Love my shoes! Bought a pair of the Hylo Runs for the gym and half marathon training and I’m completely obsessed! So comfy, light and stylish!

I bought a pair of Hylo Run and Hylo Light plus a T-Shirt. Absolutely love them. Great quality, very comfortable and stylish. Highly recommend.

Hylo trainers have been advertised to me on social media for a while. I'd never bought expensive trainers before, but they were so stylish and had such a strong following that I splashed out on a pair of the white running trainers. I tried them on when they arrived and, although they weren't super comfy, I thought they might take a while to wear in. I can confirm that, after a month of wearing them for short runs (two to three 5k runs a week), if anything they're less comfy, and the inside heel has come away on one of them to I have to make sure the heel's in the right position before I put the shoe on. I can feel the band around the middle of the shoe pressing into my foot, and they don't hug my ankle so it feels like they're going to slip off. I'm really disappointed as I was so excited to receive them - I wish I'd tried them on first!

I ordered myself a pair of their LIGHTs and I am more than happy with them! The pair arrived quickly and fit me perfectly. I have since used them nearly everyday for the gym, they have been durable and very breathable and I highly recommend them. Can't wait to see what Hylo does next!

I tried to return a pair of shoes but there was no packing slip and no confirmation sent. So I had no order number with the shoes. I couldn't even start are return.

I have had a pair of Hylo lights for over a year and has been super happy with them. I recently replaced them with a new pair and had a small issue with one of the shoes. Hylo could not have been more responsive or accommodating when I contacted them with the issue. With many companies you struggle to find someone to help you let alone be so responsive. Jake immediately offered to replace the shoe and when I asked to upgrade to the Hylo run it was not an issue.
Hylo managed to turn a potentially negative experience into a hugely positive one and one which has made me even more brand loyal. It is a shame more companies do take a leaf out of Hylo's book. Thank you.

Meh, these trainers are okay - I think they're a case of really good branding and marketing but ultimately I feel like you could order any basic trainers from any white label brand and get the same quality.

The design is aesthetically pleasing, but they're not especially comfortable, hard wearing or protective of your feet. I would recommend considering how much you're buying into the brand and aesthetics before spending so much money on essentially some basic every day shoes.

This is really tough one as there are PROS and CONS

PROS
Great company ethos - love the sustainability aspect and the recycling of old trainers
Great customer service - quick and replaced my faulty trainers within days

CONS
Shoes are not durable at all - The first pair I wore lightly for walks. The material is not supportive enough as the material gives and stretches easily - they became baggy around the ankles. Certainly not good enough for running. I ran a suitcase over my foot by accident and a hole appeared on the top.
Design - as with some other reviews, I found my feet rolling over easily, maybe again due to the unsupportive material? and therefore I could feel the sole edges.

I did get in touch to return and they were great sending me a replacement pair of the newer version - I was hopeful and it appears that there have been reinforcements made by taping parts of the inside. They are marginally better but after a few weeks another hole appeared on the top. I still don't use for running, just every day wear.

I REALLY want this company to succeed and wish I cold give more stars but I feel their product needs more development.

Great communication from the CS team, being proactive in letting me know there would be a slight delay in delivery time. Shoes still arrived within a week and I love them!

I have been a big lover of Hylo since their inception around summer 2020 and first bought the V1 of the Hylo Light's in Jan 2021. I did 150km of running in these and who knows how many more KM's walking day to day for the 18 months following. They went through the mill. An absolute pleasure to wear.

This was before sending them back to Hylo for them to be succesfully recycled on their end in return for credit for a new pair! A brilliant initative that stops shoes going to landfill.

The t shirts are top quality as well, just like the customer service team. Same day replies from Jake @ Hylo. They have been a pleasure to deal with recently whilst I hassle them with one or two exchanges due to my oddly sized feet. The return system is seamless and the shipping is speedy AF.

The message the company are striving to put out there is one that everyone should get behind. What you run in, really does matter. Cannot wait for my 2 pairs of Hylo Run 3's to arrive in bright Solar and then Black/Solar Green.

Excited for the future of Hylo, the running industry needs to open its' eyes.

