Great company, superb products

My partner and I have bought the Hera dresser and the Serena cot with all the extensions along with the baby changing tray and fitted mattress sheets. We love the products, they are both very stylish and extremely well made along with being ethically made.

Customer service has been second to none (Karl especially went the extra mile to help me with the assembly of the crib via a video call).

I highly recommend Gaia baby for being a top notch company!

A Hera Dresser and excellent customer service

From the onset of our business with Gaia Baby we found a professional, dedicated team who go far and long to deliver customer satisfaction.

Even before buying, Gaia Baby's team assisted us with using a (recently) expired voucher. Then the unthinkable happened when the logistics firm failed to bring a box of three on the set.

Thankfully Karl swiftly setup a new shipment, coordinated it with shipping our baby carrier too, and we had the dresser assembled over the following weekend.

Assembly was just easy and the quality of materials and construction visible throughout.

Customer service exceeded my expectations

I needed a Hera bedside crib upgrade kit which wasn’t currently available in the country where I live. Customer service was able to source it for me from a warehouse in Ireland. I appreciate their help in getting me the upgrade kit. Their efforts exceeded my expectations!

My Gaia Hera chair is great

My Gaia Hera chair is great, easy to assemble, very sturdy and stylish. The customer service is also very good, emails are answered swiftly and they are very helpful. I had to return a crib (because a family member bought me one at the same time!). They made this really easy.

Bad quality and customer service

I contacted them about a Hera crib that arrived with scuffs, scratches, and boot marks, not in new condition with defects, gave them pictures with all details. Got downright ignored.

Update: Since writing this review the Gaia team has got in touch has helped to resolve things. There was simply a technical error in communication.

We ordered the Serena dresser and Hera…

We ordered the Serena dresser and Hera cot. The dresser had no online video instructions, the written instructions were incorrect. For the premium price it was very disappointing. Now our dresser has a gap because the holes don’t match up for you to tighten it all together.
You could contact cool kids Australia for assistance but they’re very unhelpful. Bare minimum effort. I would not recommend it to anyone. It’s such a precious time before your baby arrives and it’s stressed us out and in the end we just have to deal with what we have. Order from a company that you can contact and be more helpful.

I purchased 2 Serena cot beds for my…

I purchased 2 Serena cot beds for my twins. They slept in one together for the first few months before moving into their own. It is a beautiful cot and a nice mid size that meant we could fit two into a small bedroom and the twins slept in them happily until just before they started school. They were robust! Stood up to lots of climbing! Almost felt a bit sad to take them apart - baby bed era is over!!!

Rocking chair collapsed underneath mum…

Rocking chair collapsed underneath mum and baby whilst feeding.
It was assembled correctly, as per the instructions. All screws were utilised.
Instead of providing a refund, the company refused, offering a replacement instead. Obviously, after it collapsed underneath my wife and baby, I didn't want a replacement, so told them not to bother sending. They sent it anyway, so when it arrived we left it out for a council collection with the broken chair.

Unexpected personal service like no other

After purchasing a Hera dresser that had manufacturing errors, we complained, and the owner, Karl, contacted us directly to rectify it. He came personally (driving two and a half hours to our home) to replace the defective pieces and finished putting it together for us. He even returned 4 months later to build a separate cot for us, replacing the wood pieces so that it matched the colour of our dresser exactly. It's the kind of personal service that you just don't expect from businesses anymore. Aside from the faults with our first purchase, the quality of the items is very good. Sturdy, heavy pieces of quality wood. Our nursery looks lovely, and anyone who sees it asks where we got our furniture from. Thank you, Karl. Very much appreciate everything you've done for us.

Beautiful and solid!

The highest quality and most stylish nursery furniture I’ve ever seen. I have visited many baby shows and this stood out to me as exceptional! MDF cheap tat can fall apart in 6 months but Gaia’s cots and rockers are all constructed with real solid timber and are built to last! Perhaps your kid’s Grandkids will be sleeping in these lovely cots someday! 😄

The perfect furniture to compliment any beautiful nursery!

Highly recommend!

Great customer service

I recently purchased a cot from Gaia Baby and flat pack furniture is definitely not my forté. The Gaia Baby team could not have been more helpful guiding me through the instructions and helping with something that could’ve been so stressful! The cot is really study and you can tell is made well. Would highly recommend Gaia Baby to anyone.

Me and my wife purchased the Gaia…

Me and my wife purchased the Gaia rocker and Serena dresser for my nursery and couldn’t be happier. Everything is so slick and the quality is outstanding. On top of that the customer service was impeccable, Peter from Gaia delivered and set everything up for us for no expense. The guys at gaia are super helpful and there is nothing they won’t do for you. So happy with our decision!

Do not buy from this company

Do not buy from this company. They keep very little stock, and do not clearly state on their website when items have a long lead time. I purchased a nursing chair which stated a 2 week lead time and the payment was accepted. The next day they said they have no stock so I requested they change it to another chair. They said they could do this but then came back with the fact the item is not even in the country and the container is ‘expected end of March or April’. I find it unacceptable that they take money for products they know they don’t have it stock. I’m awaiting my refund and in the mean time have purchased an equivalent chair for cheaper from a well known and reliable retailer and would advise others to do the same if they want peace of mind they will receive the items.

Looking back on your order and correspondence I can see that the footstool was out of stock on our website at your time of purchase, but an oversight meant the bundle was still available and unfortunately allowed you complete your purchase for the set. To fully reassure you, as soon it became known that the bundle was incorrectly available it was corrected and updated to note the applicable lead time. We would never intentionally want to mis-lead you or any potential customers and do strive to have clear an accurate lead time available at the point of order if something is out of stock.

On the day your order was placed I can see our customer care team noted the discrepancy and reached out to inform you and offered alternatives. I know that we have already processed your refund however we would love to try turn your experience around and try find an available alternative for you if you are still yet to purchase another Rocking Chair and Footstool - if you would like us to get back in touch with some available options, please do let us know.

Faulty Product and Poor Resolution – A Disappointing Experience- Hera nursing chair

Our experience with the Hera Baby Chair has been extremely frustrating and disappointing, despite the staff at Gaia Baby, including Karl, being pleasant and initially helpful.

The chair arrived faulty, and while we tried to resolve the issue with replacement parts, these too were defective, leaving us with no confidence in the product’s safety or quality. This was especially concerning as the chair broke while we were nursing our newborn—thankfully, no one was harmed, but it could have been much worse.

Karl initially offered a refund and even volunteered to assemble the chair himself. While this gesture was appreciated, it felt inappropriate for the owner to take on such a role, so we paid someone else to do it. Unfortunately, given the product’s ongoing faults, this turned out to be a complete waste of money. Despite the ordeal, a refund was ultimately refused, which has left us feeling let down.

It’s a real shame, as we like Gaia Baby’s designs and would have loved to purchase other items from them. However, after this experience, we simply can’t trust the brand. We hope Gaia Baby reflects on this and improves both their product quality and their handling of issues. Customers deserve better.

UPDATED REVIEW - Customer service apologised

**UPDATE** I have now received a call from customer service apologising for the confusion and the missed email.

Lovely cot but unfortunately I got sent the wrong colour. I’ve tried contacting customer service which didn’t reply and they haven’t published my two star review on their website. I’m very disappointed with their customer service and it is a shame because the products are nice. Also their delivery partner took almost 3 weeks to deliver the parcels, which takes the purchase outside of their return policy.
