Really lovely call hander who was very informative and thorough.

HAVE DEALT WITH THIS COMPANY FOR 18 YEARS AND HAVE ALWAYS FOUND THEM VERY EFFICIENT,PROMPT AT REPLYING TO QUERIES WITH POLITE/HELPFUL STAFF.

Oh dear, my insurance provider Covea is unable to renew my household contents this year, so I was asked to complete a very exacting form for a quote from an alternative provider ( and thank you Terry for your patience and assistance ). When completed, the form was submitted! No changes to content, no claims in the past four years I have held and none prior! My postcode not acceptable! Why didn’t that register at the beginning of the application. What a waste of everyone’s time!

My recent experience with FCC Paragon as part of the referencing checks completed for a rental.

What has been asked of me:

Provide a copy of my employment contract
Provide a detailed list of all adresses I have resided at along with the reasons for my occupation.
Provide a bank statement
Provide a copy of my passport
Pay an £8.40 fee for facial verification
Provide records of everything I have in savings

The result:

I was told that I had passed the referencing check. Three weeks later, I found out that FCC Paragon had made a mistake and I had in fact, failed the checks. After a constant stream of emails, uploading documents and paying an £8.40 fee, I received nothing.

Our case was not particularly straightforward. We were able to submit everything asked for but it needed an explanation.
Kirsty dealt with our case and was very helpful with a 'can do' attitude, it gave us the feeling that the company wanted to help us through. Communication was excellent vis email, text message and phone call.

I had to go through their tenant vetting process and although I specifically asked not to be contacted with promotional offers, they have sold my data to insurance companies, who would then proceed to send me emails and even call me TWICE A DAY on MY PERSONAL NUMBER to sell me their services.

Even worse, the emails were formulated in a way that made us believe that they were acting on behalf of our agent (they weren't) and that we had secured the property for good, even though FCC Paragon hadn't even begun to consider looking at our application.

It is very easy to confirm income and previous rental history via email. You DO NOT need to give them access to your accounts (a ridiculously invasive request that they should get rid of) or give them your personal information.

Just ask the estate agent to vet you personally, that is what they're paid for after all. And if they insist on using Paragon, I suggest you pass on the offer and look elsewhere, for the risk of losing your deposit and your info leaking through the sheer Incompetence and greed of this company is too great.

Thankfully, our agent agreed to circumvent their process as soon as he heard about my info leaking and we secured the property.

This company does not bring anything of value to the process, only making it more complicated. Avoid at all costs.

Very quick response and the lady was very helpful and patient and I received a very good response to my enquiry about home contents insurance. Excellent customer service.

I had a bit of trouble obtaining a quote due to certain criteria. But Natasha was absolutely amazing at helping me. She explained everything throughly and ensured all information was absolutely correct and added peace of mind by making extra phone calls, going above and beyond for me. Easy and extremely safe secure ways to make payments too. Would highly recommend this insurance company.

Always reminding me about renewal dates, explain the details and efficiently get things done with ease

Teresa and the team are always excellent! The professionalism of a corporate company, but the treatment feels like a family run company, they always deliver! I have dealt with them for many years and love the fact they remember me when I call.

I've used a number of tenant reference agencies over the years and I have to say that the staff at FCC paragon are amazing.

Never have to chase for updates. They call me. Its almost like having another member of staff.
