Great customer service at MacArthur, flexibility with appointments they listen to your concerns

I booked and prepaid for laser hair removal at Evolution Laser Clinic Randwick. I’ve had laser hair removal before at other clinics so I didn’t think there would be an issue. At my consultation, they refused to treat me due to some old scars on my legs and demanded a doctor’s certificate, a requirement never disclosed during booking or on their website or even on the health disclosure. I agreed regardless and paid to see a GP who was unsure how laser hair removal worked and advised me to see a dermatologist, which would have cost another $300. I simple couldn’t afford to go further. Supposedly not wanting to pay unnecessary expensive medically fees in order to get the service I purchased from Evolution Laser Clinic is deemed by them a “change of mind”…. A staff member initially promised a refund if I couldn’t get medical clearance, but this was later denied by management. Instead, they offered credit for other treatments I don’t want or need. The experience has been frustrating, stressful, and deeply disappointing. I’ve since filed a complaint with Fair Trading, in which they lied about what happened, and I’m now having to take them to court to get my money back.

If you’re considering booking, be aware that they may refuse service after payment and not honour refund promises. Non medically trained staff will asses your skin and at their discretion, request a medical certificate to proceed. I haven’t had this issue with other clinics. I understand they are trying to protect themselves from potential risks, but that’s exactly what the consent and medical clearance form I signed is for. I had no active condition and had undergone similar treatments elsewhere without any issues. The dismissive lack of empathy and respect from a company that is meant to help people feel good about their bodies is shameful.

Glenda, Jenny, and Coi always offer fantastic service every single time. They consistently let me know about current deals and genuinely show that they care about how I’m doing. On one occasion, they noticed two moles on my back and asked if I had them checked. After seeing my doctor, I found out they needed a biopsy. I truly trust this team's advice, concern, and their ability to provide premium service with honesty and care.The loyalty I show them they show right back couldn’t not fault any experience at the macarthur square clinic

Such great customer service at MacArthur square! They have such a lovely team, made me feel comfortable and performed great services. Koi was so nice and helped me with my ankle injury providing LED light treatment. Kelly has been doing my skin treatments and I’ve never felt so confident about my skin. I highly recommend the MacArthur square team.

Amazing Underarm Laser Experience!

I recently had an underarm laser treatment and I’m really happy with the results so far. The staff were so nice and welcoming, which made me feel comfortable and relaxed from the moment I walked in. The procedure was quick and professional, and they explained everything clearly before starting. I’m already noticing smoother skin and less hair growth. Highly recommend for anyone thinking about laser—great service and friendly people!

Macarthur clinic was great, Staff are all kind and welcoming, service is performed well in a professional manner , shop is always kept well presentable, highly recommended.

I was able to easily purchase my facial and book an appointment for tomorrow with very little issues.

I got my lips done by Ruby and I can not recommend her enough. It was my first time getting lip filler and I was slightly nervous and very persistent on how I wanted them to look. I didn't want it to look noticeable and was afraid they would look too big and not suit my face. I also had so asymmetry which I was really self conscious about especially when I smiled. From the minute I walked into the clinic I was put at ease. Ruby reassured me the whole way from the moment I sat down. After each step Ruby offered to show me the mirror so I could see exactly what she was doing and how it was looking. The finished product was better than I ever could've imagined and I can't believe I've never done it before. I will definitely be back :)

Scammers – Avoid at All Costs

Some of the staff are rude and completely unprofessional. I made a reservation over the phone for a laser hair removal treatment. I was given a price and told to come to the clinic at 4:30 PM on March 15. During that same phone call, I was told they couldn’t do the treatment because they were closing early and asked to come on Sunday the 16th instead.

Then, the next day, I received another call with the same excuse. They said my reservation would be canceled and I should come on Monday morning. When I refused, they told me to come anyway.

When I got there, the employee who did the treatment- all I remember is that she was wearing a scarf- was absurdly rude. I tried to explain the situation, and she just cut me off, saying, “go and sit; we will call for you.” I let it slide because I didn’t want her bad attitude to ruin my day.

After the treatment, I was charged but when I checked my bank account, they had taken nearly double the price they originally quoted me on the phone. When I refused to accept this and said it was their mistake, not mine, and that I wanted to speak to a manager, as they were vague and didn't explain anything, just put extra prices without letting you know before the treatment, the staff refused to refund me and instead offered a “complimentary session” for their mistake, Another employee also told me to come back in two weeks for a touch-up if the hair didn’t fall out.

I returned today (March 31) exactly two weeks later as they told me, and they were even ruder and dishonest. One of the employees, I don’t know her name, but her face was full of filler, just sat there looked on the screen after I gave her my number and started smirking. The other one next to her looked at the screen, then picked up her phone and smirked too, saying, “Yeah, we put a note on your account,” as if they had planned the whole disrespectful interaction in advance. It felt filthy, deliberate, and completely unprofessional.

First, they claimed I came back after three weeks and had missed the touch-up window. When I showed them the email and proved it had only been two weeks, they changed their story and said the touch-up should have happened in the first week, even though the treated hair hadn’t even fallen out yet!!!!!!

Then, they told me that if they gave me a touch-up now, they would remove the complimentary session from my account.

For context, I’ve already had nearly 15 laser hair removal sessions at another clinic. I only started going to this one after moving house and was planning to use it for occasional maintenance sessions. Despite that, their treatment was clearly done in a poor, patchy way, almost like they intentionally missed spots. They also try to pressure you into buying a full bundle of multiple sessions, even if you're only there for maintenance.

This place scammed me, lied to me multiple times, and treated me with total disrespect. I would absolutely not recommend them to anyone.
