne, erhielt ich als Antwort ein lapidares "Nein".
Achja, gleich zum Anfang wurde mir geraten, doch künftig ohne Opodo, direkt bei Enterprise zu buchen.
Es ist mir durchaus bewußt, dass zur Abwicklungder Geschäftsabläufe gewisse Standards schaffen und auch auf deren Einhaltung geachtet werden muss. Es hätte mich sehr für Enterprise eingenommen, wenn dazu nicht nur die formalen Voraussetzungen gehören würden, sodern ganz besonders auch der kundenorientierte Umgang durch das Personal.

Mich jedenfalls konnte Enterprise nicht als Kunden gewinnen und eine bereits bestehende Kundin haben Sie verloren. Die darüber hinaus gehende Negativwerbung durch , -sich den Unmut von der Seele reden- ist hierbei natürlich noch nicht mit einbezogen.

Dass meine mail an Enterprise nicht einmal beantwortet wurde, ist eine konsequente Fortsetzung dieser Geschäftsgebaren und rundet das traurige Bild eigentlich nur noch ab.

Enterprise in München: Sehr empfehlenswert (für kurze Mietdauern)!!!

Im letzten Jahr war ich 2xMal Kunde für Kurzmiete von 4Tagen. Von der Höflichkeit des Personals, sowie von den Konditionen der CDW-Extra-Versicherung war ich begeistert, (weil man kein "American Express-Holder" sein muss, um den "Excess" der CDW zu gewährleisten): Für 4 Tage Fiat 500 zahlte ich, ca. 66€& alles OK!

Bei diesem ersten Mal war eine LM-Felge "angerubbelt": Gab auch (danach) KEIN Problem!!!

Den 5. Stern hätte ich gegeben, wenn sich der Bedienste beim Airportabgabecheck (Rückgabe am12.06.2014) um die (von Anfang an) defekte Antenne gekümmmert hätte, (was ein Mangel war, auf den ich ihn, im Interesse der Nachmieter mehrfach hinwies.

Great at local level, rubbish at HQ

I hired a car in Carcassonne,France where the staff could not be more helpful, both on picking up and return, even though I had an accident and scraped the bumper.
However, when I had to get evidence of the repair bill it took me nearly four months constantly contacting both the UK and Paris offices who just ignored me. In the end I used the European arbitration service that Enterprise is signed up to. Enterprise tried to ignore them too but eventually supplied a bill.
Such a shame as their staff on the ground were great but HQ just doesn't care about customers.
I'll never hire from them again

UN DISASTRO !!! CHIUDETE ENTERPRISE !!!

Franchigia di € 1000 !! Abbiamo dovuto sborsare € 89 (!!!!) per ridurre la franchigia a "soli" € 100; di fatto abbiamo dovuto pagare una maggiorazione del 73% sul prezzo del noleggio !

Nonostante la prenotazione fatta mesi prima, il modello di auto da noi richiesto ( o equipollente ) NON c'era : avremmo dovuto aspettare (40 minuti persi non erano sufficienti !) oppure accettare una macchina più piccola con uno sconto sulla benzina! Ob torto collo abbiamo dovuto accettare questa seconda ipotesi! Salvo poi sfrecciare imballati a 100 all'ora in autostrada.

La consegna e riconsegna dell'auto NON è in aeroporto, ma in una sede a 8 chilometri di distanza.La dizione "Fuori dall'Aeroporto - Servizio Navetta" appare solo sul voucher che ti mandano DOPO aver pagato

NON c'era una navetta a prenderci, come scritto sul voucher. Quindi
abbiamo dovuto chiamare, quando abbiamo trovato libero , ci hanno mandato uno a prenderci: è arrivato dopo 20 minuti , poi altri 15 minuti per andare da loro a fare il check in !!!

Al ritorno stessa manfrina, con in più il problema che se la riporti dopo le 17 NON ti accompagnano: ti danno un buono per un taxi , quindi devi chiamare il taxi (sperando di trovare qualcuno che parli inglese) e farti portare in aeroporto!

Evitate accuratamente questa compagnia !!!!

Problems with refund of excess

I have rented a car from Rent-A-Car / Citer in France. Car was booked one month prior to arriving to Paris and estimated time was 11:00 a.m. In fact we were able to arrive three hours later at the same day. A manager said that we were too late and they had already leased the car that we had rented. After discussion he had find us another car (Renault Modus), but it took some time.
Excess was 850 euro, CDW insurance; liability insurance and theft protection were included.
During driving I have damaged a front bumper with a column on parking. Speed was about 5 km/hr, so damage was not big, and we have used this car further until the end of rent without problems. After checking the car, Rent-A-Car / Citer had taken all the excess from my card (850 euro). Stuff explained to me that I should call to central office 2 weeks later and they will refund me part of this sum, because damage was not very serious. I have called them 5 times and sent 4 emails, and every time the answer was “tomorrow, the day after tomorrow”. I have spent 3 weeks to receive an answer. They had sent to me a bill from insurance company with a repair price 1815 euro and said that that they will not refund me any money. I have checked prices for Renault Modus, it is not produced from 2012, and a price for such cars is 5-6 thousand euro. How can bumper replacement price can be 1815 euro, if the entire car costs 6000 euro maximum?
So, insurance was included in my contract, and insurance company has paid to Rent-A-Car / Citer for repair. And in addition the supplier has taken all the excess from me. 2665 euro total (1815+850). I think that 2665 euro (a half of price of the entire car) is too much for damaged bumper of an economy class car.
Such that I can’t consider Rent-A-Car / Citer as an honest company.
