Harvey Norman is dishonest with it reviews.
Harvey Norman ask for my honest review of my last order which I had to reply that they sent me a somewhat damaged product not so much that the product doesn't work but enough to be disappointed as it was expensive and clearly damaged before they posted.
Letting you all know this here because they will reject any reviews that highlight issues with an order which is disappointing and dishonest of them claiming that it did not meet all their review guidelines which just means they wont publish anything if its negative in any way.
No Customer service phone number
Harvey Norman are so desperate to avoid their customers they have no phone number for online orders. Horrendous customer service.

Reeves was very helpfull providing knowledge and information on the vaccum we purchased Reeves assisted us by revieing and identifying the best cleaner for us. Overall jwe were very happy with the service and discounted prices. Would recommend the store and great service they provided.

The follow up phone calls, text messages and emails were constant and I appreciate the way in which she followed up with the task of replacing our damaged stock. Harvey Norman are such a disgusting company, continually taking advantage of vulnerable people. Their customer service is a joke, they do not assist and all blame for failures of any sort are apparently 100% the fault of the customer. They use unreliable and useless third party sellers to ship goods that you never receive. Parcels are left in a completely unsafe on open environment and the customer is NOT notified. Tracking is inaccurate and unreliable and they do not honour their customer satisfaction guarantee in any way. Do not buy anything from Harvey Norman as essentially you are just donating to a wealthy store owner as you don’t get what you pay for at all.

I have had one of the most frustrating consumer experiences I have ever encountered with Harvey Norman.
On 19 March 2026, I reported damaged goods and expected the matter to be resolved within a reasonable timeframe. Despite repeated follow-ups and ongoing communication, more than 14 weeks have now passed without a replacement being provided.
What is most disappointing is not only the delay itself but the apparent lack of urgency and accountability in resolving the issue. As a customer, I have spent considerable time chasing updates and seeking a solution, yet the matter remains unresolved.
When customers purchase products, they reasonably expect that damaged goods will be replaced promptly and that the retailer will stand behind its commitments. In my experience, Harvey Norman has failed to meet those expectations. The prolonged delay has caused significant inconvenience, frustration, and a complete loss of confidence in the company's customer service processes.
I have followed the appropriate procedures, including engaging with Consumer and Business Services (CBS), but I am still waiting for a satisfactory outcome. No customer should have to wait over 14 weeks for a replacement of damaged goods.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Harvey Norman to others. Potential customers should carefully consider the level of after-sales service they may receive if problems arise with their purchase.
I sincerely hope Harvey Norman reviews its customer service practices and takes greater responsibility for resolving legitimate customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.

I would like to express my appreciation for the outstanding customer service provided by Amber Gerick.
On 30/05/2026, a black line appeared on my Samsung TV / Camtech. When I approached Harvey Norman, I was advised that the issue fell under Samsung's responsibility and that Camtech would contact me within 48 hours. Unfortunately, this did not occur. After more than two weeks of delays and follow-up, Camtech finally attended my property today and replaced the motherboard.
Throughout this frustrating experience, Amber remained professional, supportive and compassionate. Although Samsung/Camtech delayed response was completely outside of her control, she took the time to apologise for the inconvenience and kept both my wife and me updated throughout the process.
Amber made us feel heard, understood, and supported at every stage. She consistently went above and beyond to assist us and did everything within her power to help ensure the issue was resolved as smoothly as possible.
Please pass on our sincere gratitude and recognition for her exceptional customer service. She is a credit to Harvey Norman, and her efforts made a significant difference during what was otherwise a very frustrating experience.

