Forest Master are an excellent company to deal with. They are UK based, all email enquiries are quickly responded to and if you call them, you’re speaking to someone almost instantly. They have a Technical Team which deal with specific queries/solve issues and share the same attributes. Customer Support is second to none and I’d rate it 10/5, let alone 5/5.
So why an overall 3/5. Well, this is based on my individual dealings with them and my lack of knowledge about what I wanted to buy!

Despite exchanging numerous emails with Forest Master seeking guidance about the best product for my needs, I’ve ultimately ended up with a product that isn’t really suitable for my needs and because of the length of time it took to resolve all the issues, I’ve ended up beyond any return window (although to be fair I’ve not actually asked to return it).

Seeking guidance I mentioned that a directional chute was important, as that would enable me to direct the mulch into a large bag. This was discussed and I paid extra for this part.

Upon receiving the mulcher, I had considerable difficulty putting it together, even when using the link to the YouTube video they sent. It initially appeared I was missing a bolt. I contacted their Technical team (at the weekend and they answered 👍, again a big plus). We discussed and they said they’d arrange for the bolts to be sent out! After a few days they arrived! But I still couldn’t work out how to set up the mulcher. So I contacted the Technical team again. This time I was told, the missing bolt was only needed for the petrol version and they had no idea why I wasn’t told that at the time or why the other bolts were sent out.

Next I tried to add the directional chute. Again encountered great difficulty. So back to technical team and was told the directional chute couldn’t be used with the product I’d bought!

Now, each time I was trying to build it, I was lugging thus very heavy machine out of the shed and having to lift it back in again. I also had to wait for the weather to be fine when I made each attempt!

Consequently, it took me weeks and weeks to set it up! When I finally started using it, I quickly found that I was constantly having to push the leaves down into the entry chute, using a stick, other wise it would clog. Again back to the Technical team who suggested removing a piece of plastic (which was one of the safety features), which I was willing to do.

After using it 3 times I mentioned that without the directional chute it was pain, because I had to constantly move the mulcher backwards in order to move to a clear space for the mulched leaves to exit the machine. Again this meant stopping, switching the machine off and lugging it backwards.

After these 3 uses I got so fed up I resorted back to my old £100 Bosch leaf blower and mulcher which I bought from B&Q 8 years ago. This was much easier to use.

I contacted Forest Master and expressed my disappointment with the product and they advised to take apart the mulcher and put the entrance and exit chutes on an angle which would help.

But by the time I’d been given this advice, all the Autumn leaves had fallen and so I’ve nothing to mulch and won’t have any idea until next Autumn if it’s suitable for me!

The big disappointment is that if I’d been told before purchase (when I was corresponding with Forest Master) all that I’ve subsequently learnt after purchase I’d probably not have bought this!

If you understand munchers (petrol or electric) I suspect you’d find everything about Forest Master, products and support fantastic!

Amazing response with phone call answered immediately and email responces to resolve my query responded to same day - what a welcome surprise and so untypical these days with nightmare phone options and long waits only to arrive in the wrong place
My query was related to changing my mulcher to a wood chipper which in my case did involve removing a wheel to exchange cover plate - removing the end cap was really difficult but subsequent fitting following the forest master video was straightforward

I had a breakdown with my 4/5 year old FM10D 7ton splitter. I phoned the technician help line and they couldn’t have been more helpful. They guided me through the various possible solutions until we finally found the problem. They then posted the new part immediately so that I could get back to work. It’s a great product and so well supported by a great after sales service.

All good here...no problems with delivery or that kind of stuff.
I had researched the chipper and the mulcher fairly well. I wanted a chipper for occasional munching...I thought I could mod the original chipper design to give me that use....I did not want to go down the route of the extra expense of buying the mulcher but that route is going to be needed for most folks if you are going to chip any troublesome materials.
The chipper is really a fresh wood only item .as stated .
Very pleased to say has been running all day on a 25m extension lead with no problems. The small mods I have done would mean it would not meet CE regs but it is only for my use and now works great on wood/reeds/ leaves all manner.. fantastic..happy days.

The ad was misleading didn't get what it said ie air pods with kitchen plate . Just got the fan which seems to work fine as it should because it is twice the price of similar products online

When I was looking for what I was needing they went out of there way to fine it. They were very helpful and polite on the phone.

Arrived quickly and ready to use! Already split all our wood ready for winter and very happy with my new toy… no longer braking my back with an axe…..now saving up for the next toy ! It does say to lubricate log bed before use so it would have been nice if that was supplied with it

Would have been helpful for instruction on log splitter to say when fitting the work bench remove the guides.

Needed a couple of parts for my chipper which arrived the day after ordering them.
Polite knowledgeable staff made the transaction all the easier. A lot of companies would do well to follow suit in this regard.
Overall a great experience and i`ll be looking at other items they sell for the future.

Delivery was fast and convenient. As a courier I have found the Zero Pro Hand Truck to be tremendous, particularly with the platform extension. It is quite heavy, needed greasing, but it replaces both my old trolley and skate in one.

Superb customer service, Knowledgeable and helpfull. They replaced my broken parts using next-day deliveryand the replacement parts were not extortionately priced..... Excellent.
