Awesome

I use their service through roku and they're really getting better in terms of selection and if I turn off the TV it remembers where I was at im really enjoying alot of shows right now that aren't anywhere else and that says alot as far as im concerned....it doesnt have load times anywhere near as much as crunchyroll or iqiyi has been...still alittle rough around the edges but making great progress in the right direction! Im excited to have another great anime app! Keep em coming ppl! Thank you!

If I could give you a 0 star review I would ur platform is shit I canceled my subscription 3 + months ago an somehow u kept billing me I had to change cards to get it to stop the only thing u have going for u is ...is it wrong to pick up girls in a dungeon...there's a couple others but not enough to keep u ur platform doesn't save where ur at u have to constantly remember what episode ur on an when u watch as much as I do it's infuriating I hope someone takes ur platform from u an makes it something good

Would give lower if I could so long story short one day I did the 7 day free trial day 3 of trial decided it wasn't for me just didnt really have what i was looking for but heres the kicker I subbed using an account i had previously trough my roku i tried canceling through the app on roku and it looked like it did till fast forward to today when i noticed a charge from roku and was like probably the hulu nope clicked on charge saw it hidive goto website log in it shows im still subbed so i try to cancel and guess what website says i cant gotta go through roku to cancel WTF ok fine get on roku redownload hidive go into app and now it doesnt give me option to cancel now i start getting pissed look everywhere finally a google article later find out you have to hit the damn star on the remote over the app you want to cancel a subscription to like wtf who makes this shit and why tf cant you cancel on the providers site when they are the one providing the service thats like taking something back to walmart and them saying you gotta take the shit to your bank

They charge more than advertised!

Website shows 5.99$ for subscription, their faq says 6.99, and after checking my paypal balance for the last year I have been charged $7.20, not trustworthy at all. Cancelled and will stick to Crunchyroll after 3 years.

So i understand that the library is small but I can't understand how subtitles have become worse then when I watched hidive when it was a packaged deal. Anytime two conversations occur, the text overlaps. Not even pirated sites are that bad. For a paid subscription this is sad.

Empty Promises, Bad Customer Service, and a Garbage App

I’ve been using HIDIVE since 9th grade, and sadly, their service hasn’t improved. The app is still glitchy—even after their so-called upgrade—and their refund policy is basically nonexistent. If you’re charged unexpectedly or experience issues, don’t expect help. HIDIVE refuses to offer refunds, even when the problem is clearly on their end.

I contacted support after dealing with a dismissive agent, and this was the response I received:

Thank you for contacting HIDIVE Customer Support!
Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. We completely understand why this situation would be frustrating, and we’re truly sorry for any inconvenience it has caused you.
We are pleased to hear that your password concern has been resolved. We are always happy to assist!
We also appreciate your feedback. We are constantly working to improve the experience that we want you to have. Your feedback is valuable, and we’ll make sure it’s noted so we can continue to offer top-tier content and service for you and to all the HIDIVE fans.
HIDIVE takes all viewer comments seriously. We will pass these along for further consideration. Thank you for taking the time to share your opinion.”

It was polite—but robotic and hollow. No mention of the agent’s behavior, no accountability, and no real answer to my follow-up. I was told my account would be deleted after canceling my subscription, but it never was. Then they said it was “sent to another department”… and that was the last I heard. No confirmation, no closure, no sparkle.

Their customer service is just as broken as their app. They dodge responsibility, send vague replies, and never follow through. Even basic requests like account deletion get lost in the void. It’s exhausting.

I’ll be sticking with Crunchyroll from here on out—or finding another anime streaming service that actually values its viewers. Crunchyroll has always been kind, responsive, and willing to process refunds when things go wrong. HIDIVE could learn a lot from that.

I won’t be renewing. And I wouldn’t recommend HIDIVE to anyone who values decent support, transparency, or basic follow-through.

Highdive bandits

I was charged twice for my subscription. I contacted the company through a long process and got a response of we can't help and are pretty much incompetent. They worked harder trying to not help me than actually fixing the issue. So I lost the money, but on the plus side now I don't have to deal with them ever again and I assume they won't last very long with Crunchyroll and 9anime being way better options.

