Stellar tool for learning and mastering programming
I must say Hyperskill has exceeded all my expectations for programming self-education.
The curriculum is comprehensive and well-structured, with a step-by-step learning paths that covers a wide range of the Java programming language as well as some core concepts (and many other programming languages)
The interactive nature of its lessons is a work of ed-tech state-of-the-art; although the back and forth can slow you down sometimes if you are just reviewing a concepts.
My favourite part is the project-based approach. The projects are diverse and challenging. Most of the time, you can get help from the community as well. But be prepared to struggle (a bit), which is good IMO :)
The only "downside" that I see is the cost. I realize and support the fact that quality costs more (and here it is worth the learning budget). But for anyone using this while looking for work or being financianlly squeezed, the cost could be prohibitive.
I would also, really, love to see JetBrains creating a bundle/discount of Hyperskill and their IDEs, or giving access to some of their own (open-source) projects within the curriculum.
An easy 9.7/10
Hyperskill is one of the BEST!!
I really think that Hyperskill has the best teaching method! I just finished with the basics of Java and now I'm looking forward for my next projects which are gonna be :
HTML, CSS, Javascript, node.js and then front-end!
Good topics
There are a lot of important topics which I can learn and these topics make my knowledge stronger.
Hyperskill are great at educating and helping people
I have lost years waiting for a platform like Hyperskill.
Hyperskill helped me get new knowledge and refresh old one much faster than I would do it, trying to read hundreds of pages of tutorials and books.
It is much better when you have an interactive tool (like Hyperskill) with its theory lessons and exercises that can be repeated many times, and at your own speed.
Also, the client support of Hyperskill is competent and fast. Recently my problems have been solved faster than I could notice it.
The Hyperskill platform is the best.!!
The Hyperskill platform is, in my opinion, the best Project-Based Learning (PBL) sites currently on the market. It sits above all others due to its depth and breadth of knowledge - if you want to dive deep on concepts without reading the docs, then this hits the mark. Further, the platform uses various methods of assessments that make you think, try, succeed/fail, try again until you grasp the concept taught. Allows for integration with Jet Brains' products (some of the best IDE's) however, it still allows for completion without them. Plus a great support/staff, and helpful member's of the community you really cannot go wrong. The only draw-back is the costs, but it really is worth it.
This is the best site I have found for…
This is the best site I have found for learning new material whether beginner or expert. There are tracks for learning the matter that are easy - beginner to advanced - master.
I have been out of commission for many years due to health and have been trying to get back into programming. Other places I've been to assume you know a certain base level of knowledge which I am missing. They have tracks to learn GitHub for a person who has never heard of it (I have but haven't a clue where to begin using them.
I am up to speed and advancing into more technical material before trying to get back in the market.

I’ve used all sorts of resources for learning to code- from Udemy, to YouTube, to university classes, to textbooks, etc. Hyperskill is hands down the best way to learn to code.
Expensive, glitchy and hinders creativity/ problem solving skills.
Hyperskill is extremely expensive and it's not worth it overall. They don't necessarily provide anything unique. Things take too long to load and it's not very beginner friendly.

Antwoord van Hyperskill
Funny story
Funny story, I initially wanted to buy a Codecademy subscription but when I googled "Is Codecademy worth it, the first link which was a Reddit article claimed that hyperskill was better". That's what led me to checking out hyperskill and ultimately getting an annual subscription.
Hyperskill works well for me because I learn best by reading and that is how hyperskill teaches you all the theory. They teach you theoretical concepts in 5 to 20-minute segments (depending on the difficulty of the concept) and follow it up with a small quiz to verify that you understood what you just read.
After doing enough segments it will challenge you to apply everything you just learned to solve one of the parts of a bigger project.
The projects are not so hard that you will struggle on them forever but they are also not so easy that you will blow through them in a few minutes. Most projects will require you to do additional research online or look back into the material you just studied which I think is great.
There are quite a few learning tracks to choose from. I have done Java Core and Java Backend with Spring. I'm also starting with the Kotlin and Python tracks.
They encourage you to learn every day using their streak system which worked well for me. Even on my busiest days, I hop on to solve at least one question to keep my streak alive.
This is something that isn't talked too much about but I also think it's great that they give their students an all-access subscription to all their IDE's. It's not the biggest deal in the world but it's nice to see them add that value. For a person like me, it makes it easier to justify paying the cost.

Now with all the good out of the way, I think there are some improvements they could make and that's why they only get 4 stars from me.
Their mobile app already has a somewhat functional dark mode but their desktop website does not. I think they need to add that to the desktop ASAP.
I also think they should add the ability to have multiple tracks selected at the same time or at least add a "favorite" feature so that a user can favorite tracks to allow quick/seamless swapping between tracks.
With that being said they are always updating the platform and perhaps these features and under development as we speak.

Overall I think hyperskill is great.
Real software engineers learn through reading documentation and implementing solutions. Hyperskill teaches you in the same way, through reading topics and implementing projects.
I'd recommend it to anyone who is interested in getting a subscription. I myself will probably get another year once my current one is over.

I have a good basic refreshing my old programming skills and learned a basic object programming in Python.
Interesting and easy to learn
Interesting, easy-to-use website for learning programming
great knowledge but moderation...
I am learning Python and git but sometimes there are users who just send answers in comments and when you report them you can still click to view that comment so it just unfair thing you cannot stop someone from cheating but still great learning resource
Skills on my Schedule
Learning Kotlin is easy. They have picked the most important skills and required a combination of reading, answering multiple choice questions, and practice programming to convey them to me. You can easily be interrupted while you are doing this because they are very small chunks at a time. You can quickly move to your phone and back to your computer. I've finished half of the Introduction to Kotlin.

Hyperskill provides a structured learning environment, allowing beginners to acquire knowledge in a systematic way. The platform likely includes interactive exercises, challenges, and projects that facilitate hands-on practice. Learning by doing is a powerful approach, as it reinforces theoretical knowledge with practical experience.
By completing projects on Hyperskill, users can showcase their work on GitHub, creating a portfolio that reflects their skills and achievements. Mastery comes not just from theoretical knowledge but from the ability to effectively apply that knowledge to solve real-world problems.
Actually an amazing place to be in
Actually an amazing place to be in. Everything is pretty clear and well structured. A lot of stuff to learn, both via theory and practice.
I took the annual subscription and I think it's not expensive; In my opinion it is the right price.
Interesting Tasks And Instant Checking
Interesting tasks with instant checking encourage you not to stop and do more till the end.

Free some-month premium subscription for students.
