Fantastic and efficient service from the team in Hosting Power!

I read all the reviews and was very shocked to hear how much guests are charged up front. A bit steep in my opinion. However, my first guest has arrived and everything is working out good so the system seems to work, at least for my first guest. The drawbacks are that both guest and host have to make black and white decisions before a booking request or booking confirm/deny answer without having any method to communicate. If the proposed dates are almost available but not quite, there is no option to offer alternative dates to the guest, or if the guest has flexibile dates. Another confusing things is the Guests Available function. These are only possible guests who match your area via their profile details, but in no way constitutes interest or even potential match of requirements. I had to contact support about my confusion of Available Guests, and if Fiona is a real person (not AI), I'll give her 10/10 for her response speed and detailed explanation. Overall I'd rate Hosting Power as 8/10 with the loss of 2/10 for very high charges to guests.

Hosting power are a Best company, They recommend guests for you who are vetted and checked. They provide assistance with house rules and rental payment, so everything is above board. Always polite, helpful and very approachable.

Hosting Power is such a reliable option to book accomodation in Ireland! I am from Mexico, and this was my very first time outside America. I was nervous and scared for being so far from home. Nonetheless, the team kindly guided me during the process to find a host, and what a host! Anne is so kind and gentle that immediately made me feel safe and welcomed; she definitely made me feel less homesick, and I could not be happier with my booking.

I have just started using hosting power recently and have been impressed how proactive they are regarding hosts and guests. Very easy to talk to and communication is great.

My experience was terrible. I booked a room and then received an email suggesting that I book other rooms using the same amount that had already been charged to my card.

I booked another room, but I had no intention of staying there because the location was much further away than what I was looking for. The problem was that the booking was automatically accepted by the host. Only after it was accepted did I find out the exact location of the room and realise that it would not work for me.

I cancelled immediately, just a few minutes after the confirmation, and contacted customer service to request a refund. It has now been 5 days and I still haven’t received my money back.

The customer service is extremely slow. The platform takes exactly 24 hours to reply to each message, with no sense of urgency in resolving the issue.

To make matters worse, they told me that they would not refund the €492.90 charged to my card, even though I didn’t even have the opportunity to use that money towards another accommodation.

So, basically, I lost €492.90 without having any accommodation at all. I find this completely unfair and it has been an extremely frustrating experience.

I definitely do not recommend this platform.
