Amazing customer service from Priya

Amazing customer service from Priya. She was able to help me source some obscure small parts for my several year old iCandy Peach All Terrain.
We absolutely love the pram, it served us well for 5 years with several international long haul trips.

Priya really surpassed our expectations as were concerned we would not get the parts given their age and obscure nature (small plastic adaptors and bolts).

Absolutely terrible delivery paid extra to have it delivered next day and still waiting 5 days later … no offer of any type of refund at all just icandy and DPD blaming each other !!

Faulty, dangerous product and awful customer service. Don't be fooled by the fact it is a "premium" brand!

Pram arrived with a broken wheel - doesn't lock into frame, which makes it extremely dangerous to use as the rear wheel literally falls off as the pram is being pushed. Complained to iCandy as all prams are meant to come with a 5 year guarantee, but as it was purchased through a retailer (Very) they just told me its not their problem - even though the guarantee should be with them rather than the retailer. Awful, dangerous product plus terrible customer service!

Icandy peach 7 - broken seat no apology

I have had the icandy peach 7 for 9 months now.

*This product was bought via John Lewis, when complaining the complaint gets sent to Icandy direct as John Lewis obviously don’t make the product*

Two weeks ago the seat would not stay in one of the many positions you can move it into (lie flat etc) , if moving to lie down position or any other it would not ‘lock’ into place falling completely upside down or face first.

On what should of been a lovely walk to the park, my 9 month old fell completely upside down, the top of the seat was at the wheels and his feet were at my hands,
Obviously it is completely unsafe for my child to go in to, I made a complaint and this is the response I received form Icandy

“ John Lewis have been in touch with us regarding your pushchair, I have logged a case the reference number is Q090****, I have placed an order for a replacement head end to be sent to you, please allow 3-5 working days for the delivery”

I have to say I was extremely disappointed with icandy’s response. Whilst … if the replacement head end ( yet to receive) fixes the issue …
I am UTTERLY in shock at the lack of any apology or acknowledgement of the inconvenience caused from them, and the danger, especially considering this pram is sold with a 4-year warranty. A fault of this nature should not occur, particularly within only 9 months of use.

As a result of this issue, I have been left without a pram for my child for over a week and have had to purchase a temporary one at my own expense, which is both inconvenient and unacceptable.- not acknowledged by Icandy

Whilst Icandy have arranged for a replacement part, I did request a refund rather than a repair or replacement, as I have lost confidence in the iCandy brand ,I personally feel A pram costing £1,500 should not fail so soon after purchase, especially when advertised to last for years under warranty.
I and also shocked that Icandy weren’t shocked that this fault had happened.

A refund may not be something that would even been considered when a fault occurs but maybe an explanation of this would be nice.

Additionally, the response does not give me any explanation or insight as to why this fault occurred, which raises further concerns about the product’s reliability. And makes me slightly concerned that this could happen again. As I have said previously.. the pram seat tipped upside down with my child in it mid walk head first without warning … and therefore in all honesty I will never trust the pram again.

I am quite shocked they do not seem overly concerned that this has happened to their product. I did expect Icandy to want to inspect the pram to try and make sure this never happened again and to make sure they new which part had cause this issue, as in which case, if it’s not then head end, waiting for the replacement part could be a complete waste of time anyway, especially when they have not asked me to bring it in to be looked at etc.

Whilst this could be a completely one of for a icandy pram and many people love the brand, I am sure you can appreciate why I would be very concerned about using the pram again.

Besides the fact my pram has broken and I have had to purchase a new one as I was left without a pram. The biggest thing for me is there was not one apology in the response

We ordered the orange 3 low career…

We ordered the orange 3 low career adaptors but the wrong parts were sent out. Emailed straightaway and then phoned after weekend. The customer service were very helpful and the correct items were received the next day and the incorrect items collected too. Thanks for responding so quickly.

Icandy pram

Firstly I’d like to say the whole look of the icandy pram is lovely and it looks expensive, however for the cost it really needs to sort a few things out. The pram purchased was an Icandy 7 cerium (limited edition)

This is meant to be a high end pram, however I was very disappointed that I had to build it all. The baby basket should come built, this should not need to be put together. I then realised the reason it needs built is because the frame is the same frame used to transition into the buggy. Not ideal having to dismantle it all when you move to the buggy part.

The hood is terrible, it falls down at every bump in the pavement and is not large at all, therefore the sun umbrella is required a lot. All the other prams that I have seen and friends have do not require the sun umbrella as the hood is large enough to stop the sun going into the babies face.

The umbrella uses the same fixtures as the cup holder, therefore you can’t use the umbrella and cup holder at the same time unless you purchase another fixture. ( for the price, it should come with two).

Lastly the seating part of the pram is really not impressive. I wish I had known more about this pram being a “tilt” pram instead of a lay down pram - my little girl hates it and it looks very uncomfortable. The straps are so stiff and don’t move easily to allow you to put your child in the pram. The seat part itself is not big in terms of length - my little girl is long and she won’t get much use out of it due to the frame.

The cerium bag is closed with strings and magnets, however constantly opens when you put anything in it.

I have actually went and purchased another buggy. Very disappointed in this pram.

The carrycot does not come assembled due to reducing the packaging size, or adding more unnecessary packaging. This is for sustainability, which we strongly support and follow.

We do use the same frame for the carrycot and seat unit to also reduce storage.

Once the carrycot is no longer used this would leave a customer with a large carrycot to store (the carrycot after 6 months or when the child can turn is no longer needed) hence the carrycot to seat transition.

If there is a problem with the hood, please call in to discuss this or contact the store of purchase.

As far as the clamp is concerned, that is down to customer preference, (if they wish to add two more accessories to the chassis or not.)

The carrycot is not supposed to be on any tilt, please check the button at the top of the frame to make sure you leave the carrycot flat. Please check the manufacturing guidelines for this asap.

The Peach 6/7 are quite generous for children up to the weight of 25KGS with very deep side supports. iCandy are one of the first manufacturers to implement this on the market.

The harness straps are made for ease of use, it is designed to be simple, and efficient , very similar to most carseats on the market. This helps by not placing the child directly on the the harness straps, and gives the parent/parents more direct use to put the safety harness on with ease.

The Harness is integrated with the headrest, which helps the parent/parents, to simply move the headrest by pulling the headrest slightly towards them then pushing up or down to the child's correct height. This can also be found in the manufacturing guidelines

The bag as with all bags has a weight limit, if overfilled there might be a possibility of the bag coming open, but it would have to be very over filled. Please call in or speak to the store of purchase.

Although the picture of the whole package looks amazing I was dismayed to see that the wheels are not attached to the frame! So disappointed. I expected to put parts together but this is a crazy volume of parts for such an important vehicle … I seriously expected much more in terms of initial presentation given the cost

Thank you for your feed back.

There is a reason the rear wheels are not attached to the chassis, and you will find this will be most manufacturers across the board as well.

It is down to packaging of the pushchair, and also to protect the wheels whilst in transit.

The Peach rear wheels are quick release for customers convenience, and ease of use.

Terrible customer service on the phone…

Terrible customer service on the phone the lady could do with some customer service training ! Paid £5 postage on £6 part,I ordered wrong one, no exchange policy and now having to pay postage to send back and then postage again for part after purchasing a very expensive pram from iCandy which only come with one clamp/holder for parasol/cup holder
