I couldn't get the agency to arrange a viewing but I still paid the deposit. When I eventually saw the place, I realized it wouldn't be suitable for my furniture so I cancelled the lease. They then charged me what they called a damage fee and kept the entire deposit. I regret dealing with them because I was already struggling financially and this made things much worse. All that deposit would have served a better purpose on CVE Capital Corp

Hello, I would like to give Denzal Moyo a 100 per cent score rate. Denzal took the time and the patience to assist me with an issue of noise that occurred for 5 months.The issue was with another BC not assisting the issue. The issue was resolved in 3 days and now I can destress knowing Denzal was on it.

Devon Sobaren actually help with resolving the issue. Maintenance was done in speedy repair.

Natasha Janssen was great... at first.
Then came 3 months later when we found out the unit we rented was in fact up for sale, NO communication from Natasha, unanswered calls and texts.
Cut to Sheriff notices, continuous calls from agents wanting to have the place viewed for potential buyers etc. Again, NO communication from our so called agent.
Then we get to today, a call stating that our unit has in fact been sold and the new owner would like to move in on October 1st, 2026. Our lease is valid till March 2027.
The new agent has since informed us that Natasha knew this information SINCE JULY.
The only communication I have received has been to do with this goddamn review, any texts reverts me to an AI Bot and calls go unanswered. So.... Here is my review. Zero stars arent possible so a pity star will have to do.

The maintenance staff have found issues with our apartment when we moved out and now are stating that we need to fix things. Yet these things were damaged when we moved in and no inspection was done by them when we moved in. We logged complaints abt certain things but it was never repaired or fixed. So please make contact with us to sort out these issues. We have made numerous attempts to contact them via email. Nobody responds.

I would not recommend IGrow Rentals based on my experience with the deposit refund process.

After vacating my apartment and completing the outgoing inspection, I received a quotation containing various deductions. I reviewed the charges and raised queries where I believed certain items were incorrect.

To IGrow's credit, after reviewing the matter, they confirmed in writing that one of the charges would be removed. I then requested an updated quotation/final statement so that the remaining charges could be finalised and the balance of my deposit could be refunded.

The problem is the communication afterwards.

I have followed up repeatedly and have now received no response for weeks. My deposit is already beyond the applicable refund period, yet I am still waiting for the revised statement and the return of the balance.

What is particularly frustrating is that I have been cooperative throughout the process. I am not refusing legitimate charges; I simply expect the account to be finalised, the agreed adjustment to be reflected, and the remaining deposit to be returned within the required timeframe.

A rental deposit is a significant amount of money to a tenant. Tenants should not have to repeatedly chase a property management company for their own money or for basic updates regarding when it will be refunded.

My experience has unfortunately left me questioning the efficiency and communication of IGrow's deposit refund process. I hope this review encourages better communication and more timely handling of deposits for future tenants.

Igrow mislead us through Jade Pretorius and scammed us

I am speaking out because what my family is going through is unacceptable.

I entered into a lease in good faith, expecting a habitable home. Instead, I was given a different property than the one I viewed — one that was dirty, unlocked, and not fit for occupation.

Despite promises to fix it, nothing meaningful was done until legal pressure was applied — and even then, that was done on the day we were auppose to occupy the property, meaning we had to move in on the 16th instead of the 15th.

When we finally moved in, we discovered there was no electricity.

We have now lived over 23 days without electricity and counting

A municipal report shows the electricity meter was removed 4 months(2026/03/31) before we signed the lease, and a tampering fine of over R12,000 was issued. None of this was disclosed to us.

Since then:

- We have lost groceries due to spoilage
- We survive on takeaways daily
- Our kids schooling has been nagetively affected as they now don't have access to internet for school projects
- Our children do homework in a car
- We depend on friends 15km away for basic needs
- I have lost 9 days of overtime income
- My hypertension has worsened due to stress
- My UNISA studies have come to a complete standstill

The rental agency has ignored calls, stopped communicating, and even failed to attend a Tribunal mediation they committed to.

I have now:

- Opened a criminal case with SAPS
- Escalated the matter to the Rental Housing Tribunal for arbitration

This is not just negligence — it is a complete failure of responsibility and accountability.

No family should live like this.

This is my truth.
