I am training for a marathon and these bars are great put in with my oat in the morning and eat them just a a bar after a run.

The bars are so convenient and so good!

They taste great and they don't break or crumble too easily. I had one stuck at the bottom of my bag all morning and expected it to be crushed when I pulled it out, but it had stayed firm and compact.

So ideal for long days out when you need a reliable source of calories and macros. Not full of crap and fits in your bag easily!

These were an absolute saviour on my recent 52 mile hike! So easy to eat and genuinely tasty - highly recommend the Cherry Bakewell. My partner started having them for breakfast after making them into porridge as well, a really nice alternative way to consume. The founder has been very communicative and helpful when I had questions over allergens - very nice touch!

I was genuinely impressed by Flaming Phoenix and, above all, by the quality of both their products and customer service.
My first order unfortunately didn't arrive in time due to some customs issues. I needed the bars for a desert race, so this was obviously quite stressful. However, the team acted quickly, solved the situation and managed to send me a second package in time. I really appreciated how seriously and efficiently they handled the problem.
I needed the bars during the Marathon des Sables, a 271 km desert race where you have to carry almost everything you need in your backpack. In that kind of race, every gram matters, so finding a food that provides good energy without taking up too much space or weight is extremely important.
But for me, energy wasn't the only thing that mattered. After several hours and days of running, having something that still tastes good and doesn't become overly sweet or unpleasant is just as important.
These bars were excellent on both fronts: they provided the energy I was looking for while remaining genuinely enjoyable to eat, even after many hours of running.
For a race like the MDS, where nutrition can make a huge difference to how you feel and perform, they became one of the products I was happiest to have with me.
A great product, but also a brand that showed me how much good customer service matters when something unexpected happens.
I will definitely keep them in mind for my next long-distance adventures!

I’m a massive fan of phoenix bars. Really convenient when I’ve needed a boost on a long day and they taste brilliant whilst packing in lots of calories which other bars cannot replicate. On top of that, James is a very passionate founder who clearly cares about the quality of his bars and customer service.

I was looking for an energy bar that is not just suitable for extreme sports persons but also suitable for people who need help with a high calorie intake due to illness. In my case this is my sister who has received a cancer diagnosis. The bars are superb. Since incorporating them into her daily diet she has not just hold her weight but also gained a little bit weight. She likes all flavours however chocolate seems to be her favourite. They are palatable, she breaks them up into small pieces and eats little bits spread out over the day, keeping her energy levels up. James customer service is superb. When I explained why I was ordering his bars he made sure that they were delivered within 2 days and his communication is excellent. My sister lives in Germany and has placed an order from there too and again delivery was quick.

These are honestly great. I use them for some of my longer runs and I find my energy levels stay exactly where I need them to be throughout.

Had a long race coming up and always looking for good ways to fuel. Came across the high calorie bars in my search, messaged James (the founder) and he was able to guide me to best bars for me. Great tasting product and really helped me through my race. Will be purchasing more for next race.

I used two vanilla bars during the Yorkshire Three Peaks training run with my dog — officially 24 miles with 5,250 feet of ascent, though my Garmin recorded 6,490 feet. I broke each bar into around six pieces and ate them throughout the round.
They were easy to eat, didn’t clog my mouth, and I wasn’t left spitting out dry food — a real plus compared with other bars that can be too dry. I also had no stomach discomfort while running or trotting, and they didn’t put me off taking more fuel on the hour.
My energy levels felt steady throughout, with no dips or crashes that needed a quick sugar hit — which often leads to more lows later. Overall, I only used the two bars, one energy gel for the final push up Ingleborough. The rest of my food stayed untouched, which was excellent.
In summary, the big win was steady energy over the full 5 hours 51 minutes training run.
