Having never used a snagging company before I inItially thought it’s a lot of money but I’m so glad I had my survey done. It identified a lot of snags, on my new build, many of which prevent future problems that become my responsibility when the developers guarantee expires. If you’re considering it go for it. The price of the survey compared to the price of a house is tiny. Alex performed my survey. He was very polite and professional. The report you receive is very comprehensive. With lots of detail. For each defect they identify specifically which regulation it contravenes.

Marius was excellent from the moment he arrived to when he left. He was courteous, professional, on time, reliable and help reassure me through every step of the way. He explained what he would do, what he needed and went above and beyond. He pointed things out I would never have seen. There was no judging on the developer, house or build and instead took time to explain why there was snagging issues, how to fix them and even in his report offered continual advice and left the channel of communication open if we have any questions down the line. The report was thorough and very informative. Very happy as to the level of detail and 10/10 overall.

Before the snagging, I was a bit hesitant. The last snagging I had when I bought the new home almost 3 years ago didn't go well at all. I could smell the alcohol when the snagger came. He was not through nor attentive and I swore I would never used the same company again. Couple of months ago I watched a tv programme about flooding in new builds and knew how important a snagging report could do to fix the hidden defects. I am glad that this time I had appointed the right company. Mathew is very professional, thorough and attenive to minor details. The snagging took more than 5 hours to complete and the resultant work was meticulously finished. The physical report arrived in 3 days but the PDF format arrived at the same day. I would recommend HomeSnag to anyone without any reservation.

Really professional service from start to finish. Great customer service throughout, and we were kept updated/informed all the way. Our snagger (Frazer) communicated well before, and on the day we knew what was going on. Our report arrived promptly within two days, and in a highly usable format. Have never used a professional snagger before, but would thoroughly recommend HomeSnag.

Alex came to snag our new build, on time and very personable and clearly an expert in what he was doing, he spotted about 3 things in the hallway within 10 seconds of me opening the door like the stairs post being slightly off square and the threshold being the wrong height! Very impressed with the service. Well worth doing, yes it’s £500 but when you’re buying a house in the hundreds of thousands it’s a small price to pay to get it all checked over an a comprehensive report to submit to the developer.

We booked HomeSnag for a Fundamentals Survey after living in our new build home for nearly a year. The online booking process was simple and easy to use, I was contacted the day before the inspection by Marius to inform me what time he'll arrive, he arrived punctually and after a short chat, he got to work inspecting the property. After roughly 2 hours, he had inspected everything including things I was concerned about and produced a report that same day. I was able to forward that on to my developer to get some bits resolved.

The report was well detailed with NHBC and Building Regs highlighted where applicable.

10/10 service, I have already recommended them to another family member and will continue to do so.

Excellent snagging service – very thorough and professional

We recently used HomeSnag for the snagging inspection on our new build home and had a very positive experience from start to finish.

From the initial enquiry, the whole process was smooth and professional. The admin team were very helpful, quick to respond to emails and happy to answer all of our questions. They also had good availability for appointments, which made booking very easy, and we were able to secure a morning slot that suited us perfectly.

Matthew carried out our inspection and he was excellent. He was extremely thorough, professional and had great attention to detail. It was clear he knew exactly what he was looking for, and he took the time to explain things to us during the inspection, which we really appreciated.

We would definitely recommend adding the thermal imaging check. This identified insulation issues in our home that we would never have been aware of otherwise. Matthew also discovered a leak under the bath which could potentially have caused thousands of pounds worth of damage over time if it had gone unnoticed.

Once the inspection was completed, we received the report the very next day. It was extremely detailed and thorough, with clear references to the relevant regulations, which made it very helpful when raising the issues with the developer.

Overall, we are extremely happy with the service and feel it was worth every penny. We would absolutely recommend HomeSnag to anyone buying a new build home.

We booked the fundamental survey and were surprised with some of the things that were found. Me and my sister would have had no idea and those things could have caused issues down the line. David was very professional, friendly and informative. The report was sent within the same day too, highly recommend!

Had this company round to snag my new build & the lad that did it was absolutely spot on. Just left him too it and he was more than happy to answer any questions I had about snagging ect, and then we given my full report few days later which went in to great detail about his snags he’s raised, for the price and peace of mind definitely worth doing it, would recommend

Being a busy single female I wanted to entrust a home inspection to a company with experience which wouldn’t let me down. This company held my hand all the way through and for that I am very grateful. The builder accepted the list as has nearly completed all the snags. I have the list to verify once I am in that the work is completed so the best money I have spent. Use this company to complete competes since list with photographic evidence detailing all the issues. It’s something you can’t afford not to do . 👍
