Lawnmower assembly and instructions appalling

I wish I had read these reviews before buying the Simplistore 300Li Lawnmower since I thought I was buying a longstanding and trusted brand. I haven’t even used it yet so can’t comment on that, so am just going to limit my remarks to the assembly. I am an older person and this lightweight easily storable mower seemed exactly what I needed. However although I expected to put together the handle, box etc, I did not expect to need a degree in engineering to assemble small parts, screws, springs etc. Not only that but it required someone with extremely strong hands to hold the sprung section in place while attaching other parts. Further to that, the paper instructions are a joke, so complex and confusing as being almost impossible to follow. I won’t go into all the aspects of bad design here, but Flymo should be sacking this graphic designer and employing someone able to communicate through text and image, these instructions should never have been approved for public use. Although I haven’t yet used the mower, I eventually worked out that in order to change the cutting height you have to turn the mower over and physically re-position the wheels! – why? It turns out that the next model up has a lever – again why on earth not just design all with a simple lever? There is no mention of this in the description and I certainly would not have purchased this model if I had realised. So many problems on so many levels, what has happened with this company?

Like another reviewer I found the bolt holding the blade had been screwed on so tight the tool supplied would not undo it! Luckily I have a plumber wrench but still drew blood try to use the supplied tool.
Mower is not as solid as the same model I bought several years ago, definitely cheaper to produce, and they have also shortened the power cable by several feet. I doubt if will last as long as the last one.

My new flymo hedge cutter arrived last week. Stopped working after one day. Tried to contact Flymo - telephone service not available so used their email service. Email returned, their mail system is not functioning. today tried 2 times to contact customer care on advertised phone no. Both times rang out then asked to leave a message, then told the mailbox was full

Flymo robot making a mess

What a mess this is making of my garden. It bounces off the perimeter wire with no sense. It doesn’t monitor what is cut and what is not, it just hopes to cover all the grass areas, but misses about 50%. It over cuts some area and doesn’t cut others. I’ve been trying to live with this for 17 months and it just doesn’t work. My garden is 700sqm, and it just can’t deal with this. Please see pics.

Have to scrape grass off from under the…

Have to scrape grass off from under the canopy every time it is used This means turning it upside down - definately not designed to turn upside down! Really awkward to carry/ move from one place to another.When the cable is wrapped around the handle for storage the machine becomes top heavy It cuts ok but that's about it.It can very usefully cut grass under plants which have flopped over the edge of the lawn without damaging them Overall, next time, I woud get something on wheels.

Aftercare is appalling

Aftercare is appalling, purchased a mower from Amazon and there was no grass box handle upon delivery. Contacted them directly and have provided proof of purchase several times only to be told they can't use my invoice and want an official invoice. What they have is direct from my Amazon account I have nothing else to provide. The item is registered with them but utter jobsworths!

Flyom Easylife Robotoic Mower

Purchased a flymo easylife robotic mower 2 years ago. Every winter I have put it inside after cleaning and servicing it and each time I have brought it out for the new season it has developed a fault. It is currently away again being repaired under warranty and its June and I have had no use from the unit so far this year. If I could go back I definitely wouldn't buy this unit again and I am fairly confident it will fail again in the near future.
Very disappointing and expensive mistake.

Purchased a hedge trimmer that won't…

UPDATE: Several weeks have passed, it is now the 22nd July, I have chased Flymo and still heard nothing back at all

Purchased a hedge trimmer that won't charge so I emailed Flymo. A couple of years ago I bought a cordless mower that was also terrible and the battery failed within a few months. I left a public negative review of the mower and Flymo replied saying that I should have got in touch with them directly to sort it out. So... this time I am getting in touch with them directly and I haven't heard anything since I emailed a week ago. Meanwhile my hedges are becoming triffids. Wish I'd bought a corded trimmer from a different brand.

Warranty turned down on my mower…

Warranty turned down on my mower because I opened it up to change a snapped belt, Belts are excluded from the warranty as a service item, How do you change the belt without opening the machine? turns out when I took it apart to change the belt that the fan thing on top of the motor has moved and is rubbing the sides probably caught the belt and self destructed my mower so it's a paperweight and my lawn will only be 1/2 mowerd for my sons birthday, took two emails a week apart to get any response from them

Purchased an EasiGlide 300 mower

Purchased an EasiGlide 300 mower - first one had to take back as the bolt holding the blade would not budge to put spacers on.
Got a replacement - guess what exactly the same!
Had to take it to a tyre garage who used a compressor drill (like the ones you see changing F1 cars) to release it.
Tried to advise them of this on Facebook but got told to send an e-mail - which I did - got the auto reply - then as at today 6 days later - absolutely nothing.

No customer service whatsoever - I have used Flymos for many years but this will be the last one!!

Non existent Customer Service

Wheel fell off a brand new mower, looks like the cap on the axle wasn't fit correctly. Sent an email to the one on the warranty paperwork and just got ignored. I will never buys Flymo again. Non existent customer service which is shocking for such a big company.

Beware of Bronze…

I bought a Bronze grade mower from Flymo outlet on e bay.
Delivered late June 2023, used July, August,September. Cleaned and stored away for Winter in October. First time it was used in April this year the motor burned out. Out of warranty and I am out of pocket. So what seemed like a bargain buy turned out to be an expensive mistake. The company were informed but offered nothing.
Beware of refurbished machines.

Grass box assembly - invalid contact number

Telephone number 0344 844 4558 is invalid. Email address given on warranty card is also invalid. Online form has no button to submit!

Unable to assemble grass box on Easistore 340r -hands bleeding, nails broken, skin rubbed raw. I want some assistance please. And an explanation why this design is acceptable to you. It's a disgrace.

Batteries Fail after 1 year and expensive to replace

The lawnmower itself is ok but the batteries fail very quickly. If you leave it plugged in the charger the next time you goto use it the battery has drained which requires you to remove them form the charger and plug them back in again. After 1 year of use through the summer the next time you come to use it the batteries have totally died and they are at least £60-£80 each to buy minimum and it needs 2.

Review amended due to improvement

My original review wasn’t good but i have since amended due to nature of their response
1st review- scored 1/5”Phone number has message saying line is closed due to staff training and to call tomorrow. I do call the next day and still the same message. Havnt had anyone answer yet after several days due to “staff training day message”. Email address in warranty/leaflet/google comes back as a 3rd party saying I should go to flymo.
I use the online form and after completing form there was no submit button so my message could be sent.
Terrible service.”
2nd review 4/5. Since initial reviews a few things have improved.
To be fair the messenger generated a response to me alongside the email request I sent. The replies were very informative and helpful to enable me get the product back up and running. Whilst the telephone number issue/repeated training message and questions on the internal form are still issues and weren’t good, I have balanced the review and score due to their support in helping me get the power vac 3000 working again.

Robotic mower in warranty broken and no support

Purchased a Flymo robotic lawnmower from Amazon and since a Flymo app update it has stopped working. Amazon were due to replace it and now won’t despite it being in warranty. Flymo have done nothing to help. What’s the point of a warranty if Flymo don’t bother to fix the product. Very expensive purchase and waste of money since there is zero support and zero honouring of the warranty. Don’t know why they would push through app changes which break the product too. Ridiculous

I have received delivered today 23,12, 2024 from Amazon easiFlymo 340r. The battery both will not charge. I am quite disappointed to receive the cordless lawnmower just taken of the box. Batteries will not charge. Maybe I j7st unlucky picking flymo products. They should test there Batteries. There loads of bad reviews regarding Flymo products.
