Expecting Antenatal Classes Reviews 

We have become a fully converted Expecting family. Having done the antenatal courses, both my partner and I felt well informed when it came to bringing our baby boy into the world. Beyond Expecting has provided Ezra and I with a great weekly pit stop to decompress, and catch up with other Mums and babies.

We have also just finished baby massage and baby yoga where we met more lovely Mums and babies and I have really enjoyed the bonding experience of some more physical/touch-based activity with baby. We love it so much my husband even did Dad’s massage.

Every step of the way we have found Freya to be encouraging, calming and supportive and I’m so grateful for the communities that have been built through all these activities - I couldn’t imagine doing this baby malarkey without them!

The baby massage and yoga classes are a great bonding experience for you and your little one! Both are perfect to do at home and packs are sent out after each session!! The sessions are great to meet mums at the same stage as you and bounce ideas or talk openly during them tough weeks when needed! Freya is so welcoming and hosts them in her home which is a cosy environment for all! Highly recommend

Me and my partner started with the expecting antenatal classes which helped us both feel more confident about the big day and the fourth trimester. I also did the Hypnobirthing course, although my little boy came so quickly I didn’t get chance to put my practise to work, I did find it very relaxing in the last few weeks of pregnancy.

We then continued with Freya for baby massage, I felt so supported by Freya when he was poorly. Freya is down to earth and so empathetic. The leg massage techniques certainly helped me to keep him calm on his op day!
Bertie loves Freya and all the little babies he met so much we continued with baby yoga. He had so much fun, belly laughing through most of the classes 😂. We will certainly miss our Monday hot chocolate.

Highly recommend! Such a calm and welcoming atmosphere even when baby is having a grizzly day!

Great Baby massage and yoga courses!
Following on from the antenatal classes, I signed up for baby massage first, and then baby yoga (I think that's a good order to do them in).

Baby massage is a lovely bonding experience at the training sessions, but also equips you with great techniques to soothe your baby at home if they are a bit cranky! My baby was particularly receptive to the leg massage and head massage part of the course. As with all Expecting classes, the atmosphere was relaxed and safe. We definitely enjoyed a natter over a hot drink while we were there.

Baby yoga is a fun follow-on! You learn different movements for your baby which even help aid brain development! Each lesson gets progressively more active, and by the last session, Mama (or Dada!) are really using those glutes! Freya sends out the classes recap after each session so you can do the routine at home too. Again another beneficial tool to do at home!

Thanks Freya for providing me & my little boy with a slice of calm on a Monday during your baby massage & baby yoga classes. I really enjoyed both classes & loved your approach to teaching. Not only that but the social element & being able to openly chat, with no judgement, was a lifesaver some weeks. Thanks again, would thoroughly recommend!

A fabulous, in depth, but informative course! We’ve absolutely loved these sessions & they’ve taught us so much. Freya is a wealth of knowledge & we particularly wanted a midwife lead class. She made us feel at ease to ask questions & the group atmosphere was welcoming, with refreshments provided. Freya has definitely alleviated a lot of worries, preparing us for our exciting journey ahead! Highly recommended.

Essential for expecting Mums and Dads. Freya is engaging, energetic and so accommodating. No question was left unanswered and I’ve come away from this course learning more in four weeks than I’ve learned in the past 20 years. Recommend this to everyone

Freya has a huge amount of knowledge and has been a big support both before and after our LO was born! Absolutely recommend the classes for first time parents or as a refresher!

Fantastic and informative class. Freya is extremely knowledgeable and always happy to give advice. Taking part in the class gave a great overview for what was to come and helped to prepare as much as possible.

I found Freya’s classes from searching on Google and could not fault them one bit. Freya made us both feel so at ease and gave us a wealth of information in a friendly and easy to understand way. Every class was broken down and we met a great group of parents to be. Freya’s videos, exercises and the nursery she used was just what we needed before our baby arrived. Can't recommend Freya enough! We did the hypno-birthing course and the antenatal classes in Stafford and I absolutely recommend both! My husband and I learnt so much ahead of the arrival of our little girl! I also hired a TENS machine from Freya which was an absolute god send during contractions! Freya was also at the end of the phone through-out labour, leaving me messages and voice notes throughout! Since having our little girl I have attended the Beyond Expecting group and now the baby massage classes, and again loving both! It's so nice being in the WhatsApp groups with the others from both the antenatal class and the baby massage class, as we're all there to support each other and help each other when we have questions. Thanks for everything Freya!

I can't recommend these classes highly enough. We felt so much more informed after the sessions and it really helped to take away the nerves. It was also so lovely meeting other expecting couples and the support we have received afterwards has been invaluable. Thank you Freya!

We absolutely loved the Expecting Antenatal classes! Freya was so informative, yet the classes were extremely relaxed and informal. We felt comfortable enough to ask all of our ‘stupid questions’ knowing that Freya would answer them honestly.
It allowed us to meet other first time parents and the WhatsApp group that Freya set up has been invaluable. It has been lovely going to other classes (including Beyond Expecting and Baby Massage) with these girls now too.
Would recommend these classes to anyone that’s expecting!

Freya’s Expecting antenatal classes came highly recommended by a handful of people I knew, and did not disappoint. The Expecting antenatal classes were absolutely fantastic and really helped prepare us both for the birth and ease us into the first stages of parenthood.
Freya's personable approach really does help to set the mind at rest as first time parents - no questions go unanswered and nothing is too much trouble for her; even being right on the other end of the phone for extra reassurance and guidance. The level of content in each course is spot on, the additional classes have also been fantastic, and to top it off we have met lovely fellow first time parents and look forward to the baby reunion!

Freya’s antenatal classes were absolutely fantastic, especially for us as first time parents. Expecting was recommended by our community midwife and we are so glad that we booked. Despite feeling very clueless initially, Freya immediately put us at ease and we learnt so much. Freya takes the time to answer all questions and nothing is too much trouble. We also had to call on Freya for help once our baby girl was born as we had issues with latching and feeding and she was amazing.

Not only did we learn so much we have also made some new friends and we are very much looking forward to our reunion to meet the gorgeous new arrivals.

This course was absolutely brilliant, and now that we have had our first child and looking back at the classes, I would say they are absolutely essential.
