Shout out to the admin team behind Folksy. I raised a query with them late Sunday evening, I received a helpful response early Monday morning, you can't ask more than that.
Having previous dealings with Etsy and spending weeks trying to get answers on issues that they were causing, makes me even more appreciative of the team behind Folksy.
It might not be on the scale of Etsy but I love the fact its for UK sellers only, but they have buyers worldwide. I also appreciate the fact that Folksy do not take a cut of the shipping unlike there competitor.
It's hard to bring traffic to your own website, so keeping my Folksy shop open alongside my own site and also trying to keep the social media going should hopefully work great for me.
Thanks again Folksy admin, you do a great job.

Really friendly and very helpful

I like the website in gral.
Just a few things to improve:
- The photos could be easier to watch. To pass from one to the next one could be more simple by having a "next arrow" or sliding the finger over the image to go to the next image.
i would like to add articles with the same characteristics but different colour within one category and not adding them as a totally different article.

If you appreciate unique handcrafted item this is a lovely place to shop.
Lots of choice, delivery excellent. Sellers very helpful.

A totally supportive team that give an answer to every question and guide you through the shop setting up process.

I cancelled my subscription with them. They then went and took another months subscription from my bank . Not Happy !

Great place for British crafters to sell. National and international sales which seamlessly combine with your Royal Mail account for easy postage.
Still a little clunky with no stock control at variation level and no month by month statements. There is an overall finance statement but this cannot be printed month by month for accounting purposes.
However, fees are sensible with no uplift on postage unlike the major marketplace, so these quirks can be overlooked.
You will not reach the markets that Etsy will so you will need a good website to allow linking back to your Folksy store.
Overall, I am happy.

If you're a seller on Folksy, you may find that the site itself doesn't do much to generate traffic or orders for your products, despite the monthly fee of £7. While it's an okay platform to list your products, there are better shopping channels available if you're looking to attract more customers.

Great to have a UK based platform to sell & buy from with confidence.

I decided to join up as a seller on Folksy, I am also a seller on Etsy and Ebay,
Folksy site is very hard to use especially when you have a few hundred listings, there are no video functions to add to the adverts, if you want to do a shop sale you have to edit each and every advert, there is no search option to search a specific item in your shop, you have to search through page after page of your adverts to find the one you want.
If you don't promote your own shop sales on social media then you will get very few to no sales, on Etsy if you promote your shop and make a sale from the link you shared then you get the sale for free, Folksy still charge you for promoting your own sales. I made the mistake of paying £75 for the year and i really wish i hadn't bothered. Very dissapointed, I will be sticking to Etsy and Ebay from now on and will be leaving Folksy asap.

I ordered an anniversary card for my daughter and her husband. It was even nicer than I thought it would be. Arrived on time and was totally worth it

Nice and easy to set up as a seller, have pushed my products on many platforms but unfortunately not getting any sale, might just be me but at the moment struggling with i am going to keep going with the costs or go back to selling direct to people face to face.

Easy to list but there is no traffic to the site. No one I speak to knows what Folksy is. Bit of a waste of time.
Maybe in the future it will grow but Etsy is by far superior.

Received my first order through Folksy. Notification and order information were clear and I found the process quite straightforward.

The whole experience from joining, listing and being part of the community has been great.
