This was a great service, Marcel was really helpful to explain the process and their rates, super easy to get a hold of and they have a simple online portal. Survey was booked in very quickly, received the report 2 days later, very thorough and understandable, pictures included. Queries were answered straight away and surveyor even went through the major bits of the report over the phone. Would highly recommend :)

Used this company twice now, first time round used them for a house I was looking to buy however it fell through and the work had already been carried out, I made the team aware and they offered me a great discount if I come back to them again which they did and stuck to their word, it had been a couple of weeks since I’d spoken to them and the fact that they remembered me and the issue I faced was brilliant. The report I got was detailed and very useful for me to move forward with my house sale. I’d recommend using house smart for your house survey 100%!

I would I highly recommended to anyone to use house smart survey. I’ve Not had any issues throughout the process of purchase my property. I’ve had phone calls and I was kept update with everything.

Good price , Got the survey booked in, good communication from the booking team, jasmine who conducted the survey was very helpful going through the report with me ,very patient and took the time to explain everything. Only thing I could say is I expected the report to be back with 3-5 days and it took 7 days instead.

Marcel took my initial inquiry for a survey on a property I’m purchasing. He liaised with the Estate agent re assessing the property.
I received a call from the surveyor Adeel before the survey to ascertain if I had any particular concerns too which was great because I did. I would recommend this company the cost is very competitive and you get excellent efficiency through the whole process.
I received a very comprehensive report and was able to discussed areas I was unsure about with the surveyor too.

We booked a survey through House Smart Surveys. The survey was conducted by Shazad. The survey report was very detailed and well structured with photographs. The follow-up after the survey with the surveyor was nothing short of exemplary. We messaged him asking for a suitable time to discuss the survey assuming he would reply to arrange a time further in the week - he actually called us within 5 mins and spent a good length of time answering all our questions whilst offering sensible jargon free advice.

The informative and professional advice given to us by the surveyor was invaluable at a time of what was a crucial point in the transaction - which we are only appreciating now nearing completion.

I used House Smart Surveying in June for a Level 2 Homebuyers survey on my property. Marcel was very helpful with the booking and the report was delivered on time within two weeks. On the day of survey the surveyor Jasmine did not communicate with the seller to ask if the central heating boiler was on or off and marked this down as a negative, causing me to question the need to install a new boiler when it was not on, on the day of survey. I also requested by telephone from House Smart a discussion to explain in practical terms how the oil fired system provided hot water, but received no reply. Only by subsequently meeting the seller did I remedy the situation about the survey, much to the sellers disbelief. The sale of the property could have been lost had I not met the seller in person to discuss the survey report. Overall I feel the survey lacked professionalism and service provided to both buyer and seller.

Absolutely brilliant service.No problems with this company.I was slightly worried after reading a few bad reviews.But honestly i cannot rate this company highly enough.The surveyor Shahzad Saeed was great.He rang me before doing the survey and said that I could call him with any questions I may have.Also house smart survey were alot cheaper than other quotes.

Absolutely terrible I asked for several issues to be addressed on there visit never picked up on any of the issues rang to speak to surveyor he was rather rude and condescending and basically called me a lier would never use or recommend ever again

I’d like to sincerely thank you for the exceptionally detailed and professional survey House Smart Surveying company carried out. Their thorough approach, clear explanations, and the use of photographs to highlight key findings made the report easy to understand and very informative.

I also appreciate that their fee was more reasonable compared to many other providers, which makes the quality of your service even more impressive.

Failure to refund £499, so please be cautious before using this company, despite the really competitive pricing they offer.

I received a quote for £499 for a Level 2 Home Survey from House Smart which was £126 cheaper than a local surveyor, despite my gut feeling telling me not to do so, I booked it and paid the money the same day based purely on price, more fool me!

Later that evening I spent some more time reading thoroughly the reviews on Trustpilot, and the following day decided to cancel for various reasons and book with my local surveyor. The refund was requested and confirmed on 19th August, no refund has yet been received on 11th September, despite their pledge of 5 to 7 working days to receive the refund. On 2nd September after chasing once again I was asked by Marcel to provide my bank details as per the note below:

Good afternoon Jason,
I hope you are well.
As discussed over the phone please can you send over your bank details as there is a possibility we can speed up the process and provide a bank transfer instead.
The survey was cancelled on the 19th August - The refund was processed and is still being processed, sorry for this delay.

Since then I’ve called multiple times and as of today still have no refund?

I’ll get the refund at some stage, thankfully I’m not desperate for it, but if this situation could put you in a predicament please consider avoiding this company.

I was booked in quickly and the survey was very in depth and informative.

Me & my wife have just had our survey back & we’re taken a back on how much of a detailed survey it was,we weren’t expecting it to be so amazing,we can understand now why we had to wait like we did,wasn’t to long it just me being impatient & sameer but my mind at ease to why.we can’t believe the price we paid for what we got back it’s very much under priced,the whole service was second to none,I’d very much recommend house smart surveying to everyone.id like to take this opportunity to thank sameer & all his team for all there hard work,THANK YOU

Bit of a mixed review
I had decided to use this company as the surveyor was very good and I spoke 3/4 times with the office so my details were stored/saved. When it came to me being contacted prior to our proposed house being surveyed there was no call as they had the wrong number on the system.

I was really hoping to be able to put a better review but unfortunately I cannot.

Shazad was excellent but this experience has been let down and I am very disappointed in my overall experience.

Difficult to recommend based on my own personal experience unfortunately.
