Hyperskill is a good platform to learn to code, they go from simple steps till the advance stuffs, they offers free courses.

The user experience, the gamification of learning and the quality of the content is better than average I'd say.

First, there are so many IT courses here that cost loads of money to pass and get certificate for, great job guys, appreciate this kind of act and people a lot!

However, for those unable to invest the necessary hours, progress may feel slow, potentially resulting in minimal benefits relative to the cost.

The platform's insistence on covering every concept through reading and practice, while beneficial for understanding, can impede swift learning and productivity. In contrast, my hiatus from the subscription revealed that alternate learning methods, such as independent readings and personal projects, yielded denser knowledge at a faster pace.

A notable drawback is the absence of an effective mechanism to pause subscriptions. Work demands or unforeseen circumstances may disrupt the learning pace, making it challenging to justify the continuous investment, especially given the relatively high cost. In my experience, during breaks from Hyperskill, I found alternative avenues that allowed me to acquire knowledge more efficiently.

While the web editor supports solving exercises in IntelliJ, a more direct integration with popular version control platforms like Github or GitLab would enhance the learning experience. This would streamline the process of versioning exercises.

The free plan is generally not worth the time, as its restrictive limits can be tedious and irritating, with better free alternatives available.

Hyperskill provides a thorough educational journey, but its rigidity in pacing, subscription management, and exercise versioning could be refined to better accommodate varied learning styles and circumstances.

I liked this site and its courses from one popular company so much that, if possible, I recommend it to everyone who wants to jump into the world of information technology. From the Russian Federation it is a little more difficult, but there are ways out of such situations.

I have been following the courses on programming for a while on free account. I think the content is well organized and parallel to the computer science concepts at universites but ofcourse with a simplified and basic approach. I do not expect a fully hands on course that is offered by some other bootcamp or diverse other organizations. I have tried once the project and the usage of your own IDE to solve the problems ir projects is a big advantage of Hyperskill on intellj products. I highly recomm3nd hyperskill if you intent is to learn and practice a new programming language in entry level. However, I have issues to justify the high pricing, I believe that it should be lower than 50cad / month.

What made my experience great is first the design of the whole platform its so intiutive, well organised, and technically curated. second its the content its bite sized into small bits that you can easily learn in a very short space of time. Third is the engagement metrics they are also nice. Fourth is the constant update of the content whenever new things pop up there are changes and adjustments. Fifth would be i dont know its just loveable to use the platform.

2. When you complete a project or any stage of the project, you are not given a reference solution, so you are forced to write bad code
3. Expensive!

I like how the free tracks are just as good as the premium ones. I learned quite a lot from their Python tracks and am about to dive deeper in their ML tracks. The tracks include interesting projects and lessons to help you achieve what once seemed impossible. Highly recommend.
Lastly it's hard to improve in something as broad as CS by yourself. Its much easier when there's someone there to guide you. Genuinely think you should give Hyperskill a try.

It is just stealing money, it is not a scum but they do not teach you anything, you have to learn all by yourself, They provide you a documentation in a regular manner. You are reading docs and trying to solve project stages, there are no main solution for project stages, they provide only other users solutions if you pass that stage. I ve just bought it for my perfectionism. All kotlin subjects available as a doc here, that is why I ve bought. It is definitely not worth to give 50 dollars, i still can't believe it is that much expensive.

I am learning Kotlin at Hyperskill.org. I found it very useful, engaging and interesting. I started many courses on other platforms but lost interest very soon. Hyperskill maintains discipline and interest. Moreover, their content quality is very good.

Their content is quite extensive, explanations and content are clear though you can pick out one or two topics that need a bit of clarity. Earning points is a great incentive as well as one's ability to redeem them. It encourages one to problem solve daily. The projects are a plus.

Love the short reading concepts and the practical exercises following the lessons. The ability to solve the coding problems in the Jetbrain IDE is seamless.