I went to purchase a carpet cleaner at the Temora HN I'd seen advertised in the Black Friday sales but was told that it would have to be ordered & would come in 3 wks.
After a mth I enquired about it & was told by this not at all helpful little weasel that he would like into it. After going back wk after wk it finally arrived in March but on reading the instruction booklet that stated it was not to be used on wool carpet I emailed Shark to verify it & was told it would ruin wool & told me to take it back to the retailer for a refund.
When we took it back the little weasel told us we couldn't have the refund there & then as they would have to receive an email from Shark. We were going back every wk & kept getting the same old yarns that Shark had to get in touch with them or they would ring Shark.
The Thursday before Easter when my husband went in to ask about it the weasel tried to intimidate my husband saying we had just changed our minds & didn't want it (my husband being in his early 80's).
I therefore sent an email to HN head office stating all that had taken place & that we had been deliberately
given the run around & he had been playing funny bunnies with us. The email was diverted to the Temora store & 9am on the Tuesday we received a ring from the manager to say the refund would be waiting for us when we went to Temora next.
Never buy anything from the Temora store & from other reviews I've read I would keep right away from any HN stores.
Worse customer service Harvey Norman…
Worse customer service Harvey Norman Mackay. Took a vacuum cleaner that had stopped working but under Product Care warranty. They took the vacuum cleaner and said they will send it to the repairers but I would need to deal with them as it is no longer with Harvey Norman to deal with. After months of going around in circles with Product Care, I went into Harvey Normans and after weeks of phone calls trying to find out what was going on, it turned out they had lost it and was never sent to the repairers.
We were given store credit to the value of the missing vacuum cleaner which we used to purchase a new model that wasn't in store but told it would be in the following week and they would contact when it arrived. After 2 weeks of waiting, we rang again and told it is coming and should arrive in the next week and they will contact me. After the following weeks I rang again only to be told they are having problems with their supplier and can't get that model so have to chose a different model or another brand.
I rang the Cannonvale store (110km away) and they had 5 in stock. I asked HN to do a stock transfer which was going to take 7 - 10 working days....2 weeks later I rang to find out the original order had arrived and we can come and pick it up.... No communication from HN throughout the ordeal unless I rang and get the standard store runaround trying to connect to customer service..
Can't complain about HN customer service....there is't any.
Don’t Shop at Harvey Norman.
I purchased a lounge suite from Harvey Norman Castle Hill, I paid extra to have it installed however on arrival the delivery driver told me that the three seater was bent and that he would report it and someone would contact me and I would get a new one. I was never contacted and when I called the store they were not interested and told me to call customer service. I called several times with no one answering. I emailed them with no response I even posted a letter to head office still no response. I contacted ACCC and they gave me an official letter head to send, finally got a email from customer service telling me that they were busy training someone as they were leaving. I finally received a call from a repair company who inspected my lounge and said that they would have to order the replacement part from overseas. It took four months plus numerous emails which were never answered l only got results from the repair company. Once you hand over your money Harvey Norman wants nothing more to do with you.
No service!
We haven't been to Harvey Normal for years because of the bad service we have experienced in the past. I bought a $3500 chair because of the softness of the leather, and when I recieved it, it was so hard. I complained and was told that it would soften, which it never did so we have never been back since.
We live in the country and quite far from the city, so don't get into town so often, but today we thought we would try to visit a HN store again (Moonah, Tas) with something simple to have some photos printed. I haven't done this before so asked for help and was told it was self service! So I tried the self service machine, connected my phone and selected last 100 photos. It came up with photos I took years ago, not the ones I needed printing!!! So I asked for some help and was told again that it is self serve and that they couldn't help. I DO understand self serve, but the machine was doing something different than it should, so it was faulty in my opinion. We were so shocked and will NEVER return to Harvey Normal. It's a pity as we are in the market for new furniture.....
Malaga, Perth - you rock!!
After a no service experience in Midland, I visited the Malaga store in Perth. Best decision ever. Dwyane and Cynthia were outstanding. Thank you for helping me with mum's Mother's Day gift. The ideal turntable and speakers made it to my car and even placed there by Dwayne himself. You are both fantastic ambassadors for HN and I appreciate all the effort.

I would like to express my appreciation for the excellent service I received from Imrose Hussain at your Adelaide City branch when I went to there to purchase a Google Pixel Pro phone.
He demonstrates all the qualities of an outstanding salesperson — highly professional while also understanding and attentive from a customer’s perspective. His approach made the experience smooth and very positive.
