worst customer service and gift card experience ever

Merry Christmas to all and thankyou to the ones who responded, we will get this done, we will not let them get away with this. Class Action all the way.

**** Before reading i would like anyone who has had the same thing happen contact me if you are interested in a class action suit aginst this scam company. I will prove that they had knowledge of what was going on and that it was a internal problem. They ruined my christmas so i want them to pay for the problems they cause people and think they can get away with. worst experience I had two gift cards purchased from this company and one of them the money was taken out within a hour after I bought it and the other one the funds I had left were drained over night. I cant get a hold of anyone because they just put you on hold. This is crazy the total taken was around $300. I think it has to be someone in the company doing this, because how else would they know when the card was purchased , how much was on it exactly and also the security code. It's only obvious it has to be someone working at this company. They have to have one of the worst customer service ever. Do not buy this companies gift card you will be hustled.

Recieved generated email from company talking B.S., this company is a fraud stay clear of them . Out of three gift card i recieved i was only able to use one and had problems using at different stores. I cant believe this company conducts buisines this way, they know it has to be a internal problem but still allow it to continue, Now they want me to submit more docs after they said i wouldnt have to because they driooed the ball on this claim. Recieved response back from company whicvh i have already sent them this same info. So thats how muc h they pay attention. This company is garbage, their has to be some way to prove that this company had knowledge that someone at their company has been draining these cards but still allow it to happen so that we may be able to get a class action suit going against them for their involvement int this since they have just been ignoring the problem. because come on how ould someone know when my card was nloaded and exactly how much to drain and the as you look throught the reviews most peoples cards are being drained with one penny left. Which means it has to be someone at the company who has acess to security codes and when cards are activated and for how much. This company is garbage and has no respect for people because look at what they do during the holidays.

We revived a gift card from our boss as a bonus $150 only to find out someone stole $120 before it was even used. Cannot get someone on the phone and they say there is a chat button on their website, but we cannot find one anywhere. Horrible experience.

Someone made a scam purchase on my card. Left me with 1 cent on my card!

I received a visa gift card on Black Friday as a gift. I activated it on the website on the back of the card on the same day. The next day, there was a $99.99 charge, and now I'm left with 1 cent on the card. I'm beyond livid.

***Updated to say that NO ONE from this company has contacted me. So you're lying when you said you tried to.

***Updated to say if you really think I am going to send you a selfie of me holding my driver's license, you must be insane. Your gift cards are hacked. Do you really think I would send you a picture of me holding my license so that can get hacked too? Get a grip!

My gift card was hacked.

My gift card was given to me as a gift. I activated the card and tried to use it on two different occasions and the card was declined both times. The balance was $200.00. Today I checked the balance, and it is $0.25.
I called the customer service number on the back of the card, and it is just automated and does not give the option for a hacked card. I went on their website and could not find any help. I tried their chat, and it was of no use at all, it said they left the room.
I do not recommend buying this card for anyone.

The company stand behind their product and help if something goes wrong.

I bought a $200 card with this company and when I activated it someone, through phishing, stole the full amount and proceeded to purchase items from Victoria Secret. I called the company and they immediately started contacting me and taking care of my case.
I sent proof of the receipt of the card purchased and a photo of the physical card etc… After a few back and forth emails, the company apologized, stood behind their product and they refunded me the full amount of the card originally purchased.

Predatory Company!!!

My daughter bought me a $60 gift card and all of the money was stolen from it! My story is the same as everyone else. I checked the balance by phone and confirmed there was $60 on the card. I tried using the gift card and it wouldn't work so then I went to the website on the back of the card and registered the card thinking that was the issue. Then I check my balance and I am told it only has $0.01! I called and was told they would send me an email requesting more info. I never got any email. They also told me it would take 30 to 90 days to review my case. Now I am seeing all of these bad reviews and realizing that this company is just a big money laundering racket.

I received a Mastercard gift card for…a gift.

I received a Mastercard gift card for $200. I went to use it and the store said there wasn't enough money on it for my purchase. I called the number on back of card and I got a recording telling me to go to web site to check balance. Could never get web site to work. So I called the number on back of card again and finally got to talk to a human. He said I had a balance of a little over a dollar. I had never used card. Said a purchase was made in July for a little over $199. He said said purchase was still pending but he could not tell me who it was made to or where it was made from So evidently my money was stoen off of my gift card before I even received it.

