Ista energy is charging me £800.00 A month. Told them Arsenal Football Team didn't live here
After being charged £40-50 aday on my Ista prepayment meter and even when the heating is not turned on and hot water being used I turned off my meter. According to Ista energy I am to blame for the high charges because I keep turning my meter off. Well it's either turn it off or be changed £1000 a month for heating and hot water. I can't afford. This company is being used by Trinity Estates as an affordable energy solutions. Yeah right. I am currently not saying in my flat which is without hot water and heating. My family I staying with has been really great and angry about the situation as I am.
Incompetent
Incompetent! Don’t answer emails and issue random statements with no explanation- I received 4 on the same day. Received an overdue reminder…. and another one the next day. Customer service lines unable to answer simple questions. Avoid!

Considering we pay 2,000 each month for rent you’d have thought we would have a better energy provider, this company is useless and I will be speaking to the ombudsman, I have been requesting methods of payment for months since I moved in, the responses I got were there were ‘system issues’ and then all of a sudden we got all bills at once, I think this must have been some method to bill people all at once so that people who cant afford to pay 6 months rent get sent to a third party, seems dodgy and fraudulent to me. What sort of energy company has 6 months of system issues, joke, considering im high up in the building and have never put my heating nor my ac on in summer, it’s mental how much they’ve billed me, it’s not just me either as our whole communities facebook says the exact same
Worst ever company
I gave it one star because I cannot give it any less. The prices have increased astronomically and they cannot even provide you with a statement. They do not reply to your emails and in the meantime you keep falling 'in the red' and hemorrhaging money even when the heating is off. DO NOT WORK WITH THEM.

This company is borderline fraudulent
This company is borderline fraudulent. They massively hike up prices and then backdate the hike, leaving customers with a huge bill to pay. Then the communication is non-existent. Our block is exploring taking legal action against them

If I could give 0 stars I would. System is down and there is no way of contacting them. They don’t respond to phone calls or emails. I don’t know why company’s like this live to build a bad reputation for themselves. Avoid them at all costs they’re not worth it.
Appalling company, should be liquidated
Appalling company. Their meters and payment portal stopped working for two years, and they did not respond to any inquiries to fix it. They then came and billed tenants thousands of pounds for their own mistake.
Disgraceful customer service
Absolutely awful supplier, complete disregard for the customer and consistently ignore emails for weeks on end. They are still yet to supply a first bill for a property I moved into 7 months ago... Avoid at all costs!

Poor performances in the following aspects
1/ unreasonably charging the higher rate, paying the expensive energy bills using the method of charging electricity, heat air, cold air and administrative fees separately
2/ fail to issue the energy bills regularly. I paid my first energy bill during September and November last year and the duration from December last year to present is not managed. As a result, I need to pay a lump sum of money to the bills, affecting the family expenses
3/ unable to communicate efficiently in light of 2/ mentioned above
ista are charging double the rates set…
ista are charging double the rates set by ofgen for daily meter charges and a whopping 81.4 p per kwh when the rate set by ofgen for april 2023 is 51 p and when the average price per kwh in the north of england is 33 p per kwh, in addition they sent me x 8 bills within one week back dated 6 months when i was up to date with my payments, after they had sent the 8 seperate bills out they demanded a further £ 775 after managing to pay that bill they then sent me a further bill for £ 256 three weeks after paying them the almost £ 800, problem being ofgen will not get involved for x 2 months so in effect they are un lawfully evicting people and deliberately creating debt not owed to maximise their profits.

The most terrible company, I don't even know how they can operate legally, avoid as much as possible.
Invoices sent by email, no phone, no letter, you can't register, you can't contact anyone and when you manage to get in touch with someone they tell you that they sent the invoices by email but you can't see them because the email opens with an error

Hopeless. Don't send bills for months on end but when you phone to discuss, they have zero respect for customers. Not a very professional set up at all.

The bill is too high
The bill is too high. The bill from Ista is twice higher than my previous bill. They calculate the bill by estimate usage which is much to high. I pay £500 for one bedroom flat, two radiators and hot water have from electric heater. Absurd!! Very bad company.
Bad bad bad
I have been leaving in my flat for over 7 months and out of no where (nothing in my contract about them) they send me a bill for 170 pounds for 5 months and expected for me to pay immediately so I did cause not much choice left... I found it super expensive just for heating. I don’t use heating at my property so it seems like I am paying ridiculous amount just to have a hot water as bill for water it self’s comes separately.
Help line useless... can’t even provide you with a proof of payment.....
And bills cones as they wish monthly every 2 months.... but they super fast chasing if you haven’t paid... even when bill never was send...
