I ordered the items, very fair prices & free postage. Received an email to let me know the items had been posted, they arrived really quickly, no mucking about. Good company to order from!

What i like about HiFi sound everything they really have the eye on the ball everything is well packaged and they use decent couriers, ie DPD, and on most items its free delivery i orderd late Saturday night andbit arrived Tuesday, its a great company and i look forwards to many more transactions 👍👍

We were delighted with the service HifiSound gave us-speedy communication and prompt delivery. The item was packaged very securely too.

I would give more stars but I'm afraid the delivery service and packaging ultimately turned the whole experience sour. I was told these floor standing speakers would arrive on a pallet, but would it have hurt them to have their driver help take them inside at least. I couldn't wait for help as the weather turned so I slowly began to open carefully. There was help coming but not straight away and I think out of common courtesy, decent customer service and trying to be competitive in terms of an all round quality delivery service ; this should be a given so that their is no risk or danger and ultimately then the customer has piece of mind.

I have to say they were so poorly and loosely packaged I couldn't believe it. After I opened one pallet strap the bottom of the box gave way so not even securely taped on the outside. But then these type of products should be in thick individual boxes tightly packaged. Then it is easy for 1 or 2 men to carry items like this.
The accessories just taped in a loose bag to the outside box and one speaker alternately flipped upside down exposing the top tweeter which is very fragile, there was no protection even before the bottom gave way ; the fact that there was no damage to that part is a miracle. There was just a thin plastic sheet hardly taped to the side with one piece of white tape that had come away just amazing. I'm sure many would agree that these aren't the standards of a good professional company. After I'd dragged my jaw off the floor and chilled out after the stress and trauma I began to process it all. It could've been so much worse putting my health at risk, house security, and also as something like this draws attention.

So to summarise it was two 21kg floor standing speakers only separated by a few pieces of cardboard and broken bits of polystyrene. They moved like trees in the wind when the box was slightly moved, just mindless packaging. Whatever they say about their standards and how it packed before delivery is irrelevant if it arrives in a poor, unsafe and dangerous condition. It would be concerning even if several people were trying to handle this situation.

So to summarise really it is all just very backward, lazy and amateurish for a company dealing with high end premium goods.

The correspondence in the early days was fair but tinged with a little arrogance and attitude that you expect at times in that industry, but it was acceptable. There could be options discussed with people during the buying process for people's peace of mind in terms of delivery options for non local customers, but that's only half the problem as the packaging has to be of a very high standard with goods like this. No excuses are accepted as you can buy quality boxes, packing materials etc if you don't have the originals and most people know how to package appropriately. You just then add it on to the end costs to Recoup costs.

So you may or may not receive a good experience from them but beware as they are stubborn and arrogant, and clearly don't care. I'm sure if you've got all the help in the world on delivery day or if you go pick it up it's different, but if their packing is as consistently as poor as what I received then god help you, as it could be like a magic box of horror as you open it up. If you really want to use this company I'd say use your own courier service if they don't change their ways. It seems they have long standing respect and mean well, but there is one side of their operation which as I’ve said extremely concerning.

They haven’t even apologised or taken any accountability for anything, all you get is attitude and deflection. There is damage which I’ll have to pay for at some point if I keep the speakers, as I’ve not had chance to test them and see if I’ve been duped there yet. I've even spoken to a Director and it's just the same attitude. They refuse to do anything and and seem bemused by what I've said. I've even been told what do I want to achieve and it's too late to do anything now. It's barely been a week and I believe you have 2 weeks to complain or change your mind, these are your customer rights and they should know the correct conduct and behaviour as a seller and what standards are expected professionally.

So good luck and I hope justice is achieved for someone who’s experience isn’t plain sailing.

I ordered a turntable drive belt online and it arrived 2 days later. Very efficient service. I would happily use this company again.

Went into the Castlegate Mill showroom to look at hifi speakers, Barry started of well showing us what options they had in on active speakers, and set a pair up for us to lessen too, I liked the sound of KEF LSX speakers and asked Barry how long delivery would be, " Barry replied 24hours if in stock, 72hours if they have to order them in ". I then paid in full to order them, Three days later I had not received any delivery date so contacted the showroom for update, only to be told the speakers would not be in stock till early April !
This is very poor when they could of told me before paying in full for goods they don't have in stock to to sell
I would of gladly left a deposit and waited if they ha told me the truth about the speakers not being available.

Wonderful company who go beyond what you might expect. I sold some speakers to them recently and when DPD failed twice to collect them the company owner collected them personally when he was in the area. Also ordered a Quad amplifier on Tuesday afternoon and it was delivered on Wednesday - fantastic service!

Fantastic customer service - I bought a turntable from these guys (at a really great price!). Unfortunately after setting it up I discovered there was an issue with the sound on one of the channels. I emailed the store and Barry responded within the hour and organised a replacement for me, and a courier to collect the faulty unit from my house - couldn't have asked for a better experience! Highly recommended.

Ordered a turntable (at a great price) which was delivered quickly with no issues. When I set the turntable up it became clear there was a problem with the tonearm (manufacturer issue). Hifi Sound quickly arranged for a replacement to be issued and the faulty item picked up on the same day. Communication was brilliant. Amazing customer service. Oh and great prices too. Would highly recommend.

Once again excellent service, great price on an amp, next day delivery at 0900hrs…

Amp was as new, looks unused to me…

Absolutely terrific and highly recommended. The speakers I bought were as good as new despite them being bought as second hand. Also their staff were great to deal with and were incredibly helpful when they went out of their way to sort out the delivery of speakers going in both directions. I dare say that if your purchasing 2nd hand speakers, they'll be in excellent condition as mine were (good as new). An extremely strong recommendation from me.

Bought a pair of Lowther Bicor 200 Speakers. Great staff relationship from order all the way to the front door. They used a fantastic Pallet delivery company who gave me loads of notice 30 minutes and were so helpful. The goods were delivered in perfect condition and very well wrapped. the speakers sound sublime and are exactly what was advertised. I 100% recommend these people for A1 service and a friendly manner. Thanks, Stephen for all your help..
