Sold home inner Melbourne with FSBO couple of years ago for higher than the the agent’s highest range - $1.7m.

Everything was simple, especially setting up the sales website etc.

Decided to use FSBO to lease a high spec architectural town house also inner Melbourne. Same process, same set up , very easy again. Leased the property at good price within 10 days.

If you have a little time and professional in your approach, it’s definitely worth a try.

I found forsalebyowners several years ago and it is my go to site when looking for tenants. The site is easy to navigate. My preferred method is to write the description of my property in a word document and when I'm happy with it I paste it into the appropriate box on the online form. Editing online is also easy. The work can be saved and reworked the next day. I sort photos and have them ready to copy into the form. Once there it's easy to move them around. All communications with the office are friendly and professional. I started receiving responses from potential tenants within the hour. I had only one open house viewing and not everyone who contacted me attended, but many others turned up. I found high quality tenants.

The REA I was going to go with lost my house key and didn't seem to care so I immediately looked at FSBO. The REA was going to charge me over $2000 to advertise with Real estate dot com and Domain. Easy to use reliable website. I use for rentals. Everything clearly explained step by step. Unlike other on line platforms For Sale By Owner gladly offer a contact phone number and amazingly you get a real person and quick to respond.

Recently, and very quickly, I sold our townhouse in Robina using For Sale By Owner's top notch service. After having called a number of companies that provide the facility for owners to sell their property, we settled on For Sale By Owner. Talking with Colin had convinced us that this company understands the needs of owners and how buyers function. I found him authentic and comfortable to deal with. FSBO also provides fair and transparent pricing, without pushy upselling.
I must admit that I am an experienced real estate agent, now retired, so knew what I needed for the market I would be advertising in. FSBO didn't disappoint. Their systems and software are easy to use and the resulting advertising is of a standard comparable with big players in the industry. You choose the level of marketing. I chose to do my own copy and arrange for my photos but FSBO can provide these services, which many sellers avail themselves of. 
To work with you when selling your property, you will need a conveyancer/solicitor. They will prepare the Seller's Disclosure which you are required  to give to prospective buyers, and certainly in order to go to contract. Between the conveyancer and FSBO you will have the tools you need to successfully sell your own home. A smile and a pleasant manner during viewings helps too!
No-one who attended our open home seemed at all concerned that there wasn't an agent present as we managed the open just as an agent would, with a person doing the greeting and another in the home answering questions and pointing out the features of the home.
To make the open home process professional and streamlined, I recommend the use of a QR code which works with Google Forms to capture contact data as prospective buyers enter. It saves buyers milling around while they complete paper contact forms. You can then email the Seller's Disclosure and an offer form to the people who viewed.

All in all. a very productive and enjoyable process selling our home.

I successfully sold my property myself through For Sale By Owner within a few weeks. They were efficient and accommodating throughout the process. Best way to sell your property ever!

Using the For Sale By Owner (FSBO) platform to sell our property was ideal, however … that endorsement is for the system provided to customers to promote their property for sale.

The reality of any such selling strategy is that the vendor/s (seller/s) really need to have some experience with the selling process to get the best result. It doesn’t just happen – you have to work for it. Ply some skills to attract interest, respond to enquiries, negotiate and then lock in an acceptable result. Knowledge of the selling process, diplomacy and flexibility are essential key qualities that one should have before taking on the huge task of selling, what is for most people, their most expensive asset.
FSBO provides a basis for promotion of your property.

It gives you exposure on the primary real estate websites of 'realestate.com' and 'domain.com' which (sadly) dominate our real estate landscape.

The FSBO platform is relatively easy to use in setting up all the necessary preliminary info and then promote your property and to track interest from potential buyers. The ability to update and adjust various elements throughout the selling period is easy to do.

The support and response from the FSBO team to any questions I had (shout out to Paul Mulder) were always prompt, informative and helpful.

Overall, the FSBO program and platform is good and simple to use.

Have sold 2 properties with Sale by owner & wouldn’t do it any other way. Wish I had more properties to sell😊can’t fault the level of service. Thank you😊

Sold my property through For Sale By Owner and found it very easy to use. I saved myself a lot in agent fees and had full control of the process. The sale took time due to the property being in Tasmania and under a wilderness covenant, not the platform. Would definitely recommend for anyone comfortable selling privately.