Fraudulent transactions

Fraudulent transactions. There is a fake website that is pretending to be this GiftCardMall and it is taking the card balances, expiration date, and card number and security number and draining the account with fraudulent transactions. The company was contacted to freeze block the card to prevent the 'pending' transactions from being withdrawn. I sent the company a copy of the prepaid receipt proof of purchase, copy of card front and reverse side, and I filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and sent copy to them, along with the fake website that they need to shut down. They said they would send a refund on a replacement card, but have not yet done it. They asked for my ID which is private information and should not be sent to email because of potential ID theft. There are federal laws that protect the home address, date of birth, state license number and should not be sent to unknown emails or people to prevent abuse of ID information. The company needs to shut down. The lack of card security, lack of card balance theft by hackers and false transaction is reason that people need to be aware and not buy gift cards. DO NOT BUY, do not use them. Instead buy money order's or cashier's checks to use as gifts. I need to also file a report with the California Attorney General since the headquarters for the Gift Card is in California. I just need my $100 plus the tax back. Will never recommend this product.

Why am I going to send scammers MORE personal information? Worthless piece of plastic…

Bought a $50 gift card and it was declined the first time I used it. Looked at the transaction history and there was already a charge on it! Leaving me a whopping $0.71 left to splurge on. So I did what all of us would do, call customer service to complain. They couldn’t have cared less. Oh sure they filed a “dispute’ like I was angry my fries were cold and didn’t feel right about paying.,not treating it like someone had basically stolen my $50 like had actually happened. I was informed in 7-10 they would let me know what their decision was…….ridiculous. I can promise you I will never in my life again buy one of their worthless pieces of plastic. If they would invest the Extra funds into some training for the customer service reps on how to be more empathetic it would go a long ways. But to first experience the shock of my newly purchased $50 gift card having been already used, then the cold uninterested customer service rep it was just a poor experience all the way around. Lesson learned

We purchased a $200 Visa gift card for…

We purchased a $200 Visa gift card for our granddaughter to use while at a theme park.
We registered the card per the card instructions and checked the balance at that time. The next day when she tried to make a purchase she was told the balance on the card was only .05 cents. Reading through the hundreds of complaints this seems to be the most glaring detail. We contacted their customer service department (which is a complete joke) and spoke with 2 different reps before getting a "manager". We were informed that our names were not associated with the card number and account that we purchased and have proof of. They sent email from Blackhawk Network Services and we sent them pictures of the physical gift card (front and back), the copy of the store receipt showing the activation, and a picture of my wife (the purchaser) holding her drivers license. Looking online there are thousands of complaints against this company. Really not expecting to be refunded after seeing all the negative reviews but will update if it is. Filing fraud charges with our credit card company that we used to purchase this gift card as well. And will be contacting the State Attorney Generals office tomorrow.

Save Your Money

Received a $100 e-gift card but when I tried to redeem it, I was directed to a page that read “Page Not Found”. Any phone number I tried to call sent me somewhere else where I was also not helped. I spent an hour trying to figure this out before I gave up. Might as well set your money on fire before you purchase from this company.

10/20/24 Update:
I received a request from the company to submit my order number for investigation. As I stated in my review, and to numerous “customer service” representatives, I only have an email stating my work team sent me a gift card. When I click on the link to redeem, the page reads “Page Not Found’ so I do not have an order number. I asked to forward the email to Customer Service representatives several times.

I purchased a $100 gift card yesterday

I purchased a $100 gift card yesterday. My mother went to activate and only .41 cents left on card. 10 minutes after purchase a $99.58 purchase made. Tried website - kept saying invalid sight. Called number customer service rep states address and information don't make records for card. Stated they would investigate and let me know. Would not give me a ref #. Also stated email would be send email associated with card. Explained that information is not mine. She then stated that they have use information in system. So person who stole would get the replacement card also? They make no sense.

Purchased a giftcard online, it is insane-- it shows an image of the card, and on the card is this information 'check balance at www. mcgift.giftcardmall .com'

Once you use it, the card's balance is immediately transferred to a third party, and usually instantly used.

Money stolen from me as soon as I registered card

Purchased $100 gift card today and registered it for online use. When I tried to use it purchase was declined so I checked the transactions and there is a $90 charge for Dean's auto sales in Augusta Georgia. This is not the first time this has happened either, I had a previous gift card that had multiple google play and other charges on it for small amounts.. I dont even have google play and I definitely DO NOT live in augusta Georgia. Coming here now and seeing all these reviews of the same thing is very scary to think about how much money they have scammed people out of over the years, and how they can continue to be able to do this with no repercussions. And of course you call and they say there is nothing they can do to help you until charges clear which could take 7-10 days and if you are somehow able to dispute the charges then it could take another 60 days, and sometimes you have to wait for the charges to be cleared for 28 days before filing dispute.. Why should I have to wait so long to get my money back that was stolen from me.

How can Staples advertise and sell the Mastercard gift card and then when they do not work, read you the fine print that they are nonrefundable?
The number provided is an automated line and of no assistance.
