Expat Tax Professionals are amazing. We had a bad experience with our previous tax person not knowing nearly enough about our US/UK tax issues, including my husband revoking his Green Card. Expat Tax Professionals were phenomenal - responsive, quick and incredibly good at what they do. And they cost less! We will be using them for all of our tax needs in future; they made our lives so much easier, and for far less money! We cannot recommend them enough!

Intermittent self-employment can be a labyrinth for tax filing, and it’s a shame that it proves so expensive and complex. This service is an exceptional, supportive means of squaring that insidious circle, and I only hope their streamlined cheaper option can also be expanded to cover these irritating edge cases, especially as industries like the arts are so at sea in these trying times. I have been using Expat Tax Professionals for several years now, as a dual citizen living in Australia. As I’d lived in Aus since I was a baby I had no idea about the USA tax system so was horrified when I learned that I should have been filing a USA return each year. I contacted ETP for guidance and they were marvellous in helping me negotiate my way through the Streamlined Program to become tax compliant. I’ve used them every year since for my annual tax returns, and most recently for my citizenship renunciation tax filings. Email questions are normally answered within 24 hours, spreadsheets are comprehensive and easy to follow, and their fees are reasonable. Highly recommended!

For the Streamlined Returns it would have been very helpful if ExpatTaxProfessionals could have had us sign the returns remotely, printed and sent the returns to IRS instead of us.

I could have done with mores advice on the pros and cons of giving up my US citizenship which I was advised to do be Aviv Abergel at the start of the process. I was unawares if giving the correct reason for giving up my Citizenship during the exit Interview. I was also unaware of the Exit Tax for covered expats.

I have recommended ExpatTaxProfessionals to all my US friends and also to the American Chamber of Commerce.

They were, as always, extremely helpful in guiding us through the process.

The accountants I spoke with were always calm and helpful, with good advice and a sensible plan when I was tearful and didn't know what to do. They never seemed to be angry or to sneer at what a mess I'd made of my tax affairs which was an advantage. We think things have gone well. Yes I plan on going to them again.

I have used them for a few years and they are very professional and efficient. Last year there was a slight problem because theY did not get my signed return which I had emailed and asked for return acknowledgment. They didn’t respond but I assumed it had been filed. A month or so later I received a reminder email so had to resend it, but it was within the filing deadline so all was well in the end. Will use them again this year and make sure I get a response.

This year as in the past, the people I worked with at Expat Tax were amiable and efficient. I might say that I was most pleased by finding out that the 15-10 thousand pounds of tax I thought was unavoidable had turned into a pittance -- but even if I had been liable for that, I am sure Expat Tax would have let me know just as professionally and accurately of the Unavoidable, and I would still have been grateful.
