I can honestly say that it was a pleasure working with the people at Tomo, couple bumps in the road with the appraisal and communication but I don’t take that away from anyone because I already expected the worse but things turned out fine and we were able to close quickly and at a good time for me and I am very appreciative, I highly recommend Tomo if you’re contemplating. 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My experience with Tomo Mortgage was extremely frustrating and unprofessional from start to finish, and I would strongly caution anyone considering using them for a home loan.

To begin with, communication was almost nonexistent. The team was consistently unresponsive, forcing me to chase them for basic updates and answers that should have been provided proactively. Their lack of responsiveness became a major source of stress during a process that is already time-sensitive and detail-heavy.

Worse yet, just one day before closing, Tomo attempted to change the loan terms, despite the fact that my interest rate had already been locked in writing. This is not only unprofessional—it’s a violation of trust and standard mortgage procedure. A last-minute change like this could have jeopardized the entire transaction, and it showed a complete disregard for transparency and integrity.

Because of their mishandling, the closing was delayed by a full week, which caused a ripple effect of inconvenience, added expenses, and unnecessary stress for everyone involved—buyers, sellers, attorneys, and agents. This delay was entirely preventable and was the direct result of Tomo’s lack of diligence and attention to detail.

Overall, Tomo proved to be not diligent, not reliable, and not customer-focused. Buying a home is too important to risk with a lender who doesn’t honor agreed-upon terms, doesn’t communicate, and doesn’t take ownership of their mistakes.

I would not recommend Tomo Mortgage to anyone looking for a smooth, professional, and trustworthy lending experience.

It was a roller coaster ride kind of experience with my first time home buying and I appreciate Tomo for all the assistance they provided us through the journey.

PJ Nemish and Paige Fields were great and helped me find the right interest rate, and were prompt and efficient in closing the deal on time. However, just one suggestion to make the underwriting process a little more smoother.

I would definitely recommend Tomo.

Jeff Kriebel made my experience with TOMO 5 star. He is a very knowledgeable agent who walked me through the process and guided me till the very last step.

I was skeptical of working with an online provider but my experience gave me a confidence to trust TOMO.

Conor, Eddie and team made the process incredibly seamless. It was our first time going through the mortgage loan process and Conor patiently answered all of our questions and genuinely seemed interested in getting us the best rate possible! Tomo is legit and the real deal. My experience was flawless and I worked with John and he was a god send. From the first person I spoke to that transferred me over to my loan officer (John) it was a very pleasant experience all the way through. Anyone that needs help with a loan to purchase a home need to reach out to Tomo asap.

It was a miserable experience that was extremely stressful. I will NEVER work with Tomo again. The tiny savings in percentage points was NOT worth the risk of not closing on time.

We had pre-approval from Tomo underwriting weeks before closing. Tomo then decided to wait until the morning before closing to send it back to underwriting for final review.

Received the lowest rate and they figured out a way to fix a problem that we were having preventing us from closing when needed. Also, will refinance for free if there is even a better rate in 6 months or later .

I had an excellent experience with Tomo! They offered the lowest mortgage rate I could find, and their team provided outstanding support from start to finish. The entire process was smooth, transparent, and much faster than I expected. Every question I had was answered clearly, and I always felt like I was in good hands.

Overall I had a very pleasant experience with Tomo. Aaron Shaw was very knowledgable and helpful throughout the entire process. Hard to beat their rates. I’m a satisfied customer.

I was in the 2% whose loans didn't close on time. It was very frustrating. I received conditional approval August 29. Despite putting down more than 20% and having median credit scores above 800, we didn't close until September 17 at 9:30 p.m.
When I did more research, an email showed that the mortgage was being processed by a third party, and that Tomo had to bring it back in house to complete it within the already delayed time frame. After all that, the mortgage was sold before the first payment was even due! I'm still getting junk mail from marketers about my Tomo mortgage, even though the mortgage was sold. Pricing was good, service was not so great.

We got an excellent rate on our loan. The process was pretty smooth. There was a little drama at the very end of the process but we made closing on time.

Im very pleased with Tomo and saved thousands in closing costs. Conor helped me through it all with of his expertise and Paige helped keep me on track with the paperwork necessary. They were a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend them and the Tomo team.

As a first time home buyer, my experience with Tomo was great. Worked with Irena and Ashley. Process was smooth, rates were the best among 5 other different mortgage companies. Had a lot of questions as a first time buyer which they helped with. Closed on time and funded very quickly on the closing day. Would definitely recommend.

Tomo was fast, very transparent and got us a great rate.

We got the lowest rate we could find. We were particularly happy in the way the loan officer handled all our questions. The experience with closing could have been better as our questions experienced a lot of latency in answers during important last few days in closing. But overall everything was done on time and we are glad we worked with Tomo.

Everyone at Tomo was very responsive and the whole process was overall smooth. My only critique is that a couple of times they asked for the same document or question several times.
