We couldn't move forward because our company isn't attractive to investors in the UK. Still, Laurence analysed our business in detail and explained the reasoning. What sets them apart is a tool that enables us to compare our company with other applicants.

They were very courteous and very clear on what they wanted so it was a relatively painless experience.
We were like it appears most others were unsuccessful but they provided good feedback which we found rare in the process of raising funds.

Laurence is very courteous In the world of raising capital, which is not that common, my project wasn’t successful as I’m a little bit to early in the process but Laurence offered valuable feedback which he really doesn’t have to do. I believe it’s the small things that tell you about people and the fact he offers feedback to all unsuccessful applicants speaks volumes about who he is as a person and leads me to believe he is someone I would happily work along side. Really clear and transparent process, plus a quick, candid decision and constructive feedback. Although, it was ultimately a 'no' then the way everything was handled by Laurence and his team was how it should be done. Puts a lot of other investors to shame that they can't even muster a reply or offer anything more than 'lazy' feedback.

Found Capital has an established process which is quick and easy. They also communicate well and provide great feedback. The process isn't as quick as many angel syndicate groups in the US but is about the same length as most UK angel groups. Definitely worth having a conversation with if you're raising an angel round.

Laurence and his team are everything you’d want from a prospective early stage investor. They have a clear process, communicate frequently, spend a huge amount of time assessing the opportunity, ask very good questions and inform themselves with external experts to augment their own expertise.
