I have completed the programme, I thoroughly enjoyed it! I learnt A LOT of new things, will definitely be recommending this to my fellow law students. Waste of time, take the matter to small claims. Hunt ADR claim they find 70% in favour of the consumer. In our case they said our case succeeded but they didn't order a refund of our money. How can you succeed but not be repaid ? They did however order a small amount of compensation because the supplier had not explained the contract situation correctly and their website was unclear. They also ordered the supplier to repay our £108 fee for filing with Hunt ADR. Hunt ADR are not following the guidelines set out by the Competition and Markets Authority. When Hunt ADR quote 70% of consumer wins it is not clear if that means a consumer receives a full refund. Hunt ADR appear to be there for ABTA members and not the consumer. Most of the reviews on this site appear to be for training courses, not abitration. Stay away and use the courts.

Per your response, surprised you are not aware of CMA guidelines, I did mentioned them in the evidence I provided. However, for the avoidance of doubt, see below

" In particular, for most consumer contracts, the CMA would expect a consumer to be offered a full refund where:

. a business has cancelled a contract without providing any of the promised goods or services
. no goods or services are provided by a business because this is prevented by the lockdown laws
. a consumer is prevented from receiving any goods or services, because, for example, lockdown laws in the UK or abroad have made it illegal to receive or use the goods or services

It goes on. All on the CMA website, please have a look and advise why you chose not to order a refund. Noted re your % of reviews. But most of your recent reviews appear to be for training service and not ABTA consumers ?

I have posted a previous comment for which Hunt have kindly responded stating that with arbitration there will always be winners and losers, and as a loser I am unlikely to be happy, which is true. Furthermore 70% of cases are decided in favour in the customer which they have quoted previously and proves they are independent, I am not in a position to dispute this data but thank them for the information. It is fair to say that Hunt ADR have been helpful in submitting my claim and did provide a comprehensive explanation to support their decision, which i understand albeit I did not fully agree.The reason for my post, as there are few forums available, is to call out my views on the end to end process, rather than Hunt ADR I.e. the process which includes ABTA is weighted in favour of the travel industry, as are the travel regulations which are vague and open to interpretation, again allowing the travel industry to hide behind rather than doing the right thing for the consumer.

In completing the certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution I found that the course was amazingly taught with great content. I feel I have learned valuable skills that can be transferred for many career paths I may choose.
