Good company, not great apartment
Claverton Street is in a convenient location but tired and worn, especially for the price. HomefromHome staff were friendly and professional and communication was prompt and thorough. We would recommend passing on this apartment.

Property was very old, bathroom did not work properly. Carpet and in general it was very dirty.

The company Home from Home are really good to deal with, when booking, and when you are in one of their properties. They make it easy to find and rent a vacation home, and to make good any problems. Well located spacious apartment but…
Well located spacious apartment but very old fashioned fixtures and fittings particularly in the kitchen and bathroom.
We enjoyed our stay but found Home from Home rather pedantic to deal with - a 30 pound charge for a weekend check-in (an under-whelming experience) and 30 days to return my security deposit.

We regret to hear that you were not pleased with the 30 GBP weekend let in fee; unfortunately as our office is officially closed during the weekends we have to make additional arrangements for the key handover outside the working hours. We hope to find a solution of waiving this fee in the future. Also, our most sincere apologies for the delay in returning your security deposit.
After all, we are happy that you enjoyed your stay at the apartment, despite finding the fixtures and fittings being old fashioned. We are encouraged to hopefully have some updates done on the flat for the next rental season, if possible.

Great location
Great location. Quiet at night but because flat is on ground floor noise of people talking outside and children on nearby playing fields can be annoying. Shutting all windows helps, but it is often too hot to do so in the summer. Also, because of ground floor location all windows must be closed at night when sleeping for security. Neighborhood is very safe and upscale, but still closing windows at night is advised. With this in mind, we enjoyed our stay and HfH staff were very helpful. We would recommend HfH to others.

After a near miss with a large web based provider we choose to go with home from home and we are really happy we did.
Excellent service from the reservation through to the departure and the apartment was great and lived up to expectation.

Great flat and great location to shopping, restaurants, bus and tube,
The flat we rented for 9 nights was fabulous. I have no complaints whatsoever about it. I do feel that the payment procedure was very confusing due to the US dollars to British Sterling.. I was also dismayed to find that we were charged extra for our prepaid and prearranged transportation from the airport to the flat. This was not part of the agreement.

Lovely gracious home in Fulham
Lovely gracious home with ensuites to every bedroom. The home lived up to the online photos. It was 7 minutes walk to the tube and a significant shopping street and supermarket.

Wonderful Covent Garden stay.
We stayed in one of the flats near Covent Garden during our 10 day stay in London in June,2018.
The flat is on the tenth floor in a quiet building just off Holborn Underground station and with easy access to Supermarkets and transport besides being eminently walkable from most sites in the center.
The flat had a well equipped kitchen besides a living area with Cable TV though we did not have the time to watch much TV. The bedroom was adequate for the two of us and we liked the fact that there was cross ventilation when we kept appropriate windows open which was a good thing as the usual norm in London is no AC as it is frankly not needed most of the time. In addition The Table Fan provided helped to make sure the climate inside was very pleasant . It was great to be able to open the balcony door and take in the view while sitting at the small table and chairs provided there.
The washing machine facilitated us bringing only carryon luggage on the plane from Philadelphia as we could wash our clothes a couple of times during our stay. The only con if at all was the slightly inconvenient siting of the Toilet and the very small washbasin, though I guess they did the best given the small size of the bathroom. Water pressure was very good in the shower and so was the hot water.
All in all, we made a very wise choice and besides privacy, the ability to walk everywhere or hop on an underground train or bus using contactless credit card and the ability to buy and have Dinner at home with cost savings therein made for a wonderful trip to a city where we have stayed for a couple of years in the nineties. We do recommend the company very highly based on our interaction.

Flat in Kensington
The flat we had was very quiet, close to the museums, shops and restaurants. The process, from the time of rental to leaving the flat, used by Home From Home was very smooth and functioned very well.

Lovely apt but buyer beware!
Cornwall Gardens was a lovely apt, HFH pickup at Heathrow was terrific, HFH was rapid in responding to some immediate needs (rubber bathmat, oven mitt, etc.) master bedroom was lovely but a very noisy hot water heater in the bedroom whenever anyone used hot water in either bathroom. Small bedroom was VERY small, and the owner used a lot of storage space including a big box of floor tiles taking up a good portion of the closet. The outdoor balcony, overlooking the Garden was great but it was scruffy, needed a good scrubbing and painting. Location was superb.
The big problem was HFH uses a strange company called Elavon, to handle their currency exchanges. I didn’t notice when we paid our first deposit but when we paid the main portion for the apt. I noticed that The amount taken out of my credit card was way more than the international exchange rate for that day. When I question this to HFH I was assured by them that they did not get more than what was advertised as their rent. Then who got it? Presumably this Elavon company. I was initially advised to deal with them, then HFH said they would reimburse me an amount to equal what the established currency exchange would have been. I agreed to this adjustment and was told I would receive this at the end of my stay, 2-3 weeks after when my security deposit was returned. It finally was, 5 weeks after we left the property, after I reminded HFH.
Is this a way to do business?

Looking back to this issue, we did offer you to refund the currency exchange, which you didn't want to proceed with. Perhaps dealing with the exchange rate issue delayed refunding the security deposit, which we aim to give back to our guests within 2-3 weeks. Perfection
We had a wonderful experience with Home From Home, from our pickup and drop off at the airport, to our well-appointed accommodations. Our flat at Berkeley Gardens was perfectly placed for all we wanted to do in London! We were a 5 minute walk from Notting Hill Gate tube station, and a 10 minute walk from High Street Kensington tube station. The famous Churchill Arms Pub was literally a stone’s throw, as well as Hyde Park. Portobello Road Market was a few minutes walk, along with shops and restaurants. We would highly recommend Home From Home to anyone, and can’t wait to plan a return visit to London!
