An excellent walking holiday, well organised, interesting and very pleasant overnight stays. Everybody was very welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed the walking. We rarely met anybody on the paths until the last day which was a pleasant change from some of the very popular hiking trails we’ve done.

Hiking on our own on routes mapped out by people who obviously like walking and know the locality. Good hotels with good facilities, welcoming staff and excellent cuisine. Itinerary customised to our own preferences. All the info for our walks and accommodation clearly set out and easy to follow on paper and mapping app.

We loved the inns, but we could easily have found those on our own. What was really surprising was not getting any useful maps to use in the Welsh countryside (which is not a place that has well marked paths).
The older couple who were also traveling with Inntravel at the same time as us got lost and anxious and ended up hitchhiking back to the inn one day.
I found the Inntravel staff to be slow to respond and not especially helpful (for example, when I wanted to change the time for my taxi pick up I was told to just call myself, it would be easier - I would normally do that, but when I've paid as much as I did for their services, I was surprised that they weren't willing to make a simple phone call on my behalf).
We heard from one of the inn owners that other Inntravel clients had very poor experiences due to Inntravel's lack of organization. The worst one was a customer whose taxi never came, so the inn owner had to cancel an appointment and drive the customer to the train station so he didn't miss his flight).
The maps that were provided were truly laughable. Had we been told about some of the apps that exist - and that work really well - I would have felt like Inntravel had been more concerned about our welfare.
Overall, north Wales is STUNNING and the people are friendly, warm, and welcoming. I loved that part of the world and the walking paths were great. So go to Wales, just don't go with Inntravel.

We've used Inntravel for years but won't be using them again. We paid £3,000 for a walking holiday in France and Spain. The highlight according to reviews was a walk round the French coast. However, when we got there we discovered the trail had been closed for three months. We rang the company and they admitted they'd known but hadn't bothered to tell us. They gave us a £300 ex gratia payment and were advised to negotiate a discount on our return. However, customer services flatly refused to give us any more - apart from money off another holiday! In the end I wrote to the Managing Director and have heard nothing back. We're very disappointed that a company that used to pride itself in its customer service should now be so poor. But there are plenty of competitors out there.

From the start of planning our cycling holiday in Portugal to the return home, the customer service was excellent.
The itinerary, hotels booked, transfer of luggage and information given for every part of our holiday were all fabulous.
The website was a little ‘clunky’ but the personal service more than made up for that.
I would highly recommend Inntravel and will be booking again.

This is our 3rd cycling trip with Inntravel and was a great experience. Rides were off the main roads and were managed well with gpx files. The general topography and facts that we we started and ended in cities with no evening meals included prevented me from rating it a 5. But this was all noted when when we booked the trip so nothing was surprised. Inntravel made it easy to add days and all arrangements of e-bikes and hotels were done exceptionally well as always.

My preferences for the company is 1)to make communication for the arrangements easier by email or What’s app from the US due to time and cost for phoning and 2)to make it easier to share the detail communications of the trip with our fellow travelers through My Inntravel. 3.getting the final details a little earlier would be helpful too. I love this company and will use it again for our active travels.

This walking holiday in Provence is the second holiday we have booked with inntravel - the first was a four centre citybreak in Southern Spain. The booking team was extremely helpful in responding to our queries, and organised our car hire plans very efficiently to accommodate a 3 night stay in Avignon at the end of our walking week. The information folder provided was full of information about the local area and the walks but we were pleased we had also purchased a hand-held GPS unit which allowed us to download the Inntravel GPX files and cross-check we were on the right route - due to local conditions, signs and other markers were not always visible. The Hôtel du Poète in Fontaine-de-Vaucluse was indeed charming, with interesting landscaped grounds and kind and professional staff. The hotel restaurant provided excellent dinners (3 included in our hotel booking) and breakfasts and there was a good selection of other places to eat in the local town. Avignon was a good additional add-on and Inntravel provided a good walking route around the city and some very useful and enjoyable restaurant suggestions. We will be very happy to book another holiday with Inntravel.

Castles, Forests & Wines of Alsace

The holiday was very good indeed. The countryside with its forests, vineyards and beautiful villages is very beautiful.

The walking was excellent and on the whole the walking notes provided were accurate. Having said that, the .gpx files proved invaluable a number of times where the notes were not clear. The weather was kind to us, not too cold and not too hot - perfect walking weather. I would not want to do some of the walks if the temperature was above 25c as unless you are in the forest it would be too hot to walk through the vineyards.

The Auberge du Brand in Turckheim was excellent. Very good service and exceptional food. Turckheim was our favorite village. So beautiful and many nice places to eat and drink. The hotel in Turckheim, the Hotel Des Deux Clefs, is just fantastic. Beautiful inside with its eclectic decor, friendly staff and an even more friendly cat (Pipa)! Although we did not have dinner there as we arrived on a Wednesday and so the restaurant was closed, we did have an assiette which consisted of cheeses, cold meats, salads and bread one evening. This was just right as we had had a big lunch during the day. We had a bottle of riesling grand cru with our light meal which was excellent and very reasonably priced. We would definitely stay in this hotel again.