Hidive are NON-EXISTENT

After being a long time viewer for many years with Hidive they have seriously gone downhill. I even wonder if the company still exists, or is fully operational. My next concern is after still paying my monthly subscription, for this length of time, I don't think they have uploaded any new animés in a very long while.
The app is God awful, rubbish, utter trash. If I use their service I watch my animés via the website instead. The app, it keeps logging you out, It doesn't allow you to search for any animés at all, it doesn't allow you to view ALL of your favourites or Queued folder contents. If you were watching something and you've stopped and gone back to watch it the following day, it doesn't allow you to continue on from where you'd left off BUT the app doesn't allow you to view your folder or search for any animés at all, there lies the problem, plus the app constantly has the cc showing at the bottom of the screen even though you didn't have it activated to show. The app has been like this for ages with no improvements and Hidive DOES NOT RESPOND TO YOUR EMAILS.

not worth the hassle of paying

I signed up for hidive trial, paid the annual subscription before the trial ended, and i also got a receipt from them as well. when my trial ended my paid subscription was gone. i called them and they said they have no records of the paid transaction. i sent them a snapshot of the email receipt and credit card transaction snapshot. now i have to wait up to 72hrs for this to be resolve. i have never dealt with a company this poorly in every way not even in a third world country.

Very disappointing

Very disappointing. I was hoping to enjoy various favorite anime, but my experience with HIDIVE was far from satisfying. The app frequently crashes and buffers excessively, even with a stable internet connection. Additionally, the user interface feels outdated and unintuitive. The available content is also not as extensive as I expected. I'd rather switch to a more reliable streaming platform. I won't be renewing my subscription here.

Awful

Talk about utter dogsh*t. Interface is like a reject from the 90s, dubs don't have subtitles for onscreen text, the app is one of the worst in existence and the simulcasts are abysmal

HIDIVE is terrible

HIDIVE has some serious production issues. I only put up with it because somehow they go the rights to some big shows, but they are constantly late with releases, making mistakes on subtitles, and ignoring feedback about their website which is in need of an update.

Some of these issues were easier to hand wave away when they were new, but it has been years and they have refused to address major feedback while continuing to drop the ball for major shows. This is a company that is resisting change even though they need it.

If you have a viable alternative, I would steer clear, but unfortunately us consumers don't have a wealth of options when it comes to finding our shows. Hopefully they change course soon.

Hiidive is unprofessional.

This site claims to stream uncensored anime but their localisers purposely censore the dialogue in the shows. And worst of all they brag about this on social media and the company does nothing to stop this. Not only is this blatant false advertising but clearly this company had no intention of fixing their employees unprofessional behaviour.

Bietet nicht was es verspricht!

Schlechte Anime Seite! man kann nur mit Abo schauen und dann steht bei jeden Anime dabei das er Deutsche Untertitel hat oder Sychro hat aber dann kommt es nur auf Englisch! Totale Geld Verschwendung!

Absolutely Abysmal

Absolutely abysmal app and company. Worst experience I’ve ever had with any streaming app. Intentionally and repeatedly slamming my head in a doorway would be less painful and frustrating that continuing to try and navigate the terrible user interface and buggy app HiDive has created. Truly a shame that they keep buying up more and more good shows and not providing a useable app to watch them on.

Terrible app, and no sign of improvement

I gave my feedback to HIDIVE almost immediately after starting using their service, this was about a year ago now, as it was near unusable - the response I received was:

"Thanks for your feedback. HIDIVE takes all viewer comments seriously. We will pass these along for further consideration."

my feedback was simple things like listed languages were not available, despite selecting Japanese a number of shows decided they would come in English instead. You have to fast forward like it's a bloody tape, can't skip to the next episode or even jump forwards, and it always ALWAYS forgets where you were - you come back to a show an hour from now and you're 5 episodes back again, and you can't skip forwards so hit fast forward and see if you can get even close, good luck!

You watch, favourite, or star a show and when new episodes are available... well, you have no idea, you have to just go check because your watchlist is completely useless, after all at HIDIVE you're 5 episodes behind where you really are so why would a new episode matter.

Did I mention the speed? No? That's because there isn't any, my connection is decent, typically 850mbps+ and it takes close to 30 seconds to load the home screen, even worse is when you navigate because it also takes ages, and come back to the home screen? well you better wait another 30 seconds to see the same items you saw just a few seconds ago because caching? Nope, we don't need that...

In short, it's an awful user experience and after a year they've done nothing to improve it. Once upon a time I had similar complaints about crunchyroll who despite still having some issues have really gotten it together the last few years, and their app is buggy but usable... hopefully HIDIVE will do the same in time, but they're far from that point right now, it's far too annoying to be worth the money despite a few decent shows you don't get elsewhere.

No option to remove payment card

Required debit card for a free trial (pretty standard but relevant in a bit), had a good selection, but website was difficult to use and app did not have access to everything on the website, forcing me to sit on my pc instead. Most annoying though, when I went to end my free trial and delete my debit card from their system there was no option to do this, and it took 2 months of me emailing them before they deleted my card info.
