Personal Review of my Gaggia Direct UK Experience June 2026
I recently had the pleasure of purchasing a coffee machine from Gaggia Direct UK, and I must say, the experience was top-notch. From the very beginning, their customer service was exceptional. Nik Bailey, in particular, provided tailored advice that made me feel valued as a customer. Rather than pushing for the most expensive option, he took the time to understand my needs and guided me towards the perfect fit. His knowledge about the machines, especially the new "over ice" option available on the Magenta, demonstrated the genuine care and attention to detail that Gaggia Direct prides itself on. They truly are outstanding ambassadors for the Gaggia brand in the UK and Ireland.
On the second note, I am absolutely thrilled with my Gaggia Magenta. The addition of the over ice coffee option is a game changer! The machine is well-built, intuitive to use, and easy to clean, which is a huge advantage for my busy lifestyle. Plus, it has a neat footprint that fits perfectly on my kitchen worktop. After my experience and the quality of this machine, I am now a loyal customer of Gaggia Direct, and I look forward to enjoying many years of great coffee.

Being Italian the Gaggia coffee machines are excellent quality and easy to use. My current machine is now quite old and out of service with a grinder issue. I had a zoom call with Gaggia UK who advised it would be more cost effective due to the age and fault to purchase a new machine. Spent some time with Tony and David on the call, who spent time giving me tips and advice for care (I live in a hard water area). They helped me to select and purchase my replacement machine, with a returning customer discount. Brilliant service and care from both of them. Highly recommend UK Gaggia!

Utterly superb customer service
I had a query about my Gaggia Accademia which I purchased from Gaggia UK, and hopped on to the company's website for a live chat. The operator there suggested I Zoom with their tech team, and I logged straight on - and was speaking to a knowledgeable human being within seconds. I had a fascinating conversation and learned quite a bit about Italian coffee, my machine, and I'd almost say the meaning of life.
Seriously - this was superb customer service, and it made me really glad I had bought my machine from this company and not from a soulless online conglomerate retailer.

Despite regularly descaling my Gaggia Classic machine (bought in 2019 and my second in maybe 15 years) this time the blockage was unresolvable. Looking at the price of a new one (£549) I sent an email to Raj inquiring about a possible repair. His prompt and very helpful reply not only offered guidance about unblocking the solenoid, he also sent a link to a how-to-sort-it video! That was perfect for my husband to follow and I am now the very happy owner of a totally functioning coffee machine once again! What brilliant, friendly and helpful aftersales support... Top marks!

Took months to decide on what machine to buy. I read all the reviews and Gaggia was rated as fabulous for customer service. Today I had to phone them for a replacement part. I was directed to a zoom call, I spoke with Danny who could see exactly what was needed. Part ordered and on its way to me. This has to be the best support I have ever had. Well done Gaggia direct. Gaggic Classic – don't buy it
The Gaggia classic is completely useless, especially if you are a novice. Six months ago I paid for it to be professionally cleaned and now it's broken again even though I use bottled water and have descaled it. The only option is to take it apart to clean it, which seems ridiculous for a home coffee machine, or send it for an expensive service yet again. Don't buy this machine.

First class all round
After reviewing countless bean-to-cup coffee makers, we took the plunge and purchased the Gaggia Accademia. And we couldn’t be more pleased! The machine looks incredible and the coffee is superb. Importantly, the customer service is first class! Raj went above and beyond to help with an issue we had with the fascia and within 24 hours, we had a new machine. Service like that generates customer loyalty. If you’re looking for quality coffee and quality service, Gaggia is the place to be!
Horrible reliability and build quality
Horrible reliability and build quality, machine starting flaking via the boiler. I learned this was a known defect, yet the company failed to resolve the issue and ended ghosting me.
I waited months over months for a new boiler to arrive, then after repair the machine came PACKED with new issues - leakage and others. Company basically said “your problem” and left me to cope on my own.
Such a disappointment. Please, stay away from them and buy a more serious brand! Never a Gaggia!
To answer the feedback by Gaggia: bought in Israel, but still the same brand and the Gaggia service. Model is the Classic evo pro, I believe (the model with the known boiler flaking issue).

Fantastic Service
I bought a Gaggia Classic from this company two and a half years ago, so it is way out of warranty. The actual purchase experience was good, the machine arrived very quickly. Last week, the handle on the portafilter broke, and they voluntarily sent my a complete new portafilter which arrived within 3 working days.

These guys are incredible. I bought my Gaggia machine 5 years ago from them and they’re still providing an outstanding service answering questions from me about how to maintain it properly. The fact you can just click a zoom link and instantly get through to a human to speak to and get expert advice is unmatched.
If you’re thinking about buying any other coffee machine from any other supplier don’t.
