I purchased two Flos In Vitro Unplugged lamps expecting top-tier design and functionality, given their high price.
While the lamps look stunning, their performance is a serious letdown.
The optical sensors are overly sensitive, causing the lamps to turn on unintentionally due to small insects, sunlight, or even movements in the room. This renders the lamps nearly unusable, as they drain their batteries quickly in normal home conditions.
Despite reaching out to Flos support, I was informed that the sensor sensitivity cannot be adjusted, with no viable solution offered. For such an expensive product, this kind of design flaw is unacceptable. Aesthetic beauty aside, I cannot recommend these lamps due to their fundamental design flaw.

I ordered a very expensive lamps from their website and the most expensive one was not delivered. I provided them with all the info and they keep on asking me the same informations ( name of the missing product that I OF COURSE shared in the very first email) to delay the assistance. I paid an assembling service and lost my money because they couldn't install the product.
I will proceed with legal support but please do not order from this website, it's a scam!

Ho acquistato tre anni fa lampade mod. May Day purtroppo a così breve distanza dall'acquisto il paralume si sbriciola come un biscotto. Sono rimasta delusa dalla breve durata di queste splendide lampade di design. Quando uno acquista oggetti di design si aspetta una durata diversa. Contattata l'azienda, questa ha si risposto alla mail, ma dicendo che la riparazione sarebbe stata a carico mio (riparazione tra l'altro impossibile da effettuare in quanto un blocco unico). La serietà di questa azienda, a parer mio, è pari a zero. Di sicuro questo sarà il mio ultimo acquisto Flos, che sconsiglierò vivamente a chiunque.

Flos ha risposto immediatamente alla mia richiesta di sostituzione della lampadina guasta ed ha provveduto a spedirne una nuova in tempi brevissimi, nonostante il periodo di ferie. Servizio impeccabile!

I reported to Flos that one of my beloved Bellhop lamps developed a huge crack when I was out of town. The heat maybe ? they told me to speak to the retailer which was Arredare. They finally responded after three emails and are now going to contact Flos...So no resolution, but I can see online that this has happened to a number of customers. I live in hope of a replacement...

We bought two Flos IC S1 in June 2022. In March 2024 (I.e., within the two year guarantee) one of the lights stopped working and we tried to replace the light bulb. When we tried, the shade rotated without unscrewing. We have also tried with the other lamp and there is the same issue. It appears the screws are spinning but not catching.
We contacted the customer service on the same month to ask for a replacement of the shades and we were told they believe this was caused by the electrician who installed it and that the only solution was to purchase new shades at our own costs. They mentioned the risk of overtightening was included in the instruction manual, while this is only partially true: such manual only says that, in case of overtightening, it would be possible to open the shade with a tool (without any additional information: what type of tool??). When asked customer service about the tool, they never replied to us. It appears from this whole story that 1) their manuals include false or partial information, 2) their product designs are just bad (e.g., overtightening results in the shades to be replaced), 3) they do not honour the products' guarantees, 4) the extra price you paid for their design does not come with a premium experience - IKEA would do a better job for a fraction

- it is next to IMPOSSIBLE to contact the manufacturer for resolution
-when the manufacturer finally responded after 10+ emails and phone calls, they offered to send a part that is NOT defective and NOT the ones I asked for
-I wanted this light for staging of my home; this experience has ruined my plans
I cannot express how disappointed I am at this so-called high-end designer light company.
Edit: They sent me a new (working) light. I hope their communication regarding customer inquiry will be better next time.

Update 06/04/24: after leaving this review I got contacted by Flos customer service and asked again for a refund. They asked to return the broken lamp at my expenses, which I did. However, instead of getting a refund, they shipped a new lamp. I'm going to reject the shipment and dispute the credit card charge with my bank. Flos customer service continues to demonstrate that they do not care about customer satisfaction.

I bought a Bellhop Table Lamp on March 14, 2024. I received the lamp and it stopped working after few hours. After many calls, I received a replacement on Apr 11 (almost a month), which stopped working after a week or so. I have sent emails and calls and after a representative told me that I should try other cables (which I obviously did before even contacting the customer service), I haven't received any response to my request to ship the lamp back and get a refund as of today, 05/30/24.
It is very disappointing to receive such customer service, especially since the lamp wasn't cheap.