Last but not least, the Entreprise Taxi Christophe Grob was excellent. Christophe was such a lovely man and more than happy to share his extensive knowledge of the area, its history, food and wine. He said that we can call him if we need anything at all.

Excellent itinerary in Puglia. All the selected locations were really interesting with lots to see and explore. It was as described in their brochure with our stay in the Palazzo degli Abbati in Matera particularly memorable.Trip notes and tips for each location were very helpful.

We have been on a number of holidays with Inntravel and have not been disappointed by the quality of service received from first deciding on our walking holiday destination which can be quite difficult has there are so many excellent destinations to choose from. Once we have booked the holiday, the attention to detail with the organisation is excellent from the flights, taxi pickup, luggage transfers, hotels and meals, we have just returned from a walking holiday to Rocamadour. The walking maps and gpx files provided work well together to get the best from the routes provided as the notes have many points of interest or short detours which we have found well worth taking the time to make. We stayed in some lovely hotels in beautiful locations with outstanding meals provided. The people at all the hotels could not have been more helpful. The luggage transfers went smoothly with our bags waiting at each hotel we arrived at. The walking was superb with such variation of scenery, with many points of interest on the way. I would highly recommend this part of France to visit.

We enjoyed our Inntravel holiday, exploring Spain's southern cities by train. The trains were comfortable, mostly on time, and high speed. It was a great way of seeing the countryside without having to drive.
We visited Seville, Cordoba, Granada and Ronda, finishing up in Malaga. Our hotels were all very comfortable, and perfectly situated for exploring the cities on foot. The walking and sightseeing notes provided by Inntravel were very useful and a good guide of where to visit.

Well planned excellent information and courteous staff. And although there was a minor change of plan at the last minute their emergency service was quick to help

Great route planning, excellent information package, pick-up from airport simplified everything, and I loved the hotels, a bit of luxury after a long day’s walking is so welcome! Helpful staff at the end of the phone line and you get to speak to an actual human rather than an AI agent, which is always a plus.

Inntravel provide reliably first class walking holidays. They select comfortable hotels full of character and provide superb walking itineraries in every location. The support from first enquiry onwards is also excellent, led by friendly, knowledgeable staff.

We've just returned from a walking holiday around Lake Iseo with Inntravel - I couldn't recommend them more highly. They find unspoilt locations and great hotels and provide all the information you need - both written and in gpx files - to do some rewarding and beautiful walks in the area. Everything was seamless, from the airport pickup and luggage transfer to the airport drop off at the end, and the hotel staff were extremely helpful too.

Having been a loyal customer of Inntravel for a number of years (My next Inntravel holiday is imminent) I had intended to book another trip today. The price of this trip, quoted during a phone call, has increased by almost 21.5%, versus the current brochure price - Inntravel brochure pricing is "From" a stated value, recognising that the price excludes any air travel costs. I was advised by Inntravel's consultant that the quoted price is "In line with our latest/current reservations system" - whatever that supposed to mean - but it's simply opportunistic price hiking, without a justifiable reason. I'm very sad to say that our already booked holiday will be our last with Inntravel. There are other companies that now have better pricing structures.

We just recently completed a long distance walking tour in the Dordogne Valley in France from Meyronne to L’hospitalet(Rocamadour). Inn Travel met all of our expectations and more.Seamless organization from the start of our enquiry process, right up to providing excellent descriptions of all the walking trails, to perfect luggage transfer with all luggage being there for us in our rooms upon arrival.The selection of hotel accommodation was superb.In our first village of Meyronne we stayed in a chateau, eating Michelin star quality food served expertly ‘à la francaise’’ overlooking a lovely valley.This quality continued on our second village stop at Pont D’oussey in the village of La Cave where once again suppers and breakfasts were of superior quality with wonderful picnic lunches provided. A different flavour of down home cooking and family run hospitality awaited us in Cales at Le Petit Relais Auberge where as luck would have it there was a fabulous Flower Festival happening on May 1st while we were there. Our final stop at Le Troubadour a hotel in L’Hospitalet, just a short walk from Rocamadour, was very special as being somewhat off the beaten path it was peaceful with friendly staff who even took us to the train station at the end of our stay just to be nice.Staff were definitely a special highlight… always friendly and helpful with a good knowledge of English for those who need such language help. Very nicely set up with well marked trails showing the way clearly and loved having the option to spend more than one day at each location to allow for a nice extended walk around each village. The weather was perfect which was a bonus but trails were easy to follow with the addition of walking poles a great help. Spring is a lovely time to do this tour, beautiful Spring flowers were in abundance all along the way with temperate weather making it pleasant for sure. It was very quiet, we never really met other walkers until we hit Rocamadour which is very popular. Wonderful, peaceful experience of nature, with all the amenities that inn Travel provided to ensure maximum comfort throughout our lovely experience of walking in France.

We just finished a wonderful hike on the Costa Brava in Spain-Countryside to Coast! Fantastic walks, absolutely stunning scenery, wonderful hotels who served us really good food, and everyone was so very nice! Our plane from DC was delayed so we missed our train from Barcelona to Girona. But in true amazing InnTravel fashion, when I looked on my phone, they had already issued us new tickets for the next train! This company is really the best-we plan to continue doing their great hikes until we can walk no more!!!!!
