Faro Travel Costa Rica Reviews 

I stayed in Monteverde for a month and while there, I traveled within Monteverde and to many other cities. I used Faro Travel Costa Rica and was very pleased with the services provided as the staff were always professional, punctual, kind, friendly and helpful (especially Andres!).
As I solo female traveler they helped me feel safe and also helped me book many activities/travels. I was able able to contact them at any time and would receive a quick reply, even when I would message them last minute about wanting to go somewhere/do something.
I would recommend them to anyone visiting Monteverde or for anyone looking for a reliable tour company.

Andres and his family run and incredibly friendly and reliable service for visitors! I’m a female solo traveler who had no set plans. I was worried about getting from point A to point B since I didn’t do much research prior to leaving California (this trip was last minute). However, using Faro Travel Costa Rica and Transportes Freylid (both run by the Andres and his family) it’s been a BREEZE. Seriously. I can What’s App him at any given time in the day and he’s very quick to respond. He’ll book my taxis, tours, pickups, drop-offs, and answer any general questions about ANY part of Costa Rica with just a little over 24hr notice sometimes. I’m still on vacation as we speak and I plan to use him for the duration of my trip!!! Seriously if you want someone reliable, affordable, and friendly this is your family. They speak English too! I highly recommend for female solo travelers - I feel so safe!

Faro Travel helped me get around Monteverde and is helping me return to the airport. They are very helpful and had great recommendations for what to do while in Monteverde, helping to coordinate a zip lining tour with another company. It is a Spanish speaking country, so be prepared, but I coordinated with Andrés who speaks English perfectly, was incredibly helpful, and was very prompt to reply. 100% recommend for getting around Costa Rica!!!

I had a great experience using the services that were offered. The family members speak english, are friendly and were very kind to explain me things, that helped me with my trip. Additionally I spent some time researching the prices from other companies but could not find it anywhere cheaper, so if you want to save some money, that would be my choice again. I would totally recommend using their services.

I’ve traveled a lot in my life and Andreas has been one of the most helpful people I have met. New every nook and crannie and could get you hooked up with anything you would want to do in the country. Absolute stand up guy, coming to him again on my next visit of Costa Rica. Pura Vida!

My husband and I participated in a local volunteer program in a rural farm outskirt of Santa Elena. Andres provided taxi services daily for us from this farm to downtown. He is so friendly and responsive. He also recommended and arranged the canopy tour for us, which was totally awesome and fun! Glad to have met Andres and his family. We will definitely recommend to our friends and contact them for travel arrangements next time we are back in Costa Rica.

It was so good to have a trip with Andres, he is good to take us to the destination. Also he helps you to have tourism .

If you are in the Monteverde area and are in need of transportation either locally or throughout Costa Rica, consider Faro Travel. We spent 3 weeks in Monteverde and whenever we needed a car, we called Faro. We usually interacted with Andreas however all of the drivers were great. If one of their cars wasn’t available, Andreas made the arrangement for a different company to pick us up. I highly recommend them for their service, friendliness and advice (they also book tours).

I used this company often when I was on vacation in the Monteverde area during February 2019. I found Faro travel to be very reliable service for a great price. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! All the drivers were very nice and enthusiastic. I used the company enough to know multiple drivers, especially Andrés. Andrés is an incredibly sweet guy who can relate to you on a personal level. He works very hard to insure his company goes above and beyond expectations. He always got me to where I needed to be on time. The company’s connection and knowledge of the area is great if you need recommendations on things to do or need help booking tours. It was super nice to have a trustworthy and friendly driving service that was easy to contact during my vacation. The cars were always very clean and professional. 10/10!!!