I’m just so frustrated I have not yet responded to their latest message, and I’m on vacation, during which I’ve wasted way too much of time my time dealing with this. Their latest suggestion is still inaccurate…..
Flos might make attractive lighting, but their quality is poor and their customer service is almost nonresistant. I have been trying to fix a $4000 lamp for over 4 months. I have reached out for help at different stages, now bought multiple replacement parts for an additional $1500 and I still am unable to get it to work or get actual assistance. Every time I send an email, describing in great detail the problems I am having or trying to get the right replacement parts, including numerous photos, no one ever understands what I am talking about. I am a pretty thorough and detailed person. I've spelled out the problems, numerous times. I've asked if there is any way to do a Facetime call or similar since I cannot think of any other way to clearly explain the problem - which is not that complicated, but I get nowhere. They might initially respond, but then they often ignore follow-up messages. It seems like their company policy dictates to not bother if they can't fix the problem in 1 or 2 messages. Frankly, I think there are no people in the New York location with any technical comprehension of their products, although, all I am trying to get are cords that simply have the correct connectors. I send messages like I need a cord with photos of exactly what each end needs to look like. they all have no clue. Whenever I call, I am nearly brought to tears out of such utter frustration. My next step will be reporting them to the BBB as I am very out of patience. Sometimes it's a language barrier as some employees are Italian, but mostly, it appears they are either not bright or just don't care. This started in December of 2023 and is still unresolved at the end of April. the form wants me to pick an exact date this "experience" but that's impossible to do.

I returned my order, without even taking it out of the box, three weeks ago and am still waiting for my refund, which is approximately $600. Flos customer service cannot give me any answer as to when I will receive my refund. They said that my information is with the financial department, which has not yet processed it, although the customer service department has given them all of the pertinent information to do so, “multiple” times.
Inexcusable! Another reason not to do business with this incompetent company.

This company says they provide free returns, but when they sent me the wrong item, they refused to pay return shipping (they just stopped responding to emails, when I would call, they said that they needed to get approval from a manager and I never heard back, etc.).
I paid $30 to ship this back to them and lost at least 5 hours of my time dealing with this company.
I wish I had read about them on TrustPilot first, but I assumed because this is a high-end brand that they would not LIE about their policies and then refuse to help me in this situation. Terrible company, will never do business with them again.

Diese Nachricht ging nach einer Odysse, die mir und der Kundin viel Zeit und auch Geld gekostet hat, zuerst an das Lichtzentrum in Treuchtlingen, dann - weil die nicht reagiert haben - an den FLOS Kundendienst. Ich warte seit Tagen auf einen Anruf, interessiert keinen, ICH soll alles mögliche dokumentieren. ICH habe nichts verkauft, der Händler tut nichts zur Reklamationsbeseitigung, ich empfehle seit 16 Jahren die Produkte und bekomme nichtmal einen ANRUF???? Geht gar nicht für mich!!! Unglaublich, wie wenig diese Hersteller der Endkunde und auch die Planer interessiert, die eigentlich deren Umsätze akquirieren :(

Esperienza terribile! Diffidate dalla Flos. I prodotti sono costosissimi e la assistenza clienti in caso di problemi è praticamente inesistente. Un muro di gomma che rimbalza ogni richiesta sostenendo l'insostenibile. Due sistemi micro running magnet acquistati a carissimo prezzo e mal funzionanti. Dopo quasi un anno di richieste da parte mia e del venditore hanno mandato a casa mia un incaricato Flos a verificare e, invece di essere una figura tecnica, era una figura commerciale, completamente inconsapevole delle caratteristiche tecniche del prodotto istallato a casa mia e completamente ignorante. Senza fare alcuna verifica e senza neppure salire sulla scala, il commerciale ha solo ripetuto all'infinito quanto gli era stato detto di riferire dalla casa madre, ovvero che il prodotto era stato istallato male e per questo funzionava male; ovviamente la colpa è sempre di qualcun altro che non c'è. Veramente la Flos ha fatto una figura pessima, di infimo livello, con me e con il rivenditore, che ovviamente era presente. Non comprerò mai più un prodotto Flos e farò una pessima pubblicità. I prodotti non valgono quello che costano e, soprattutto, la azienda non è assolutamente seria, cosa che non ci si aspetta da chi, come la Flos, si fa strapagare. Pessimi, pessimi, pessimi! Vergognatevi!

2 lampes Miss K achetées chez Voltex avec problème de fonctionnement. Le SAV de Voltex transmet la réclamation auprès du SAV de Flos. Vu les délais de traitement je contacte directement le SAV de Flos qui m'écrit "Vous devez installer les ampoules recommandées par FLOS ; vous les trouvez dans notre site internet au prix de 29€ pièce" Hallucinant...j'ai réparé moi-même tout en utilisant des ampoules dimmables trouvées dans le commerce. Première et dernière expérience des produits FLOS.
