Moving house is a burn, ... was a troll experience to live. I must confess I was apprehensive with all this experience to doubt about it all since day 1. Finally, it comes to a good End.
I am extremely pleased with as a customer. STRONGLY recommend your company trusty worth. Still, have a field for improvement on the communication level, missed feedback. But Overall I score 9 in 10.

International shippment

The company support was very good. They were repliad for all my queries and explained everything. The packing service was great as well. They came to my property and packed my belongings without any problems. I highly recommend!!

This was a move from Canada to Devon. With small towns on both sides it was quite tricky to organize the removal and delivery, logistically speaking. A fair number of big removal companies told me they couldn't do the move for me, or at least could not do it in the time frame I needed. Kudos to Excess International for organizing the move and doing it very quickly so that I left Canada as scheduled and everything went according to plan. The goods were delivered within the time frame promised, everything in perfect condition. Nothing lost or broken. When you consider that this was a groupage shipment that's quite impressive.

Staff are polite and friendly, and always respond promptly to emails. This company is efficient and does exactly what it promises. 100% reliable.

Awful customer service once they book you in.
Once you ask for a quote, they will hound you with constant phone calls and emails. Once you book with them, there is no aftercare. They could not even deliver the right size boxes to me and I wasted a whole day waiting for boxes to be delivered. If they can't get this right, I had no faith in their ability to ship my goods across the world. When I went to voice my concern with the manager, he talked over me, argued with me instead of apologising. What kind of customer service do you call that?
Don't bother with these guys.

The quote I received for my shipment was a very good, and once I decided to accept, the service I received was great. I got help with the shipping forms that needed to be completed, clear instructions, and was able to reach my contact quickly whenever I had any questions.

Excellent Service from Excess

The service we have received from Excess has been excellent and Dan Mogg has been extremely helpful in answering questions and guiding us through the process. The team of packers were an absolute pleasure to have around and excellent in squeezing the last drop out of the space on the container.

Please note we are the fourth member of our family to use Excess.

I was very pleased with this service as it was very efficient and helpful. My personal belongs where pack in no more than an hour. The staff very very friendly and helpful even though the British Custom had created a new difficult system to use. I was able to email and discuss any problems with them and they were very helpful. When my ship arrived in the UK they emailed me that they had arrived in the UK. They also told me that it would take between 7 to 14 days approximatley before release of the shippment. When the shipment was released form customs they contacted me and rang to make an appointment for delivery which was a about three days later. They came with the delivery on time to the minute we had agreed on. They were friendly and very helpful in unloading the boxes. We have just had our goods collected by Excess International Movers and would have no hesitation in recommending them to others. We have not received our goods in NZ yet but if the service is as good that end we will be well pleased.

Excess International took care of handling my household contents shipment ( ref:7028399) from South Africa from arriving at port in London to delivering to my home in Milton Keynes. I was regularly updated on progress with the shipment and the crew who unpacked my foods on arrival were very friendly, helpful and efficient!

Brilliant from start to finish, really helpful, Rhys and Dwayne have been great!! Definitely made the paperwork side easier and communication has been excellent.
Adam and the others on the removal side were excellent, nice, polite and once again everything was made easy for me. They done a great job.

I hired Schumacher services in the states to have my furniture and other precious things moved from California to London. Schumacher was great! They had some poor reviews but when I decided to go with them the guy I spoke with explained they had had some internal problem - don't recall what it was now. But, I just want to say they they did a 5 star move for me! They guys that came to pack my armoire were very detail oriented, and thorough. I packed all my fragile stuff cuz I'm a control freak but that was fine with them. Upon arrival the shipping company who received my things, Excess International Movers LTD, were also very detail oriented and super helpful on the phone and by email. I was in constant contact with them until my stuff arrived. Deborah who I spoke with could not have been more helpful and she made sure to set up delievery around our best date. There were no hidden fees and nothing broken as I read with some others who used Schumacher. If you want a company who is thorough and careful with your stuff I wouldn't hesitate to hire them. Again, on this end I would happily recommend Excess International as well.

We have had a great experience with shipping our 1 cubic metre of personal effects from Auckland to the UK using Excess International Movers. Starting with Sharon Hortop in Auckland we were eventually handed to the very efficient Deborah Gilbert in the UK who has been very helpful throughout. She was very understanding and patient. I would highly recommend this company for your shipping needs.

I had an excellent experience with Excess International Movers.
We took a small 1/4 container of sea freight from London to Perth Australia. A second lot of personal belongings by Air Freight. Both services were door to door.
From first point of contact with Rhys through to coordinating with Dwyane the pick up and dates, collection/packing team Eric and Vitale and now we're just waiting for delivery to Australia. The quote was competitive but the service was even better, it exceeded my expectations. I have no hesitation in recommending Excess International Movers for your move.

From the initial conversation with Dwayne in the office, to Dan, who did the survey, to then Keith and his crew for the packing - the entire team was extremely professional, courteous, and efficient and everything went smoothly and as planned.
Our shipment has not arrived yet (it's way too soon), however it is now out of the hands of the UK team, so whatever happens they have done their part brilliantly and deserve recognition!

Through the NZ company I used to ship my boxes from New Zealand to the UK, I used Excess International Movers to deal with the UK end of importing my boxes. They were great: very clear with what was going to happen in what time frame, prompt to respond to correspondence and questions from me, and their delivery team were exceptional.
