The Gold Seal team has created a very thorough and engaging online course. The support staff was extremely helpful and patient while I was trying to grasp difficult concepts. I would highly recommend Gold Seal for anyone with a desire to obtain their private pilots certificate.

Interactive, easy to understand, and honestly a great product. The only cons are that there were sometimes some technical issues (can't download test PDF, or notes downloading incorrectly.) Other than that, I would have different variations on quizzes (Same questions but different numbers) so it is harder to memorize specific questions, and know the process behind it. The last thing I could add is to incorporate an electronic E6B flight computer into the training, as I feel that is a step towards our future. Overall, this is better than most online Ground Schools I could find on the Internet. Would recommend, especially for the price!

I’m a flight instructor, and I recommend Gold Seal Online Ground School to all my students. It’s easy to use, and the lessons are clear and straightforward. It helps my students really understand the material and get ready for the FAA written exam. I’ve seen good results, and it makes my job easier knowing they’re getting solid prep. I've been asking my students to use Gold Seal for several years with nary a problem and a near-perfect pass rate. One reason: their InstructorView, which lets me look in on each student's progress and help him or her with any problems immediately. Currently, Gold Seal is tops for Private and Instrument in part because of the fresh videos, animation and interactivity; they have a new Commercial course on the way.

The other thing I should mention is the plethora of information and resources all their courses have. I ask my students to at least look at all the extra resources, so they'll know the value of each one.

I just passed my written yesterday thanks to Gold Seal! I had tried two other schools previously and I just didn’t feel like it flowed and built upon each lesson. Gold seal was the complete opposite.

What did I like the most? Quizzes after most lessons to ensure I had grasped the concepts and understanding of each lesson, additional sources in each lesson for further reference and review, as well as the interactive videos.

For a couple recommendations it would be nice to be able to download the flash cards as well as have a way to review the missed questions in the practice exams section instead of having to scroll past all the ones that were correct. Maybe have the missed ones accessible at the top when reviewed??

All in all I would highly recommend Gold Seal to anyone that is looking for an online course! I will plan to use the IFR school as soon as I finish my PPL.

I used Gold seal for my IR and I must say I enjoyed everything about it, the content is up to date and easy to understand. Those are not two words you will not hear in instrument training, it made things more manageable. I have previously used other training and it can put you to sleep really fast

Gold seal was nothing but short of exceptional. I enrolled in the ground school for my instrument rating after a “test drive” of the course, thanks to them for making that available. The course was great and easy to learn. Even the “boring subjects” were not so boring thanks to GS. I also purchased a supplement test bank course, to try and help with the practice test aspect. I got through the gold seal course and had then realized I had wasted my money on the supplement. Gold Seal had provided such a good learning environment for me that I had truly learned the material, rather than just rote memorization like some courses. I took a few practice tests on the other course and had realized I didn’t need it, and I was more than ready for the test. I had scheduled my exam for a few days later, went in and passed my IRA Written with an 88. Thanks Gold Seal, your course was excellent and I will recommend it to anyone.

Great course to learn your basics for your PPL! Highly recommended!…….IFR course loading!

Just completed the IFR program. Great interactive and very well articulated program! My only regret is not using Gold Seal for PPL. I completed 2 other IFR programs Sporty's and Flight Insight prior to this one. This program was far superior to the others IMO.

Was making Weight and Balance way to hard in my own head, after being frustrated and going in circles. Finally reached out for help.
Low and behold its, Mr. Russell Still "Online instructor" who picks up the help line phone #.
In less than a half hour, the charts and math all made sense.
Was just a very nice man. Knowing someone's on your side makes a difference.

Ive used both their private and instrument courses and they are the best option out of all the courses I have found. Super helpful. Would recommend!

The program is very well put together and almost “over-built” for simple knowledge test readiness (which is NOT a bad thing!) The modules are short, sweet, and to the point and easy to complete as time allows. Quiz and test questions are a great representation of what you’ll be asked and the knowledge test.

Gold Seal should be Platinum Seal!

After trying another online ground school and becoming frustrated with my progress and knowledge, switching to Gold Seal was the difference maker for me. The questions, flash cards, stage checks and practice tests have given me the added knowledge and confidence I need to attempt my written test.

I was very pleased with the way it was laid out with the flash cards and quizzes. The stage checks are great to revisit for a quick review if you haven't been studying consistently. I used this course along with a part 141 school. I recommend this course to all the CFI's and students I talk to.

Used for instrument. Much more engaging than the other solution I used for private. Videos are entertaining and doesn’t bore you to death with walls of text

Great training and test prep for my private pilot written knowledge test. Managed to score a 97% using this and other free tools on the net. Thanks you. Well worth the money spent.

Course had a bunch of great content that was engaging. There were some gaps, but with any ground school, you should expect to supplement the material with other sources including the official FAA publications which gold seal does a good job of pointing you at. When ever I brought some of these to the attention to Russ, he create more content that further flushed out the course. I'm choosing gold seal again for my instrument.