Through no fault of Hylo, my shoes were lost as a result of the Royal Mail strikes in the run up to Christmas.

When I flagged this to the Hylo Team, they were responsive, helpful and friendly! They sent me a replacement on the Tracked 48 service and they arrived exactly when they said they would.

I was thoroughly impressed with the customer service from start to finish - big shoutout to Jake for all the help 👏🏻

I have two great tshirts - quality seems good and I love the branding.

Trainers are very bad quality. I don't use trainers very often and the hylo trainers I bought lasted less than 2 months. They are tearing apart in many parts and I have not been able to get any answer from the support team. I do not recommend this trainers in any circumstances. Bad quality, worst service.

UPDATE: Hylo very generously offered to refund both my pairs after the issues I experienced. I hope to be able to support their brand again in the future.

I have bought two Hylo shoes since August 2021 and neither of them lasted more than a few months before falling apart. When I bought the second pair I noticed that it was a new version and so I hoped they might last longer, but yet again within 3 months the material started falling apart. For the price I paid I am extremely disappointed as I wanted to support a sustainable brand. But honestly, I have Adidas trainers that have lasted many times over either of my Hylo pairs.

I really like the style and fit. But they are stiff and don’t loosen up easily.
My major concern however is, when it is wet they have absolutely no grip. I slipped on rock, ripped a pair of jeans at the knee and was sore! Lucky for me it wasn’t more serious.

My first pair of corn runners were great for walking, but started fraying on the inner heel within a few months. I contacted customer service and they replaced my original order within a week. I’m very happy to be supporting a sustainable company with great customer service!

I posted a poor review of Hylo Athletics on the 11th of September, after a disappointing experience with the product and customer service. Within 24 hours of posting the review I had a response from Jake Portner, Growth Executive at Hylo, who apologised for my experience and went on to provide resolutions to the situations I had described. Yesterday afternoon (14th September) I got two pairs of Hylo Corn Runners to replace the one and a half pairs that had failed. Hylo have obviously listened to customer feedback about the shoes, and Jake is a fine example of how companies can and should respond to customer dissatisfaction. I hope the manufacturing solution of a new material in the heel "counter" is a long term one, the new shoes are much more flexible, easier to get on and off. Thanks to Jake and to a company ethos of doing the right thing.

Bought a pair of shoes and only worn them for city walking (nor running nor hiking) in dry weather. The shoes where initially very comfortable but after only a few weeks the inside of the heel on both shoes started to fray and has revealed an inner edge which makes the shoes quite uncomfortable. Contacted customer service several times but had no response.

Does anyone know how I exchange/return?? I have tried messaging Hylo, submitting the order #[it says order not found]. There was no receipt or packing slip in the box. I am beyond disappointed and also panicking because I wonder if I have been scammed!

I was so excited about Hylo. Loved the ethos and aesthetic of the trainers. I don’t run but I have flat feet and try to get comfy but stylish shoes for walking.

I bought my first pair of Hylos on 27 May 2021. As soon as they arrived, I loved the way they looked—even better than I expected. So, I ordered two more! It’s hard to find comfy, modern-looking shoes that fit size 12 flat feet.

What I didn’t know was that those first pair of shoes would start ripping in various locations within about 3 months. Just from walking!

Less than a year in, I had to throw the first pair (black) away. I thought maybe it was a fluke. So, I just started using the khaki Hylos as my walking shoes (and, of course, I stopped buying more Hylo). Within weeks, that one ripped too. I live in Central London… I’m not taking these shoes through hellish terrain or anything. Today, I’m throwing away the khakis too, just over a year after I got them (but they got multiple tears long before now).

I just bought some ASICS yesterday after doing some research online… they arrived today, and it’s so obvious the difference in quality… but it costs about the same as Hylo! I can’t keep paying over £100 for trainers that fall apart in 3 months. That is not sustainable.

I have one last pair of Hylos remaining (sand). They look so good but I know even moderate use will cause them to rip too. I’ve resigned myself to the fact that I can only wear them on date nights, when I take an Uber to and from the restaurant. And, fingers crossed, they won’t fall apart just from making contact with the floor.
