Terrible company, completely dishonest.

tl;dr -- they didn't reconcile my books for nearly half a year even though they were getting paid, then when I called them out on it, rushed through to catch up (but left things out), and closed my account, with no refund offered.

I had simple tasks for them -- just reconcile my accounts, and occasionally answer QBO questions. It would often take them one to two months to answer the questions, and while they would eventually get there, these were questions I needed answered now, not in two months.

At some point I opened my QBO audit logs to discover that they hadn't been in for months. I challenged them on it and they lied to me that I couldn't see where they logged in, but they'd be happy to show me -- but never set up that call to "show me".

Finally I dug deeper and found that most of my accounts hadn't been reconciled in MONTHS, and I challenged them again. They ranted at me that they "will not stand for allegations of fraud!" (their word, not mine!) and would be wrapping up my books and closing my account.

They did six months work in about 90 minutes, and closed my account. In the end, I paid $3,486 for about three to five hours of actual work, and when I just sat down to reconcile on my own… found that the most complicated account hadn't been reconciled in three months. So I still have to do that one myself.

They are liars, and fraudsters. Pure and simple. Do NOT sign up with them.

I turned my books over to them for less than a year. They promised monthly reports, proper reconciliations, and accurate bookkeeping. But when I finally looked, nothing had been done. What little they did was full of errors — transactions were miscategorized, and accounts were set up incorrectly. When I reached out about over $25,000 in uncategorized sales, no one even responded.

DO NOT USE THIS FIRM. They will take your money and then forget about you, work at snails pace, mess up your books and then never fix their basic incompetent mistakes documented over and over for months. 16 month horrible experience only now to unscramble the mess they made.

Avoid at All Costs – A Complete Scam!

Our company hired GotAccountants.com for bookkeeping setup and advisory services, expecting professionalism and expertise. Instead, we experienced one of the worst business dealings imaginable. This company is nothing more than a scam, run by just two incompetent individuals—Albert and Cali—who pretend to have a full team.

From the beginning, they misrepresented their capabilities, claiming they could handle complex financials. However, after reviewing our QuickBooks audit log, we discovered they barely put in any time on our books. Despite paying them $18,323 for 4 quarters work, all they did was randomly click through transactions, create completely incorrect journal entries, and misclassify expenses. Their "work" was nothing more than sloppy, mass-clicking actions to make it appear as though they had done something.

Key Issues We Experienced:
- False Claims of Expertise: They promised to properly set up and manage our books but failed to categorize even the most basic transactions. Imagine classifying Zoom and utilities as office supplies or completely disregarding tax liabilities on the balance sheet. Imagine payroll being added under travel expenses!

- Lack of Effort & Transparency: They avoided Zoom calls when we requested clarifications and got defensive when asked to explain their work. A professional firm should have no problem discussing their own work.

- Misleading Statements About Work Done: After just one month of working on our books, they falsely claimed to have completed an entire year’s worth of financials, yet nothing was correct just to keep the money. When confronted, they essentially said whether you like it or not, we’re done here.

- High-Pressure Payment Demands: Albert pressures clients to prepay for the entire project, claiming they have a "team" working behind the scenes that needs to get paid. The truth? There is no team—just him and Cali. They are desperate for cash and will take your money upfront, knowing they can’t deliver. Please make sure you do not do the same mistake we did. Ensure you pay them if anything day by day not even month by month.

Final Verdict: Stay Away
If your business involves more than selling T-shirts on TikTok, DO NOT hire them—they do not have the skills to handle real accounting. They will scam you by promising services they cannot deliver, overcharging you, and disappearing when you ask questions.

- My advice: If you are considering working with them, DO NOT prepay for more than one month. Test their services first, and you will quickly see how unqualified they are. I didnt believe the reviews at first and here i am adding 1more testifying to their incompetence.

Save yourself the financial loss and frustration. Go with a real accounting firm, not these fraudsters. They will mass click things and say we're finished, take the money and its gone.
