I ordered optical frames from GAST's online store and, from the very beginning, the experience stood out in every way.
The quality of the frames speaks for itself. But what truly made the difference was the customer service, specifically Elena, who handled my case with a level of care and dedication that is extremely rare, especially for a brand new customer.
I first contacted GAST before even placing the order. My situation was genuinely complex: the recipient would be spending only a few hours in Lisbon with no fixed address, which made a standard home delivery completely unviable. From that very first message, Elena worked with me to find a solution that most companies would have simply declined.
At no point during the entire process was the order value ever mentioned or taken into consideration. GAST only learned what I had actually purchased after I completed the order.
This tells me something important: whether I had bought one frame or three, the care and commitment to finding a solution would have been exactly the same.
The solution required GAST to go well outside their standard process: switch their entire delivery courier to a different provider, address the package to a specific Access Point, and hold the order to dispatch it on a precise date to ensure the parcel would arrive within the collection window. Elena handled every single detail with patience, clarity, and genuine commitment. Her responses were always prompt and attentive. She never made me feel like an inconvenience for asking something unusual. She simply listened, understood, and made it work.
There is something that distinguishes truly great brands from merely good ones: it is not the product alone, but the people behind it. GAST exceeds in both.
I came to GAST because of the reputation for quality. I will stay because of the Brand Values.

I own a pair of glasses optic frame & suns from this brand and I can honestly say that they are one of the best out there when it comes to quality with a price that won't break you bank! 10/10 would reccomend!

I ordered multiple glasses. From those I picked one and returned the rest. Due to the fact that you have to pay for the return yourself I recorded the packing of the items to have evidence.
Once the return was assessed by Gast, I found myself surprised that they didn't register one of the returned glasses which was in the package along with the rest.
Upon asking them about it, they told me they couldn't find the pair in the box which can't possibly be unless there was damage to the package. After asking them to check the packages again and look for the damage to the package, they customer service started ignoring me.
Eventually, they didn't return the amount from that one pair of glasses which they deemed to be missing even though there is physical proof that everything was packed.
Very disappointed with the customer service and I found myself having to involve PayPal insurance service.
Would never buy again, especially multiple glasses when there's obvious cheating of customers.

I have been trying to contact customer service regarding my refund for more than a month now with over 5 emails and have yet to receive a reply. Seems like you can't talk to anyone with any help which is disappointing as this brand was recommended online. Doesn't help that I have spent $60 to ship it back for the return. Quite disappointing.

I was subjected to controlling and inappropriate behavior by the employer, including unprofessional comments made even in the presence of colleagues. Some actions created a stressful and tense atmosphere.
Some colleagues made disrespectful remarks, treated me disrespectfully, and displayed uncooperative behavior, which contributed to an unpleasant work environment.
Horrendous customer service. Non-existent service after EIGHT emails asking for help. Still no response.
In April, I ordered several pairs of glasses to try them on and see what I liked. I kept one pair and returned the others. Service was helpful until this point.
I spent $75 to send the other pairs back to Italy from the US. It was at this point that customer service stopped responding to anything. The glasses sat for 3 MONTHS in the Italian post office. In spite of several emails pointing this out, Gast neither responded, nor picked up the items. The Italian post office is now saying these are unclaimed property and that they may send them back to me.
Unbelievable that they are operating a business like this. I would highly recommend you avoid them - the glasses are good quality, but if you need to return them, expect to spend a ton on shipping and not get your money back. I have opened a dispute with my credit card company because I returned everything within the return window and abided by the refund policy, but Gast simply disappeared from the situation all together.

I had an address problem with one of my two orders and GAST customer service solved it in 24 hours. I ordered Sirio optical frame, I also got Astro Gold sunglasses but I sent it back because I figured out I prefer the one with light violet lenses. Return was easy, got the refund after 5 days. Gast is the must have brand, no one has its quality at this price point! Great service and delivery!

Horrible customer service.
I made an order on the 06.07.
After no communications after a week, I wrote them an email asking about the status. I never received an answer, but the order status was updated with a UPS tracking number.
The UPS tracking has not updated in a month and is idle on:
Estimated delivery
UPS doesn’t have possession of the package yet. Estimated delivery date will be available as soon as we get the package."
I again reached out to multiple email adresses, but again, never received a communication nor an update on the order.
Just wrote them another mail, no idea what to do next. Will probably check with my bank to see how I can cancel/refund this.

These frames are incredible! I got the Clay in grey acetate. Bold, chunky, I've never had glasses like this and decided to take a chance on Gast and this kind of style and I am so happy that I did. It gives a very assertive and confident look.
I've been perusing local optical shops for a while now and I'd have to dish out $350+ to get a frame of this quality. But more than that, there are no designs quite like this! Great artistry, craftsmanship, and a fantastic price. I'll be back for more.
Also, it seems like most of the negative reviews didn't read Gast's very clear policies. If you can't wait a little while for an international order, or put a little effort in if you need to return them, then that's on you. You're ordering from an Italian designer, not a soulless megacorp with overnight shipping and instant email response.

Tried to return within 14 days of physically receiving the order, flat out denied. Places their return policy above EU laws. Don't buy unless you are keeping everything, cause they handle returns very poorly.
