On Friday 08.05.’26 I called to make an appointment but was redirected to the website which was not an issue at all to navigate. Within 5mins I had logged on, summarised my reason for needing a face to face appointment with Dr Lynsey and that was basically the process completed.
Claire, one of receptionist’s / care advisors phoned me soon after with an appointment for Dr Lynsey at 11am, which was very suitable plus Claire is a very familiar voice to myself, she is always very pleasant, professional and willing to assist with any queries that I may have.
My appointment with Dr Lynsey went very well. I felt he explained my symptoms to me very concisely. I appreciated that he took the time for myself to explain what I had been experiencing regarding my health.
I have seen Dr Lynsey a few times now and I feel we have built a good rapport and understanding. In future I would always, if possible, make my appointments to see Dr Lynsey.

I’ve been a patient in my practice for nearly 60 years . Lots of doctors have came & went but the treatment here is second to none . I always feel I’m being listened to and that’s so important , I will never leave this practice. All the staff are so good and so helpful .
Keep doing what you are doing … it works

Terrible service.. I got to my appointment some minutes late and couldn’t do my test even though I explained that I dropped at the wrong bus stop and had to walk about 20 minutes down to the center because I’m new around here and lost my way.. please be kind to immigrants and black people especially.. make some accommodations for us! Life happens! Things happen! It’s already hard getting an NHS appointment! Sucks to have a health issue in Glasgow.

Booking system is a nightmare. Keep getting told they are fully booked for that day, next day and the week later, and told to phone back, you phone back and get same result. Ask for a nurse and they are fully booked as well and told to phone back for a nurses appt. . You call at 8.30 on the dot and still can’t get an appointment that day with a doctor. The system is broken and seriously messes with your mental health. People are queuing at the front desk too so what chance do you have. The old system when the surgery was at shawpark was a lot better. At least when you phoned you could get an appointment booked in. The receptionists don’t help with their attitude. When you do get an appointment after months of trying the Doctors have all been lovely and very professional. Just a pity about the reception/booking service.

Looks like you're going to give us dates to heaven. You can be nice and if you don't have a date say so politely.
It feels like you're doing a job you hate.
the reception must take courses in politeness and customer service.

Husband and I have been patients with Gairbraid Practice for 21years.
Staff have always been very helpful and professional at all times, even through COVID.
Would highly recommend this practice.

I don't have anything against the practice, nurses and GP's are lovely and professional but some of the receptionist are super rude and hard to tolerate the attitude....they should not work in this environment if they can't handle patients and problems. clearly you don't go to the GP for fun.... we all have enough problems and noone needs a so unwelcoming and rude receptionist. no help at all.

Sadly useless for mental health.I'm suffering from crazy anxiety/panic attacks.Went to see one doctor in practise. She said ..Come off booze to see a psychiatrist. Deal.Came off booze. After one month off booze. Went back to get the referral. Was I'll.New doctor said ..No won't do you any good...Went back again to see yet another doctor in practise.. I'm on a drug for anxiety,depression etc.She asked ..would increasing the dose help you.I replied No..Went back to see another doctor in practise... Let's increase the drug and as you have crippling insomnia. If increase is no good.Come back and see if we can give you something to help you sleep.Month later.I was I'll again and no sleep for 3 days.Seen year another doctor. Was hard to even speak.Told her I was in to get something to help me sleep.She refused. I lost my temper and exploded verbally.Ordered out if appointment. Zero communication between doctors. Zero empathy, Zero care like all NHS gps.Get you out of the door as quick as possible regardless of what previous doctor said. Sadly typical NHS gps.They are all the same
